This paper consists of two studies: the results of a search for heavy Majorana neutrinos (N) using an event signature dened by two like-sign charged muons and two jets, and the results from studies of a prototype quartz plate calorimeter. The data in the Majorana search correspond to an integrated luminosity of 5.0 inverse fb of pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV collected with the CMS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. หินแกรนิตบริเวณจังหวัดชลบุรีและระยองแทรกดันตัวขึ้นมาใหม่ในช่วงเวลาประมาณ 207-221 ล้านปีที่แล้ว หรือปลายยุคไทรแอสซิก (Late Triassic) จัดอยู่ในแนวหินแกรนิตตอนกลางของประเทศไทย จากการศึกษาพบว่าสามารถแบ่งออกเป็น 7 กลุ่มตามลักษณะทางศิลาวรรณนาประกอบด้วย 1) หินไบโอไทต์-มัสโคไวท์แกรนิตเนื้อละเอียด 2) หินไบโอไทต์-มัสโคไวท์แกรนิต 3) หินมัสโคไวท์แกรนิต 4) หินฮอร์นเบลนด์-ไบโอไทต์แกรนิต 5) หินไบโอไทต์-มัสโคไวท์แกรนิตเนื้อดอก 6) หินไบโอไทต์แกรนิต และ 7) หินทัวร์มาลีนแกรนิต ผลวิเคราะห์ธรณีเคมีของหินทั้งก้อนพบว่าส่วนใหญ่มีปริมาณซิลิกาสูงกว่า 70% และเปลี่ยนแปลง อยู่ในช่วงแคบๆ ประมาณ 70-72% ปริมาณอะลูมินาส่วนใหญ

The Phu Lon prospect is a Cu-Fe-Au-Ag skarn deposit of porphyry-related type.
