Abstract:

Ce memoire decrit une nouvelle synthese de systemes bicyclo(5. 1. 0) octeniques fonctionnalises au depart d'esters cycloheptadieniques eux-memes obtenus par cycloaddition (2+2) formelle de propiolate d'ethyle sur des enamines de cyclopentanone et d'indanone suivie d'une ouverture de cycle des cyclobutenes formes et d'une desamination reductive. Ces esters cycloheptadieniques reagissent avec divers diazoalcanes (2-diazo propane, diazomethane) pour conduire aux delta-1 pyrazolines correspondantes dont les traitements thermiques ou photochimiques fournissent les systemes bicyclo(5. 1. 0) octeniques attendus. L'elimination du groupe ester situe a la jonction de cycle de ces systemes bicycliques, critique a priori, a ete realisee avec succes, ce qui permet d'envisager l'application de cette nouvelle methode a la synthese de produits naturels. Par ailleurs, une nouvelle transposition cationique permettant de passer d'un systeme bicyclo(5. 1. 0) octenique a un systeme bicyclo(3. 2. 1) octenique a pu etre mise en evidence au cours de ce travail. L'action d'un exces de dioxyde de selenium sur un systeme benzobicyclo(5. 1. 0) octenique nous a egalement permis de decouvrir une nouvelle voie d'acces aux derives benzoheptafulveniques. Enfin, la thermolyse eclair des differents systeme bicyclo(5. 1. 0) octeniques nous a conduit a des migrations sigmatropiques homo(1,5) d'hydrogene plutot qu'au rearrangement des structures vinylcyclopropaniques en cyclopentenes

Abstract:

La décomposition thermique de l'exo-tricyclo [5. 2. 1. 0 2,6] décane, un alcane tricyclique qui rentre dans la composition de carburants utilisés en aéronautique, a été étudiée aux DCPR dans le cadre du développement du système de refroidissement du moteur de véhicules hypersoniques. L'étude expérimentale de la décomposition thermique de cet alcane a été réalisée avec un réacteur auto agité par jets gazeux, à pression atmosphérique, à haute dilution, pour des temps de passage compris entre 0,5 et 6s et sur une large gamme de température (673-1173 K). Cette étude a permis de mettre en évidence la formation de 53 produits de la réaction. Un mécanisme de la pyrolyse de l'exo-tricyclo [5. 2. 1. 0 2,6] décane a été développé (2789 réactions ; 929 espèces moléculaires, radicalaires et biradicalaires) et a été validé à partir des résultats expérimentaux. The experimental study of the thermal decomposition of this alkane was performed with a jet stirred reactor, at atmospheric pressure, at high dilution, at residence times between 0. 5 and 6s and for a wide range of temperatures (673-1173 K). Abstract:

Le travail de these s'articule autour de deux etudes : etude de la reaction de spallation p+au a 2. 5 gev et etude de la production neutronique en cibles epaisses. Ces deux etudes s'inscrivent dans un programme de recherche initie dans le cadre du projet de source europeenne de spallation (ess) et du projet francais de traitement des dechets radioactifs (gedeon). A l'aide d'un dispositif experimental tres complet alliant un detecteur de neutrons a des detecteurs de particules chargees, tous deux d'efficacite superieure a 80%, nous avons pu etudier l'evolution du processus elementaire de spallation en fonction de l'energie deposee par le proton incident dans le noyau (energie d'excitation). Nous avons ainsi montre le realisme d'une description du processus en deux etapes et valide l'utilisation du code de cascade intra-nucleaire de j. Cugnon (incl2. 0) couple a un code de desexcitation statistique (gemini). Les sections efficaces de production des particules chargees legeres ont ete mesurees et la contribution de l'emission de preequilibre evaluee. La formation des particules composites directes a ete ajoutee au code incl2. 0 a l'aide d'un modele de coalescence. La production neutronique (multiplicites moyennes et distributions) a ete etudiee en fonction de l'energie du faisceau, de la geometrie de la cible et de la nature de la cible. Nous avons montre que le gain en neutrons, lorsque l'epaisseur de cible augmente, est domine par la probabilite de reaction (pour des epaisseurs de cibles inferieures a 2 ou 3 longueurs d'interaction) et d'une facon moindre par le developpement des reactions secondaires. Ces deux parametres ont ete etudies separement. Les donnees experimentales ont ete comparees aux resultats du code de transport hermes, validant celui-ci pour l'emission de neutrons.

Abstract:

Les mécanismes de solidification dans les alliages Fe#7#5Al#2#5 et Fe#7#5#-#xAl#2#5B#x#(#0#,#0#5#-#1#) (pds%) élaborés par trempe de coulée plane sur roue sont analyses, nous dégageons l'influence des paramètres d'élaboration sur la microstructure finale des rubans (taille et forme des grains, structure dendritique, texture). Les structures de solidifications sont interprétées a l'aide d'un modèle thermique simulant le refroidissement et la solidification des alliages Fe#7#5Al#2#5 dans la flaque; entre autre, nous étudions avec précision les contributions du coefficient de transfert thermique sur la germination, la recalescence, et la déstabilisation du front de solidification. Par ailleurs, des mesures pyrométriques réalisées a la surface des rubans pendant la trempe ainsi qu'une étude de recuits a hautes températures, expliquent l'influence de l'atmosphère sur la microstructure finale des rubans, les rubans élaborés sous vide subissant une importante croissance des grains a l'état solide dans l'atmosphère de trempe des leur décollement de la roue. De façon générale, les rubans présentent une zone de grains equiaxes cote roue surmontée d'une couche de grains colonnaires débouchant cote libre. L'épaisseur de la zone équiaxe par rapport a celle de la zone colonnaire augmente avec l'épaisseur du ruban et diminue quand on rajoute du bore. Ces résultats sont discutes a l'aide du modèle théorique

Abstract:

Ce travail a pour objet l'etude experimentale des interactions proton-proton a 0. 8 et 2. 5 gev au moyen du detecteur diogene. Cette experience utilisant le faisceau de protons polarises de saturne, a ete realisee en 1986 par une collaboration clermont-saclay. Apres un premier chapitre exposant l'etat de la situation theorique, les deux chapitres suivants sont consacres essentiellement a la description du dispositif experimental et du programme d'analyse. L'accent est donne sur les modifications apportees par rapport a la conception originelle du detecteur diogene dediee a l'identification des fragments a multiplicite elevee dans les collisions d'ions lourds. De plus, la presence de nombreux evenements de diffusion elastique a permis le test et la calibration du detecteur, ce qui n'avait jamais pu etre realise auparavant. Apres corrections dues a des biais systematiques, il a ete mesure a des fins de calibration et en bon accord avec les mesures existantes, la section efficace differentielle de diffusion elastique ainsi que le pouvoir d'analyse a#y. Apres description de la methode employee pour separer les evenements provenant des differentes voies physiques, les deux derniers chapitres sont consacres a l'etude des reactions: pppnpi#+ et pppnpi#0 pour des protons d'energie incidente 800 mev. Les sections efficaces totales et differentielles ont ete mesurees ainsi que le pouvoir d'analyse. En ce qui concerne la premiere reaction, les resultats sont en bonne concordance avec les mesures existantes, alors que, pour la seconde, le manque de resultats ulterieurs ne permettent pas une comparaison directe

Abstract:

Après avoir rappelé le contexte théorique et observationnel de la cosmologie dans le modèle "standard", cette thèse présente comment, à partir de la comparaison des luminosités apparentes de supernovae de type la (SNIa) proches et lointaines, il est possible de préciser la géométrie de l'univers et de faire des mesures des principaux paramètres cosmologiques. Nous décrivons, ensuite, comment à partir d'observations à l'aide de l'imageur à large champ de vue CFH12K monté sur le CFHT (Canada France Hawaii Telescope, 3. 6m, Hawaii) et d'outil logiciel développé au sein de notre groupe, nous avons pu découvrir durant la campagne de recherche du Supernova Cosmology Project du printemps 2001 un lot de 4 SNIa lointaines. Une recherche similaire effectuée auprès du CTIO (Cerro Tololo Interamerican Telescope, 4m, Chili) par nos collaborateurs a permis la découverte d'une dizaine de supernovae supplémentaires. Nous présentons dans cette thèse l'analyse des 6 supernovae les plus lointaines (avec des décalages vers le rouge compris entre 0. 5 et 1. 2) qui ont été suivies par l'instrument WFPC2 du télescope spatial Hubble. A partir de ces observations, nous avons construit leur courbe de lumière en utilisant des outils de photométrie différentielle spécifique à l'instrument WFPC2 développés lors de ce travail. La simulation du flux de ces supernovae dans les instruments d'observation a permis de construire des modèles de courbe de lumière et ainsi d'ajustement leurs caractéristiques: luminosité apparente au maximum et taux de décroissance. Enfin, la comparaison de ce lot à un lot d'une centaine de SNIa proches issues de la littérature, nous a permis de faire une mesure des paramètres cosmologiques. Nous trouvons en considérant un univers plat des valeurs respectives pour la densité réduite de matière de 0. 35 (0. 15 stat) et 0. 22 (0. 25 stat) pour les supernovae avec un décalage vers le rouge autour de 0. 5 et autour de 1<br>After an introduction of the general context of the "standard" cosmological model, this thesis presents, how, using comparison of the apparent luminosity of nearby and distant type Ia supernovae (SNIa), it is possible to specify the geometry of the universe and perform a measurement of the principal cosmological parameters. We describe, next, how, from observations using the imageur to wide view field CFH12K mounted on the CFHT (Canada France Hawaii Telescope, 3. 6m, Hawaii) and softwares developed within our group, we were able to discover during the research of the spring 2001 within the Supernova Cosmology Project a batch of 4 distant SNIa. A similar research carried out with the CTIO (Cerro Tololo Interamerican Telescope, 4M, Chile) by our collaborators allowed the discovery of about tell additional supernovae. We present in this thesis the analyze of the 6 farthest supernovae (with redshift between 0. 5 and 1. 2) that were followed by the instrument WFPC2 of the Hubble Space Telescope. From these observations, we constructed their lightcurves using photometric differential analysis specific to the instrument WFPC2 developed during this work. The simulation of the flux of those supernovae within the observationnal instruments enabled us to construct lightcurve models and then the fit of their characteristics : apparent luminosity at the time of maximum and decline rate. Finally, using the comparison of this batch to a batch of about one hundred nearby SNIa coming from the literature, we performed a measure of the parameters cosmologiques. We find considering a flat universe a reduced density of matter of 0. 35 (0. 15 stat) and 0. 22 (0. 25 stat) respectively for the supernovae with a redshift around 0. 5 and around 1

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá návrhem 12 bitového řetězového A/D převodníku. Součástí návrhu bylo vytvořit referenční model převodníku v prostředí Matlab a determinovat faktory, které negativně ovlivňují výsledek konverze. S využitím nabytých poznatků navrhnout řetězový převodník na transistorové úrovni v prostředí Cadence. V teoretické části jsou shrnuty základy A/D převodu a dále jsou představeny nejčastěji používané architektury A/D převodníků. V dalších částech je popsán a diskutován vliv neidealit na vlastnosti řetězových převodníků. Praktická část se již věnuje popisu základních charakteristik řetězových převodníků a dokazuje funkci modelu. Z výsledků modelové struktury byly stanoveny reálné parametry, které byly dále využity v procesu tvorby návrhu v CMOS technologii TSMC 0,18m s nízkým napájecím napětím.

Abstract:

The digital Bleek and Lloyd Collection is a rare collection that contains artwork, notebooks and dictionaries of the earliest habitants of Southern Africa. Previous attempts have been made to recognize the complex text in the notebooks using machine learning techniques, but due to the complexity of the manuscripts the recognition accuracy was low. In this research, a crowdsourcing based method is proposed to transcribe the historical handwritten manuscripts, where volunteers transcribe the notebooks online. An online crowdsourcing transcription tool was developed and deployed. Experiments were conducted to determine the quality of transcriptions and accuracy of the volunteers compared with a gold standard. The results show that volunteers are able to produce reliable transcriptions of high quality. The inter-transcriber agreement is 80% for |Xam text and 95% for English text. When the |Xam text transcriptions produced by the volunteers are compared with the gold standard, the volunteers achieve an average accuracy of 69.69%. Findings show that there exists a positive linear correlation between the inter-transcriber agreement and the accuracy of transcriptions. The user survey revealed that volunteers found the transcription process enjoyable, though it was difficult. Results indicate that volunteer thinking can be used to crowdsource intellectually-intensive tasks in digital libraries like transcription of handwritten manuscripts. Volunteer thinking outperforms machine learning techniques at the task of transcribing notebooks from the Bleek and Lloyd Collection.

Abstract:

La maitrise des propriétés physiques, en particulier magnétiques, des oxydes de structure spinelle, implique la connaissance et le contrôle de la taille et de la morphologie des grains, ainsi que de la distribution des cations sur les deux types de sites de la structure, les sites octaédriques B et tétraédriques A. Pour optimiser le champ coercitif dans ce type de composes, il est nécessaire que les grains présentent des tailles nanométriques (de l'ordre de 50 nm), mais également que la phase spinelle contienne un fort taux de lacunes, ce qui ne peut être obtenu qu'en oxydant les différents cations au sein même de la structure, sans induire de transformation cristallographique. C'est la raison pour laquelle les spinelles étudiés dans ce travail contiennent, en plus des cations du fer, des ions du molybdène et du vanadium. En effet, le molybdène peut se trouver aux valences 3 et 4 et le vanadium a la valence 3. Ils s'oxydent respectivement en Mo#6#+ et V#5#+. Dans le ferrite de molybdène Fe#2#,#4#7Mo#0#,#5#3o#4, la distribution cationique peut évoluer lors des traitements thermiques, si ceux-ci sont effectués a des températures supérieures a 300°C. Par thermogravimétrie différentielle, une réaction de transfert de charges a été mise en évidence, impliquant les cations du fer aussi bien que ceux du molybdène : Mo#3#+#B + Fe#3#+#B Mo#4#+#B + Fe#2#+#B les spinelles de fer-vanadium Fe#3#-#xV#xO#4 nanométriques ont été élaborés par chimie douce pour les compositions en vanadium x comprises entre 0 et 2 et des synthèses par cobroyage d'oxydes ont été réalisées sur le ferrite de vanadium Fe#2VO#4. Un dispositif de régulation de la pression partielle d'oxygène, couplé à une thermobalance symétrique, a été conçu pour mesurer les écarts par rapport à la stœchiométrie en oxygène. Le suivi de l'oxydation en phase lacunaire des spinelles synthétisés par chimie douce a permis d'isoler des réactions correspondant aux oxydations successives des cations Fe#2#+#B, V#3#+#B et Fe#2#+#A. L'oxydation des ions V#3#+#B présente un caractère particulier lie à l'apparition de valences comprises entre 3 et 5 avant l'oxydation totale en V#5#+. Les spinelles obtenus à partir de cobroyages d'oxydes présentent deux populations de grains, de tailles et de compositions en vanadium différentes. Cette inhomogénéité a été attribuée à la différence de taille des deux oxydes de départ puisque des tailles similaires conduisent à une poudre beaucoup plus homogène, dont les caractéristiques semblent proches des poudres de chimie douce. Pour les deux types de synthèse, les variations du champ coercitif avec l'oxydation ont été corrélées a la présence de contraintes et au phénomène d'ordre directionnel qui s'établit grâce à l'apparition de lacunes.

São rotas procuradas por economias como a Austrália, os EUA, a China e o Brasil, particularmente as que usam a energia solar em regime de termossifão e híbridas. A presente pesquisa voltou-se à revisão da literatura relativa aos experimentos de eficiência hídrica e energética de seis sistemas de aquecimento de água, com estimações para conjuntos verticais na zona intertropical. A literatura é voltada, fundamentalmente, às viabilidades térmica, econômica e de materiais dos sistemas, mas incipiente quanto às ecoeficiências. A revisão objetivou identificar as principais tendências e envolveu 107 artigos, livros e capítulos de livros, 28 dissertações, 06 teses, 04 normas e um relatório federal, pelo Portal de Periódicos da Capes, desde 2000. Cinco tendências foram identificadas: 1) comercial, voltada à construção civil, hotéis e resorts; 2) residencial, voltada a sistemas prediais; 3) social, voltada a condomínios de interesse social, vilarejos populares e rurais; 4) econômica, centrada nas restrições orçamentárias; 5) computacional, voltada a otimização, softwares, controle e incertezas. Foi desenvolvida metodologia de cálculo dos custos contábeis e de oportunidade dos sistemas, eficiências hídrica e energética, quando inseridos no macrossistema ecológico, considerando as emissões de CO2 equivalente face à configuração da matriz energética local, em quatro cenários: com e sem desperdício hídrico, com e sem efeito estufa. Um Índice de Economicidade-Ecoeficiência (EEI) foi criado para hierarquizar os sistemas. Em ordem decrescente, em cenário sem desperdícios hídricos e considerando o efeito estufa, na Bahia: 1º) Sistemas de Aquecimento Solares (SAS) de baixo custo com placa de Policloreto de Vinilo e de Polipropileno, EEI  50%, distinguindo-se o de PVC por ter uma maior eficiência energética e provocar menor efeito estufa; 2º) SAS Convencionais, EEI  36%; 3º) Bomba de Calor, EEI  24%; 4º) Bomba de Calor flex, EEI  15%. Ampliando o alcance das inferências, as variáveis de entrada receberam tratamentos probabilísticos e avaliação de incertezas, propagadas aos custos totais acumulados, unitários e EEI. Pelo princípio da entropia máxima, distribuições distintas dos inputs geraram outputs estocásticos com 1e+6 Simulaçoes de Monte Carlo (SMC), com recurso à programação em R e com o software Oracle® Crystal Ball, cujas médias e medianas mostraram-se iguais ou menores que os resultados determinísticos, dada a probabilidade de serem menores ou iguais o número de pessoas, banhos/dia, comprimento da tubulação. A hierarquia foi a mesma. O ChE obteve EEI nulo, tendo a menor eficiência energética. A aquisição e a manutenção do ChE são baratas, mas ele opera de forma mais custosa pelo uso da eletricidade e, por isto mesmo, é mais deletério ambientalmente. Os SAS mostraram-se mais adequados no Nordeste do Brasil, com baixo consumo de energia auxiliar, minimizando emissões de CO2 a montante. O potencial ecológico e macroeconômico dos SAS de baixo custo é singular em toda região intertropical. A bomba de calor é eficaz e requer escala para ser acessível.<br>The water heating technologies capable of replacing the electric shower (ChE), with gains of physical and economic efficiency, are solutions recommended by organisms worldwide. These are routes sought by economies such as Australia, the US, China and Brazil, particularly those using thermosyphon and hybrid solar power. The present research turned to the review of the literature on the experiments of water and energy efficiency of six water heating systems, with estimates for vertical sets in the intertropical zone. The literature is focused, fundamentally, on the thermal, economic and material viability of the systems, but incipient regarding ecoefficiencies. The review aimed to identify the main trends and involved 107 articles, books and book chapters, 28 dissertations, 06 theses, 04 standards and a federal report, from the Portal of Journals of Capes since 2000. Five trends were identified: 1) commercial, focused on construction, hotels and resorts; 2) residential, oriented to building systems; 3) social, aimed at condominiums of social interest, popular and rural villages; 4) economic, centered on budgetary constraints; 5) computational, focused on optimization, software, control and uncertainties. A methodology was developed to calculate the accounting and opportunity costs of the systems, water and energy efficiencies, when inserted in the ecological macrosystem, considering CO2 emissions equivalent to the local energy matrix configuration, in four scenarios: with and without water waste, with and without greenhouse effect. An Economics-Eco-Efficiency Index (EIS) was created to hierarchize systems. In descending order, in a scenario without water waste and considering the greenhouse effect, in Bahia: 1º) Low-cost solar heating systems (SAS) with polyvinyl chloride and polypropylene board, EEI  50%, distinguishing itself from PVC for having a greater energy efficiency and to cause less greenhouse effect; 2nd) Conventional SAS, EEI  36%; 3º) Heat Pump, EEI  24%; 4) Flex Heat Pump, EEI  15%. Extending the scope of the inferences, the input variables received probabilistic treatments and uncertainty evaluation, propagated to the total accumulated costs, unit and IEE. By the principle of maximum entropy, different distributions of the inputs generated stochastic outputs with 1e + 6 Monte Carlo Simulations (SMC), using R programming and Oracle® Crystal Ball software, whose averages and medians were equal or smaller that the deterministic results or equal, given the probability of being smaller the number of people, baths / day, pipe length. The hierarchy has not changed. ChE obtained zero EEI, having the lowest energy efficiency. Acquisition and maintenance of ChE are cheap, but it operates more cost-effectively through the use of electricity and, for this reason, is more deleterious in the environment. The SAS were more adequate in the Northeast of Brazil, with low auxiliary energy consumption, minimizing upstream CO2 emissions. The ecological and macroeconomic potential of low-cost SAS is unique in every intertropical region. The heat pump is effective and requires scale to be accessible.
