The possibility of security becomes a significant factor when a bar code contains sensitive information or private data Users are unsure of whether a QR code will connect them to reliable information or a malicious website because QR codes are simply square bar codes with a distinctive design. Recently, QR codes have been used in numerous application fields, and their use is growing quickly. As a result, more individuals are becoming acclimated to this technology and using it properly. Due to the QR code's increasing popularity as more people use smartphones, it is swiftly acquiring universal acceptance. Given their broad acceptance, the security aspect of QR codes, such as data leakage and data tampering, is critical. The paper offers a comprehensive overview of QR codes and their applications.

Sudut deteksi pola yang menjamin stabil tiga bacaan pada kecepatan tinggi dan dapat memperbaiki kesalahan atau data dapat dikembalikan bahkan jika sebagian rusak atau kotor. QR Code memiliki karakter yang terbagi dalam empat karakter yaitu numerik, alphanumerik, bit, kaji. QR Code dihasilkan dari proses encoding dengan melakukan konversi atau masukan data ke dalam bentuk biner, sehingga encoding dapat diidentifikasi kebutuhan input data yang dihasilkan dalam QR Code, menentukan versi QR code dan tingkat Error Correction. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan cara bagaimana Melakukan proses encoding alphanumerik dan numeric QR Code dengan membandingkan respon rime dari hasil generate kedua QR Code tersebut. Dengan cara melakukan pemindaian pada QR Code alphanumerik dan numerik. Dari hasil pengujian Pemindaian QR Code alphumerik dan numerik yang dilakukan didapat bahwa QR Code numerik memiliki respon lebih cepat 0.3 Detik dari QR Code alphanumerik. Abstract:
Quick Response Code (QR Code) is a two-dimensional image that has the ability to store data. QR Code is commonly used to store data in the form of text, be it numeric, alphanumeric, or binary code. QR Code is widely used for commercial purposes, especially in Japan, usually contains a url link to a specific address or simply text containing advertisements, promotions, and others. One of the things that is not commonly used in QR codes is inserting images into the information it stores. This can increase readers' appeal, especially for advertising, posters, and other commercial matters.This research conducted a study on the possibility of making a QR Code from text input data. Therefore an analysis is carried out on how to make the image the content of the information contained in the QR Code. The solution offered is to convert the text into another representation that can be understood by the QR Code generator and QR Code reader. Previously, the text file was converted into binary.This research also generates QR Code Generator and QR Code Reader, where the input data is in the form of text, then tested to be applied in the real world. The software implementation is done using PHP with MySQL database.

ABSTRAKSalah satu bukti pesatnya perkembangan teknologi digital, yaitu adanya QR-Code yang sangat bermanfaat, salah satunya bagi dunia pendidikan, yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA yaitu pembuatan sistem informasi inventarisasi tanaman berbasis QR-Code untuk mengatasi kesulitan dalam mengidentifikasi berbagai jenis tanaman. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah; 1. Membuat QR-Code dan database inventarisasi tanaman; 2. Mengetahui respon peserta didik terkait pembuatan QR-Code dan database inventarisasi tanaman. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan di Annuban Wang Mai Sasanasart School yang terletak di Satun, Thailand Selatan. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 3 guru dan 17 peserta didik. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan metode penelitian terapan, langkah kegiatannya yaitu pendataan jenis tanaman, pembuatan QR-Code, pemasangan QR-Code, dan pembagian angket kuesioner. Didapatkan respon bahwa 57,1% siswa mengetahui tujuan pemberian QR-Code, merasa mudah dalam menggunakan QR-Code dan mengenal jenis tanaman, dan 42,9% sedikit mengetahui tujuan pemberian QR-Code, merasa sedikit mudah dalam menggunakan dan mengenal jenis tanaman, 85,7% siswa memahami manfaat pemasangan QR-Code, dapat memberikan informasi klasifikasi tanaman, memberikan motivasi belajar dan 14,3% siswa menjawab sedikit bisa, 71,4% menjawab bisa menggunakan QR-Code dan 28,6% sedikit bisa, 57,1% merasa mudah menggunakan QR-Code dan 42,9% sedikit mudah, seluruh siswa menjawab QR-Code memberikan pengalaman baru dan dapat menyediakan informasi lebih banyak terkait tanaman. Kata kunci: identifikasi tanaman; QR-Code; pembelajaran IPA. ABSTRACTOne evidence of the rapid development of digital technology, namely the existence of a QR-Code which is very useful, one of which is for the world of education, which can be used in science learning, namely the creation of a QR-Code-based plant inventory information system to overcome difficulties in identifying various types of plants. The purpose of this service activity is; 1. Create a QR-Code and plant inventory database; 2. Knowing the responses of students regarding the creation of QR-Code and plant inventory databases. This dedication activity was carried out at the Annuban Wang Mai Sasanasart School which is located in Satun, Southern Thailand. This activity was attended by 3 teachers and 17 students. This service is carried out using applied research methods, the activity steps are collecting data on plant species, making QR-Code, installing QR-Code, and distributing questionnaires. The response was that 57.1% of students knew the purpose of giving the QR-Code, found it easy to use the QR-Code and recognize the types of plants, and 42.9% knew little about the purpose of giving the QR-Code, felt it was a little easy to use and recognize the types of plants, 85.7% of students understand the benefits of installing the QR-Code, can provide information on plant classification, provide motivation to learn and 14.3% of students answer a little can, 71.4% answer can use the QR-Code and 28.6% can a little, 57 .1% found it easy to use the QR-Code and 42.9% found it easy, all students answered that the QR-Code provided a new experience and could provide more information about plants. The average rate of overall success with the test scenario ZXing QR-Code Library by 94%. The average rate of overall success with the test scenario QRAFTER application on Iphone 6s Plus from the laptop screen and hardcopy respectively by 100%.

This research mainly talks about the use of quick response (QR) code reader in automating of recording the users' face. The applied QR code reader system is a dynamic type, which can be modified as required, such as adding a database, functioning to store or retrieve information in the QR code image. Since the QR code image is randomly based on its information, a QR code generator is required to display the image and store the information. While the face recorder uses a dataset available in the OpenCV library. Thus, only the registered QR code image can be used to record the user's face. To be able to work, the QR code reader should be 10 to 55 cm from the QR code image.

Abstract:
Quick response (QR) code is a printed code of black and white squares that is able to store data without the use of any of the electronic devices. There are many existing researches on coloured QR code to increase the storage capacity but from time to time the storage capacity still need to be improved. This paper proposes the use ofcompress, multiplexing and multilayered techniques, as an integrated technique known as CoMM, to increase the storage of the existing QR code. The American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) text characters are used as an input and performance is measured by the number of characters that can be stored in a single black and white QR code version 40. The experiment metrics also include percentage of missing characters, number of produced QR code, and elapsed time to create the QR code. Simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm stores 24 times more characters than the black and white QR code and 9 times more than other coloured QR code. Hence, this shows that the coloured QR code has the potential of becoming useful mini-data storage as it does not rely on internet connection.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to explore methods of producing Quick Response (QR) Code, its customization, artistic look and applications and elaborate the technique of generating QR Code for library bibliographic records. Design/methodology/approach – Through literature review, the study explored methods of generating QR Code and its applications in academic libraries. Based on research work and implementation experience, an efficient procedure for generating QR Code for bibliographic records was developed. Findings – The study identified methods of generating QR Code, its customization and applications, and established the technique of generating QR Code for library bibliographic records. Originality/value – The study is expected to facilitate the growth of QR Code’s visibility and success, and its mainstream adoption. The technique of generating QR Code for library bibliographic records in the study should be instructive for similar projects.

QR code (quick response code) is used due to its beneficial properties, especially in the mobile payment field. However, there exists an inevitable risk in the transaction process. It is not easily perceived that the attacker tampers with or replaces the QR code that contains merchant’s beneficiary account. Thus, it is of great urgency to conduct authentication of QR code. In this study, we propose a novel mechanism based on visual cryptography scheme (VCS) and aesthetic QR code, which contains three primary schemes for different concealment levels. The main steps of these schemes are as follows. Firstly, one original QR code is split into two shadows using VC multiple rules; secondly, the two shadows are embedded into the same background image, respectively, and the embedded results are fused with the same carrier QR code, respectively, using XOR mechanism of RS and QR code error correction mechanism. Finally, the two aesthetic QR codes can be stacked precisely and the original QR code is restored according to the defined VCS. Experiments corresponding to three proposed schemes are conducted and demonstrate the feasibility and security of the mobile payment authentication, the significant improvement of the concealment for the shadows in QR code, and the diversity of mobile payment authentication.

Different color patterns of quick response (QR) codes, such as RGB, grayscale, and binary QR codes, are widely used in applications. In this paper, we propose a novel XOR-based visual secret sharing (VSS) scheme using grayscale QR codes as cover images and binary QR code as secret image. First, all the codewords of the secret QR code image are encoded into n temporary binary QR code images, which are substituted for the second significant bit planes of the grayscale QR code cover images to generate n shares. Each share is a grayscale QR code image, which can be decoded by a standard QR code decoder, so that it may not attract the attention of potential attackers when distributed in the public channel. The secret image can be recovered by XORing the codewords regions of QR codes which are extracted from the second significant bit planes of the grayscale shares. More importantly, the proposed scheme is robust to JPEG compression, addition of different noises, rotation, resizing, and cropping, which is useful in practice. The effectiveness and robustness of our scheme are shown by the experimental results. The application of QR code is suitable for wireless multimedia data security.

Adapun rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan metode SDLC model Prototype. tahapan yang akan dijalankan pada penelitian ini dibagi menjadi enam, yaitu pemilihan logika kode Hash, pengembangan antarmuka aplikasi berbasis web, pembuatan private key dan public key, pengembangan antarmuka aplikasi berbasis mobile, integrasi fungsi yang dibuat dengan aplikasi web, dan integrasi fungsi yang dibuat dengan aplikasi mobile. Information and communication technology (ICT) contributes significantly to the optimization of the promotional design. QR-Code is one of the technologies that can improve promotional media to be more informative and interactive, especially visual media. The various information embedded in the QR-Code can provide varied impressions to the user. On many occasions, QR-Code can even direct to transactions. This advantage is packaged in a simple appearance because it is a one-dimensional to two-dimensional development of barcodes. These characteristics make QR-Code as a designing promotional media technology that every business actor must mastering. This paper describes the training conducted to improve promotional design skills that are integrated with QR-Code technology. The training is carried out in collaboration with Rumah Siap Kerja, through the video conference platform. The training results show an increase in knowledge and skills in integrating QR-Code technology into promotional media. Teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) berkontribusi besar dalam optimasi desain promosi. QR-Code menjadi salah satu pilihan teknologi yang mampu meningkatkan media promosi menjadi lebih informatif dan interaktif, terutama media promosi jenis visual. Berbagai informasi yang ditanamkan dalam QR-Code dapat memberikan impresi yang bervariatif kepada pengguna. Dalam banyak kesempatan, QR-Code bahkan dapat mengarahkan terjadinya transaksi. Keunggulan ini dikemas dalam tampilan yang sederhana karena pada dasarnya merupakan pengembangan barcode satu dimensi ke dua dimensi. Karakteristik ini menjadikan QR-Code sebagai teknologi yang wajib dikuasai oleh setiap pelaku usaha dalam mendesain media promosi. Makalah ini memaparkan pelatihan yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan desain promosi yang terintegrasi dengan teknologi QR-Code. Pelatihan dilaksanakan atas kerjasama dengan Rumah Siap Kerja secara daring melalui platform video conferences. Abstract:
A multi-purpose image-based QR code is designed in this paper. There are four purposes for the generated image-based QR code. In the first purpose, the basic image-based QR code with the look of a host image is with an ingenious layout to be identified easier. In the second one, a saliency region detection method is adopted for enhancing the quality of the image-based QR code. In the third one, the host image is embedded into the image-based QR code for further access to the host image; Finally, the visual cryptography-based watermarking method is applied to the host image embedded image-based QR code. In the case that the specific users need verification from the image-based QR code, the binary verified image can be retrieved when the public share is available. The experimental results demonstrate that the generated image-based QR code not only looked better than some previous works but also had high quality host image embedded and identification ability.

Abstract:
The development of a QR code as a barcode label contains information about the item to which it is attached. However, information on QR code development in engineering science laboratories is still limited. The aim of this research is to design the QR code lab manual for laboratory work in polytechnics engineering science course. In addition, the students’ views in construct of easiness of use, usefulness and enjoyment using the QR code are also investigated. The QR code lab manual involved seven steps of development under the engagement theory in teaching and learning. Learning materials are embedded into the QR code within 1 sheet of an A4 size card. A total of 64 students were chosen using purposive sampling. Data from survey questionnaires revealed that the respondents have a high level for all the constructs. It has been suggested that students perceived the QR code lab manual developed as a useful tool that is easier to use in the future. This QR code lab manual allows educators to connect the traditional teaching style and provide students with a more genuine and unforgettable educational experiences. Future studies should consider a different experiment with the new design for QR codes with additional constructs and a variety of perspectives. Abstract:
A classifier of QR-codes, which are used in light industry and are divided into static, dynamic, combined is developed in this work. Static QR codes can be digital, text or symbolic. Digital QR-codes are divided into subspecies: product code, product price, manufacturer code, date and other numerical designations. Text QR-codes are divided into subtypes: product name, product description, manufacturer and other text designations. Symbolic QR-codes are divided into subtypes: special symbols, formatting symbols and other marking symbols. Combined together, several types of QR codes form a combined code. Frequently static and dynamic QR codes are combined. Dynamic QR codes can only be combined. Based on the survey data, we can assume that the most important are the four main ways to use the QR-code are: “Outdoor advertising”, “Code on goods”, “Electronic ticket” and “Discount code”. Other ways to use a QR code, according to experts, have a much lower impact in terms of application. These include: “Invitation to social networks”, “Tourism”, “Banking”, “Company logo”, “Clothing and accessories”, “Tattoos”. This opinion of experts is typical only for Ukraine, because according to foreign studies, tattooing a QR-code on the human body is quite often met. Taking into account the results of the study, a label for products was made using a QR-code, which contains a link to the site TKSHV – Market. On the site it is possible to get acquainted in more detail with the products made at the department, to provide consumers with information about them. From the site it is possible to go to the Telegram-channel, where it is convenient to ask additional questions, see the process of creating a QR-code and more. It is also planned to create other channels on social networks, such as Instagram, Facebook, Viber. This will allow the consumer to use a more convenient social network.

In this paper, a novel visual secret sharing (VSS) scheme using QR codes is investigated. The proposed visual secret sharing scheme based on QR codes(VSSQR) can visually reveal secret image by stacking sufficient (shadow images) shares as well as scan the QR code by a QR code reader. Our VSSQR exploits the error correction mechanism in the QR code structure, to embed the bits corresponding to shares generated by VSS from a secret bit into the same locations of QR codes in the processing of encoding QR. Each output share is a valid QR code, which may reduce the likelihood of attracting the attention of potential attackers. The secret image can be recovered by stacking sufficient QR code shares based on the human visual system without any computation. In addition, it can assist alignment for VSS recovery. The experiment results show the effectiveness of our scheme.

The face authentication system using two security factors: an invisible F-QR (face QR) code printed on an ID card and face recognition using AI camera is presented in this paper. F-QR codes with facial features are generated by a chain processing of face detection, face property extraction and QR code generation. The F-QR code is printed on a plastic ID card using a 1064 nm fiber laser. The ID card is made of special materials, including a layer of filter material that allows the 1064 nm laser to pass through while blocking visible lights so that the printed F-QR code on the card is invisible to the human eye or conventional QR code readers. Face authentication is implemented using a dedicated invisible F-QR code reader combined with an AI camera to decide the Cosine similarity between two face feature vectors to make an accurate decision for the authentication.

Quick Response (QR) code is commonly utilized in this era to serve multiple purposes. In order to uplift the data size of QR code, higher versions of QR code are introduced for greater data size. Nonetheless, the current QR code has met the bottleneck of data size. The latest version of QR code (version 40) now can only encode up to 4 kilobytes of data. Besides, QR code version 40 is unable to be decoded easily due to the high layout density. Hence, this research’s objective is to develop a Multi-color Code which involves multiple colors to uplift the data size. Similar to the QR Code, the Multi-color Code (McC) also consists of the features of auto rotation and error correction. The outcome of the research is the developed McC can achieve up to 10Kb. Besides, McC is capable to encode image file for offline identification. The results shows that the auto rotation feature, Reed-Solomon error correction algorithm, developed Lanczos-8 interpolation method and adaptive piecewise transformed normalization contribute in yielding 100% decoding accuracy.

Therefore, the author will create a QR code that contains information about the items in BNNK so that it can be easily accessed and information about these items can be known and can make it easier for employees there when the Ministry of Finance will audit the items related to assets at the BNNK office. Therefore, this study proposes a research related to asset management using a QR code for items at BNNK. The method used in making this QR code is using the QR generator method to simplify the process of making QR codes and making designs for QR codes that will made. For testing the QR code we use beta testing so that we can know in advance the performance and output generated by the QR code. This study produces a QR code that is in accordance with the request of related parties and makes it easier for employees in the goods section to find out data about assets owned by BNNK and help BNNK to carry out asset management on items in the office.

Quick Response Code (QR Code) has become an important entrance of O2O (Online to Offline) in the era of mobile internet. Many applications, such as transformation of URLs, the descriptions of these images, and so on can be realized through embedding QR Code into images. However, the embedding of QR Code may destroy some image details in the corresponding area, which is annoying, especially in these applications that need high precision. The reversible recovery of original image is of importance. A reversible visible watermarking scheme is proposed for embedding QR Code into images. One can decode the information that is encoded in the QR Code and reversibly recover the original image after the QR Code is scanned successfully. Optimization has been achieved both by utilizing the features of QR Code when encoding and decoding in the visible watermarking period and by utilizing the blocking, scanning, and preprocessing of information in the reversible data hiding period. Experimental results have demonstrated the validity and efficiency of the proposed scheme. Better image quality has been achieved by the proposed scheme compared with existing schemes.

Protecting and concealing sensitive data in the modern world is challenging. Due to insufficient protection and privacy, it is feasible for critical information to be fabricated. This led to a significant financial loss for someone. The intended recipient must be trusted with sensitive information and be able to independently authenticate the accuracy of the information by independently checking the specifics. There are several driving the rise in QR codes used for information transmission. Due to their enormous capacity for storing information, QR codes are vital for dissemination. However, most currently deployed QR code solutions employ insecure data formats and never employ encryption. Secure QR Code is data protection and data concealing available technology. The Quick Response (QR) code is widely used and accessible without extensive technical training. Now, the user data stored in a QR code is effectively public knowledge and occasionally even illegally used. To address the abovementioned issues, this study's authors propose a novel QR code encryption system. Using the image's mathematical processing method, we may apply the equivalence class principle to the ordered equations of the two-dimensional code, producing the desired cryptographic result. This method exploits the unique visual properties of the QR code. Only a QR code reader can decode the code's useful information, which is too complex for standard reading methods. It will be utilised to address issues in speedy business client data protection Security, commodity anticounterfeiting, and bicycle sharing QR codes.

Perancangan sistem presensi yang akan dibuat memanfaatkan teknologi Quick Respone Code yang selanjutnya disebut QR Code yang nantinya akan digunakan dalam proses presensi, QR Code merupakan teknologi yang dapat menyampaikan informasi secara cepat dan memperoleh respon secara cepat pula. Rekomendasi pembacaan QR Code oleh mahasiswa nantinya dapat menggunakan QR Code Reader. QR Code yang disarankan untuk digunakan sebagai alat untuk memunculkan kode QR Code yang nantinya akan dibaca oleh Quick Respon Code yang harus sudah terinstal di handphone mahasiswa adalah Generate QR Code. Perancangan proses presensi mahasiswa ini menghasilkan desain UML yang nantinya dapat dijadikan sebagai dasar pembangunan sistem meliputi desain use case, class diagram, squence diagram. Proses selanjutnya yaitu mengimplementasikan sistem presensi berbasis android dengan menggunakan teknologi QR Code.

This elevation can be seen in various aspects of diversification which majorly include raising number of Smart cities around us. A smart city explains itself as the one, which consists of complex infrastructures, that takes help of communication technologies to increase operational efficiency. Increasing complexity in the infrastructure of institutions, organizations and even malls, make user more reliant on the navigation services. But these navigational services that are in use today are constrained to open areas. So, this Campus Routing using QR code is proposed, to provide better indoor navigation. It describes development of a web-based application that is designed for providing both outdoor and indoor routing to meet the user’s requirement and the same is extended to implement in exam halls for providing route pictures to students of different rooms. There are various solutions exist in the market for indoor navigation using NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, but their reliability at every situation is not ideal. Unlike previously proposed solutions this paper chose a different implementation technique by developing a full stack web application that helps in both indoor and outdoor navigation i.e., it involves creating a client interface at frontend and a server at backend. Maps used here are predefined using Auto-Cad tool, stored in database and are retrieved upon user’s request. These route pictures (Maps) can be accessed by the user through the mobile phone using QR code.
