Abstract:
The debate over 'environmental refugees' is prominent in the literature on environmental change and human migration. Protagonists in the debate are 'maximilists' and 'minimalists' depending on their support for the concept. This article argues for the use of 'proponents' and 'critics' of the term. A nuanced critique of the 'proponent account' is offered, showing how the 'environmental refugee' is a particular representation of the relationship between environmental change and migration. There are conceptual problems in 'proponent' models, regarding both migration and development. These pertain to a sedentary bias and a reliance on pushpull, neo-classical models of both migration and the migrant. Some accounts are ahistorical and apolitical. The article advocates a research agenda that focuses on the interactions between environmental and nonenvironmental factors in mobility decisions, and that is historically relevant and contextually specific.Keywords: environment, migration, environmental refugee, discourse, representation

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kit praktikum Elektronika Dasar II berbasis simulator Proteus untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa.Hasil observasi dalam prapenelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa kesulitan merangkai komponen elektronika, kekurangan waktu praktikum, dan kesulitan dalam mendapatkan data.Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini dilakukan pengembangan kit praktikum Elektronika Dasar IIberbasis menggunakan simulator Proteus. Melalui kit praktikum mahasiswa fokus pada proses pengambilan data dan menganalisis sinyal keluaran rangkaian elektronika.Sedangkan simulator Proteus dapat membantu dalam mengamati gejala-gejala yang tidak dapat diamati langsung dan sebagai data pembanding. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan dengan tahapan adalah analisis kebutuhan, pengembangan produk awal, validasi ahli, uji lapangan dan revisi produk. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Fisika FMIPA Universitas Bengkulu semester ganjil 2018/2019dengan subyek penelitian ini adalah 22 mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan metode observasi dan kuesioner yang dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kit praktikum yang berhasil dikembangkan terdiri dari delapan percobaan yaitu penguat common drain, common source, emitor ditanahkan, pushpull, respon frekuensi rendah, inverting dan non inverting, integrator dan diferensiator, dan filter aktif. Kelayakan kit praktikum sebagai media pembelajaran di laboratorium berdasarkan validasi ahli sebesar 82,50% (sangat layak) dan berdasarkan pengguna sebesar 82, 64% (sangat layak). Kata kunci: kit praktikum elektronika dasar II, simulator proteus, praktikum berbasis masalah ABSTRACT This study aims to develop a Basic Electronics II practicum kit based on the Proteus simulator to improve students' problem solving abilities. The results of observations in the pre-study showed that students had difficulty assembling electronic components, lack of practicum time, and difficulties in obtaining data. To overcome this problem, the development of Basic Electronics II based practicum kit using the Proteus simulator is carried out. Through the practicum kit students focus on the process of data retrieval and analyzing the electronic circuit output signal. Whereas the Proteus simulator can help in observing symptoms that cannot be observed directly and as comparative data. This research is a type of research and development with stages are needs analysis, initial product development, expert validation, field testing and product revision. This research was conducted in the Physics Laboratory of the University of Bengkulu FMIPA odd semester 2018/2019 with the subjects of this study were 22 students. Data collection was carried out using observation methods and questionnaires which were analyzed quantitatively descriptively. The results showed that the practicum kit that was successfully developed consisted of eight experiments namely common drain amplifier, common source, ground emitter, pushpull, low frequency response, inverting and non-inverting, integrators and differentiators, and active filters. The feasibility of the practicum kit as a learning media in a laboratory based on expert validation is 82.50% (very feasible) and based on the user is 82, 64% (very feasible). Abstract:
The utilization of ozone is commonly applied in various fields, for instance, it is used as a disinfectant for water treatment, disinfecting, sterilizing medical devices and preserving foodstuffs. Ozone is a nearly colorless gas with a characteristic odor that can be detected by humans up to 0.01 ppm. It can be produced by the dielectric barrier discharge method,which is generally used as a method of generating ozone supplied by high voltage or also called high voltage plasma generators. High voltage plasma occurs in the dielectric barrier discharge air gap, as a result of the air failed in maintaining its insulator properties. The power supply used in this study is a parallel resonant pushpull inverter using a flyback transformer. Furthermore, this study did not use an additional magnetic loudspeaker and used ceramic dielectrics instead. 5 types of ceramics and 2 different types of granite and combined the range of air gap were used during examination and research. The research indicates that the best plasma was found in ceramics 3, 5, granite 1 and 2 with an air gap of 2mm. The current discharge in ceramic 1 with an air gap of 2 mm was higher than the others. The highest voltage discharge was on granite 2 with an air gap of 2 mm. Ceramics 3, 5, granite 1 and 2 with an air gap of 2mm had better ozone concentrations than ceramics 1, 2 and 4.

Abstract:
Le travail présenté dans ce mémoire concerne les oscillateurs hyperfréquences contrôlés en tension et réalisés en technologie MMIC. Ils sont utilisés dans les radars automobiles et dans des applications de télécommunications. Après la présentation des deux domaines d’utilisation des oscillateurs, nous nous intéressons au bruit de phase de l’oscillateur. La deuxième partie est consacrée à la présentation d’un modèle de bruit avancé pour la filière TBH InGaP/GaAs constitué de sources de bruit basse fréquence cyclostationnaires. Une filière de transistors TBH de la société UMS (United Monolithic Semiconductors) a été utilisée pour déterminer l’architecture de ce modèle afin qu’il permette de prédire précisément le bruit de phase des oscillateurs. Dans la troisième partie, nous présentons la méthode de conception et d’optimisation des performances d’oscillateurs contrôlés en tension en technologie MMIC et de configuration « pushpush ». Enfin, les résultats de simulations et de mesures obtenus, confirment la précision du modèle de bruit basse fréquence. De plus, les performances de plusieurs oscillateurs sont présentées et comparées aux OCT existants<br>The work presented in this memory is related to the microwaves voltage controlled oscillators (VCO). These VCO are used in the automobile radars and telecommunications applications. After the presentation of the two fields of application of the oscillators, we are interested in the phase noise of oscillators. The second part is devoted to the presentation of an advanced low frequency noise model of InGaP/GaAs HBT. The cyclostationary low frequency noise sources are justified. The whole noise model is implemented in the nonlinear HBT model used in the UMS foundry. In the third part, we have applied the design method and optimisation of performance of voltage controlled oscillators in MMIC technology and "pushpush" configuration. Finally, simulations and measurements results validate the proposed low frequency noise modelling of multi-fingers HBT. Moreover, performance of several oscillators are presented and compared with existing VCO

Abstract:
IS literature continues to highlight the issues of strategic business and IT planning alignment to achieve business performance. As an alternative to the mainstream models in the planning and implementation of the IS/IT by an organization, this chapter proposes an externalized approach by identifying the market driven needs through the firm’s value proposition to the customer derived from the product/service consumption. The market based push-pull framework is to ensure that the push strategy of the firm in what it wants to offer and at a price that it intends to offer is matched with the pull strategy of the market in what it wants to buy and at a price it is willingly to pay. This externalized customer value is reconciled by the internalized firm’s creation and delivery of the value as proposed by the firm based on the reconciliation of the market-pull and firm-push value proposition affecting customer satisfaction. Once the market pull and firm push strategy is identified, the alignment of the IT would be based on the pushpull effect of the business requirement to serve and satisfy not only the internal customer needs but also the more important external customer needs and requirements in term of the firm’s value proposition. The IT as a key enabler would be the main enabling mechanism to create and deliver on the value as proposed to the customer. A case study of how a university revamp its Information Management System by aligning the external and the internal elements is used to illustrate this reconciliation in its market driven IS/IT planning. The “market driven IS/IT” planning model is the base of the strategic integration of the internal and external elements that is contended to address the key planning issues in a more integrated and comprehensive way.
