Solar parks are currently considered a new source of carbon-free energy. At the same time, they encroach on our landscape and create new conditions for flora and fauna. Vegetation responds to changes in living conditions. The aim of this study was to evaluate the changes in soil conditions induced by solar parks using vegetation bioindicators. A vegetation assessment was carried out in a solar park located in the cadastral territory of the municipality of Unín (Czech Republic). Optimizing the operation of photovoltaic (PV) storage systems is crucial for meeting the load demands of parks while minimizing curtailment and enhancing economic efficiency. This paper proposes a multi-scenario collaborative optimization strategy for PV storage systems based on a master–slave game model. Three types of energy storage system (ESS) application scenarios are designed to comprehensively stabilize PV fluctuations, compensate for load transfers, and participate in the frequency regulation (FR) market, thereby optimizing the overall operational strategy of PV storage systems in park

Abstract:
The growing integration of renewable energy and electric vehicle loads in parks has intensified the intermittency of photovoltaic (PV) output and demand-side uncertainty, complicating energy storage system design and operation. Meanwhile, under carbon neutrality goals, the energy system must balance economic efficiency with emission reductions, raising the bar for storage planning. To address these challenges, this study proposes a two-stage robust optimization method for shared energy storage configuration in a park-level integrated PV–storage–charging system (PV-SESS-CS). Abstract:
A solar-powered automated transportation network (ATN) connecting the North and South campuses of San José State University with three passenger stations was designed, visualized, and analyzed in terms of its energy usage, carbon offset, and cost. The study’s methodology included the use of tools and software such as ArcGIS, SketchUp, Infraworks, Sketchup, Rhinoceros, and Autodesk 3DS Max. ATN vehicle energy usage was estimated using data from the university’s Park & Ride shuttle bus operation and by modeling with SUMOPy, the advanced simulation suite for the micro-traffic simulator SUMO.

Abstract:
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are an important set of metrics used to assess various aspects of photovoltaic (PV) systems, including their long-term performance, economic viability and carbon footprint. Technical KPIs support data-driven and informed decision-making when optimizing PV systems and provide a comprehensive overview of how PV systems operate across different conditions and climates. Different KPIs are commonly employed throughout the entire value chain of PV projects and can be categorized into technical, economic and sustainability aspects. In this work, a set of best practic
