The difficulty of extracting oil from great depths due to the huge amounts of sand, water and other impurities has led to the fact that well jet oil pumps are becoming more common. Their use in oil production is facilitated by such factors as practical insensitivity to the content of gas and other impurities dissolved in oil compared to other types of pumps; simplicity of design and the absence of moving parts, which is inherent in all jet technology. The reliability and durability of jet pumps are an order of magnitude higher than those of any other pumps used in oil and gas production. Obtai

Oil reservoir pressure maintenance pumps are often pushed to operate significantly outside of their original design parameters. This can cause operating problems which impact their reliability and efficiency. The author offers the evaluation methodology for energy parameters and energy saving potential of oil reservoir pressure maintenance pumps in order to develop major pump parameters like efficiency, pressure, and specific electric power. The methodology was tested on 42 pump units. The values of variations of basic parameters indicate the energy saving potential of pump units.

The impact of pump parameters on dual-pump (2-P) fiber optical parametric amplifier (FOPA) is investigated. The four-wave model of coupled amplitude equations with fiber losses and pump depletion are solved numerically for the calculation of the parametric gain. Simulation results indicate that an increase in pump powers does not only enhances the parametric gain but also flattening the amplification bandwidth. Moreover, separating the pumps wavelengths further from each other can also improve the flatness of the bandwidth. Besides that, the parametric gain flatness can be improved when the se

The pump model consists of suction, impeller and discharge parts which are meshed and calculated together. This, for instance, naturally

This report investigates the current state of sealing in liquid hydrocarbon pipelines, regulations which have impacted the industry and technology which is available to improve performance. The study analyzed the following fundamental categories: Prevention, Prediction, Detection, Containment and Disposal. Prevention considers establishing and measuring objectives for seal operations and creating an infrastructure to insure these goals are met. Prediction is creating capabilities to effectively monitor sealing system parameters to predict and prevent failures. Detection is the area where indus

Abstract:
There is a high degree of freedom and flexibility in the way to integrate renewable process heat in industrial processes. Nearly in every industrial or commercial application various heat sinks can be found, which are suitable to be supplied by renewable heat, e.g. from solar thermal, heat pumps, biomass or others. But in contrast to conventional fossil fuel powered heating systems, most renewable heating technologies are more sensitive to the requirements defined by the specific demand of the industrial company. Fossil fuel-based systems benefit from their indifference to process temperatures
