Abstract:
LA3 pumpkins are one of the pumpkin variants cultivated in Indonesia, especially in Tegalrejo, Tegalsari Districts, Banyuwangi Regency. LA3 pumpkin production is relatively high, however, its utilization is still low. The waste of LA3 pumpkin pulp is relatively high because farmers only take its seeds. In the origin, during harvest time, LA3 pumpkins are harvested and stored for two weeks before taking its seeds, while the whole pumpkin can be stored for up to three months. After two weeks the pumpkin will be cut open and take their seeds, this action will reduce the pumpkin’s shelf life. Howe

The addition of a small amount of long chain polymers to a turbulent fluid is known to reduce the wall shear stress and drag. Similarly, the addition of pulp fibres to a turbulent suspension is also turbulent-drag reducing despite pulp fibres having a length scale that is 1000 times larger than polymer molecules. The mechanism of drag reduction and its impact on centrifugal pump performance is poorly understood, especially when there is a combination of polymer and fibres in suspension. When the medium is pumped at several different frequencies (equally spaced), different kinds of observables exhibit squeezing. Abstract:
Adjustable speed drive systems for pipeline pump applications have enabled variable speed pumping as a means of reliable capacity control. Through a number of case studies, these systems have proven to be as reliable as operating multiple pumps with a discharge control valve or recycling flow to reach the desired capacity variations. Adjustable speed drive installations offer a potential savings in energy efficiency compared to operating pumps in recycle or throttling at a constant speed, especially for installations where a large turndown is required to meet demand variations. As energy costs

Abstract:
Performance testing pumps in the field can be challenging and even more complicated when the pump is in crude oil pipeline service. Pumps installed in crude oil pipelines normally do not meet the basic requirements set forth in typical pump testing standards, additionally crude oil fluid properties are irregular, thus making it difficult to obtain the desired accuracy for proper evaluation and comparison to factory tests. All inconsistencies need to be evaluated and reconciled to successfully field performance test pumps pumping viscous fluid. The objective of this project is to develop a prac

Abstract:
Algae, zooplankton and fish are among the key players in the biological carbon pump that allows the ocean to naturally remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and store it at great depths. However, for this mechanism to function optimally, it needs nutrients, which are lacking in many places, at least in the light-flooded surface water. By pumping up nutrient-rich deep water, humans could remedy this nutrient deficiency. But whether artificial upwelling would actually have an effect on the climate, what risks it would entail and whether it could be technically and legally implemented on a la
