We compare the descriptions of the Garden of Eden in Genesis 1-3 with the geographical, archaeological and etymological evidences and textual parallels from Lake Van in Turkey, Qurnah in Iraq, and Pushkar in India. We develop a method of simultaneously considering the information from above four parameters to arrive at an overall level of parallel with the Biblical descriptions. We find that the descriptions find 15 percent parallels with Lake Van, 53 percent parallels with Qurnah and 72 percent parallels with Pushkar. Stem necrosis is a hot spot disease caused by Tospovirus, a groundnut bud necrosis virus strain for Rajasthan. The minimum per cent incidence (5.56%) of stem necrosis was recorded with the variety Kufri Sindhuri and Kufri Pushkar (7.69%), while the maximum per cent incidence (24.87%) in Kufri Pukhraj and Kufri Bahar (23.75%). Out of three sowing dates, minimum disease incidence was recorded on 3rd planting date. Discotettiginae were recently synonymized with Scelimeninae, but the polyphyletic genus Hirrius Bolívar, 1887, with five species endemic to the Philippines and Sulawesi, remained an unsolved issue. Abstract Stable isotopic composition of groundwaters and their hydrochemistry have been used for investigating possible existence of both palaeo-water and replenishable groundwater in Pushkar (Ajmer) Valley, Rajasthan. Causes of salinity increase in some of the groundwaters and intermixing of saline and fresh groundwaters have also been studied.
