Kim Posster widmet sich in seinem Beitrag »Männlichkeit ist die Krise?! – Zu Geschichte und Verhältnis von latenter und manifester Krise des bürgerlichen Subjekts und seiner gesellschaftlichen (Geschlechts-)Natur« Aspekten der Geschichte der ›Männlichkeit‹. Im Fokus steht dabei die im warenproduzierenden Patriarchat stets von Neuem notwendig herzustellende ›Männlichkeit‹, ohne dass diese je aus sich selbst heraus ›Stabilität‹ erreichen könnte: ›Wahre Männlichkeit‹ kann nicht einfach sein. Sie gibt es entweder ›noch nicht wirklich‹ oder ›fast schon nicht mehr‹. Immer in Gefahr, nur ein Verblassen der Vergangenheit zu sein. Niemals fähig, das Entschwinden in die Zukunft zu verhindern. Dass Männlichkeit in der Krise sei, ist deshalb eine Diagnose, die jederzeit zuzutreffen scheint und normalerweise als Argument für eine patriarchale Resouveränisierung in Stellung gebracht wird. Kritischere Geister halten dem entgegen: ›Männlichkeit ist die Krise!‹ und verweisen auf die grundlegend prekäre Konstitution von Männlichkeit und die ihr zu Grunde liegende Angst vor Schwäche und Zerfall. So richtig es aber ist, die Apologie der mythisch-ewigen Geschlechtsnatur, die alles ändern will, damit es endlich wieder so wird, wie es schon immer war, zurückzuweisen, so falsch ist es, die in ihr aufgehobene Geschichte zu ignorieren. Statt also die ewige Gegenwart des Geschlechts nur dekonstruktivistisch aufzudröseln und in bunter ›Vielfalt‹ zu variieren, wie es auch der Queerfeminismus tut, gilt es den geschlechtlichen Wiederholungszwang der bürgerlichen Gesellschaft materialistisch durch die historischen Umwälzungen hindurch zu verfolgen. Denn nur eine Historie der mythischen Ewigkeit des Geschlechts, also eine Betrachtung der inneren Geschichte der gesellschaftlichen (Geschlechts-)Natur, vermag es, das Verhältnis von latenter und manifester Krise des Geschlechts im Allgemeinen und der Männlichkeit im Besonderen aufzuklären. Männlichkeit kann dabei als ›naturwüchsige‹ Kategorie des Wertverhältnisses und seiner geschlechtlichen Abspaltung entwickelt werden, die in der historischen Entfaltung des prozessierenden Widerspruchs, d. h. des Kapitals, stets sowohl verfällt als auch auf der jeweiligen historischen Stufe erneuert werden muss. Wie dieser Verfall aktuell von Männern verhandelt wird und auf welch barbarische Art vor allem völkische und islamistische Ideologien eine Erneuerung anstreben, verrät dabei, wie sich die Krise heute, nach dem ›Ende der Geschichte‹, manifestiert und welche vor allem regressiven Potentiale sie freisetzt.

<p>Este texto contribui para uma análise crítica das questões políticas e de cidadania da figura da “Criança” e, de modo mais geral, da juventude, fazendo uma resenha da forma como a Criança tem sido construída enquanto um corpo ‘natural’, branco, heterossexual, patriarcal e classista. Esta resenha é feita a partir de várixs autorxs <em>queer</em> e feministas, e a sua leitura conjunta mostra como o conceito tem sido historicamente usado para sustentar o heteropatriarcado branco de classe alta, e como esta ordem discursiva continua a ser reintegrada pelo feminismo liberal e pelo movimento LGBT <em>mainstream</em>. O artigo encerra com um ponto de resistência: a partir da crítica de Edelman e das releituras que Stockton faz a várias obras famosas, considera-se como a Criança pode ser lida enquanto transviada, e como esse processo é fundamental para a dissolução de sistemas discriminatórios de cidadania que naturalizam relações de dominação e objectificação política contra certos corpos, considerados dissidentes, cujo crescimento não é visto como ‘ortopedicamente’ correcto.</p>

So heftig und kontrovers wie der von Patsy L’Amour LaLove, einer an der HU Berlin promovierten Geschlechterforscherin, herausgegebene Essayband (Beißreflexe, 2017) wurde seit langer Zeit kein (wissenschaftliches) Buch mehr diskutiert. Es drängt sich der Eindruck auf, dass die sich selbst als aktivistische »Polittunte « verstehende Herausgeberin offensichtlich den Zeitgeist eines mit sich selbst strauchelnden Queerfeminismus getroffen habe: Solch eine Vielzahl an mehr als nur leidenschaftlichen Reaktionen allerlei Couleur konnte eine in erster Linie akademische Anthologie mit Texten zur aktuellen Verfassung der LGBTIQ*-Kultur und -Szene sowie zum Stand der akademisch geführten und im Zweifelsfall auch gelebten Queer Studies seit geraumer Zeit nicht verzeichnen – was sich unter anderem in der mittlerweile nun vierten Auflage des Titels innerhalb eines Jahres seit Veröffentlichung niederschlägt. Im Zuge der Debatte, welche in den letzten Wochen und Monaten in verschiedensten Medien (Zeit, Tagesspiegel, NZZ, FAZ, Süddeutsche) um die Publikation entbrannte, haben sich sowohl die darin versammelten AutorInnen als auch Judith Butler, Sabine Hark, Paula-Irene Billa, Alice Schwarzer und andere zu Wort gemeldet. Der selbst als Autor in besagtem Band vertretene freie Journalist und Redakteur Dirk Ludigs beanstandet seinerseits, dass die queeren akademischen Diskurse unserer Tage einem toten Rennen gleichen. Der Stellungskrieg der Kulturtheorien verändere nicht nur nichts mehr in den Köpfen aller Teilnehmenden, seine Debatten gehen zudem noch praktisch spurlos an all jenen vorbei, zu deren Verbesserung der Verhältnisse sie angeblich geführt werden würden. Es sei, so die Position des selber seit den 80er Jahren in der queeraktivistischen Szene Berlins sozialisierten Autors, an der Zeit, die (zu) weitgehende Akademisierung queeren Denkens und Handelns kritisch zu hinterfragen und nach fruchtbaren Quellen für einen anderen queeren Aktivismus zu suchen. Eine entgegengesetzte Position vertritt Andrea Geier. Auch sie räumt ein, dass die Identitätspolitik in eine Krise geraten sei –der Vorwurf, dass mehr um die Anerkennung von Identitäten statt für deren Überwindung gekämpft werde, würde darüber hinaus von Neudeutungen postmoderner Theorien begleiten werden sowie von der Frage, ob sich aus akademischen Theoriediskursen überhaupt noch emanzipatorisches Potential gewinnen ließe. Ihr Beitrag erörtert aus akademisch geschulter und kritischer Perspektive diese Entwicklungen und plädiert mit Nachdruck für eine Debattenkultur, welche sich mit intersektional geschärftem Blick notwendig komplexen Aushandlungsprozessen der uns heute in all ihren komplexen Facetten und Problematiken begegnenden Identitätskultur und -politik auseinandersetzt. It has been a long time since a (scientific) anthology has been discussed so intensely and controversially as it has been the case with the volume of Patsy L’Amour LaLove (Beißreflexe, 2017), who achieved her PhD in Gender studies at the HU Berlin. It is not easy to shake off the impression that the editor, who thinks of herself as an activist »Polittunte« (political pansy) has captured the Zeitgeist of a queer-feminism that is at war with itself: a fact which is reflected in the multitude of rather passionate responses from all kinds of social backgrounds; no other first and foremost academic anthology composed of texts concerning the current constitution of the LGBTIQ*-culture and –scene as well as discussing the current status of academically argued and sometimes lived queer-studies has been able to garner so much attention. The huge success of this work is also reflected in this being the fourth edition within one year since its original publication. Referring to the debate kindled by the anthology which has been present in different newspapers over the past weeks and months (Zeit, Tagesspiegel, NZZ, FAZ, Süddeutsche), some of the authors have made a public statement as well as other public figures such as Judith Butler, Sabine Hark, Paula-Irene Billa and Alice Schwarzer. Free journalist and editor, Dirk Ludigs, who is an author of one of the articles from the anthology has since stated that today’s academic discussion concerning queer subjects resembles a dead heat. The practice of positional warfare in culture theories not only fails to evoke a change in the minds of its participants but rather passes by the very people whose circumstances it originally helped to alleviate. Being an author of the Berlin queer-activist scene since the 1980s he states that it is time to challenge the (too) extensive academisation of queer thinking and action and to be on the outlook for other sources of queer activism. Andrea Geier supports a contradicting position; she, too, acknowledges the crisis of identity politics – the accusation that the fight is mainly about recognition of identity and less about the triumph over it is backed up by new interpretations of postmodern theories as well as the question of whether it is possible to gain emancipatory potential out of academic theory-driven discussions. Her article discussed these developments from an academically educated and critical perspective and expressively supports the call for a culture of debate that, with a keen eye for intersectional themes, discusses the necessarily complex negotiation processes of identity culture and politics in all their facets and inherent problems

Mitt examensarbete handlar om hur förskolebarns samtal med varandra rekonstruerar, samt ger uttryck för genus. Jag utgår från ett socialkonstruktivistiskt, poststrukturalistiskt och i synnerhet ett queerfeministiskt perspektiv. För att möjliggöra detta arbete har jag använt mig av ljudinspelningar och observation som metod, som fångat upp förskolebarns samtal med varandra.

In this essay, I make a queer feminist analysis of Mats Strandberg’s and Sara Bergmark Elfgren’s teenage novel ”Cirkeln”, which is about six teenage girls who learn that they are witches with a mission to save the world from demons. Using Judith Butler's theories, I examine the norms of sex/gender, ethnicity, class and sexuality found in the text and how these standards are created. I also analyze whether, and if so how, these standards may change when the magical elements enter the text. I also discuss the fact that older Gothic novels with magical elements often have been regarded as queer through history.

In this essay, I make a queer feminist analysis of four novels written by the Swedish author Sigge Stark. The novels are: Uggleboet, Manhatareklubben, Cirkus Demonio och Baskerflickan. Using Judith Butler's theories I examine the relations between sex/gender and sexuality in the four books and show how the construction of gender is performed and the heterosexual normativity is jeopardized. I also examine whether, and if so how, Sigge Stark uses the romantic and the gothic genres to include transcending gender identities and sexualities in her work. The essay also includes a contextualisation of her prerequisities as an author and the necessity in performing a critical analysis of mass produced romantic literature.

The cis norm could be described as the norm that forces everyone to be either female or male and that genitals, gender identity and juridical sex should be constant throughout a person’s lifetime. “Cis” means “on the same side” in Latin, and in this study Wendel Strömbeck, student at the Pedagogy Institution of Konstfack, University College of Arts, Crafts and Design, has coined the notion “the cis gaze”. “The cis gaze” refer to a performative act of sorting bodies into a female or male category. Wendel study how people with trans* experiences could experience gazes and pictures in relation to the cis norm. The study is based on the queer community that Wendel is a part of, and includes interviews and self-reflections. “Trans” means “to move over” in Latin and “trans*” refers to the whole spectra of possible ways of transgressing the cis norm. The study is devided into two parallel works, an essay and an artistic figuration, a comic book. The comic book includes rendering of the interviews that Wendel has carried out and an irreverent study of cis gendered persons. The essay also includes rendering of the same interviews and an analysis of a poster for the Hollywood movie Glen or Glenda from 1953

The purpose of this thesis is to, based on interviews and document studies, critically discuss how the introduction of kickboxing in Physical Education (PE) could affect gender equality in society. Based on a queer feminist and norm critical perspective on the prevailing teaching of PE, which, despite official efforts to challenge and modernize PE, persists in reproducing gender norms by e.g. spending 75% of class time on ball games. The hypothesis is that girls accessing violence (empowerment) through a bodily awareness in the form of kickboxing, positively would challenge the power imbalance that gender norms create. Girls are brought up, even today, in accordance with gender norms arguing against girls/women wanting to use their bodies as powerful tools to set limits. In accordance with the traditional Ling gymnastics, in which body and mind develops into a harmonious whole, the introduction of kickboxing in PE would have a major impact on how girls and boys could relate to each other in the community as well as develop the mind and body in harmony. It can be hypothesized that by including kickboxing in PE girls' bodies would be given the opportunity to be powerful, thus enable girls as well as boys to identify themselves as transcendent individuals rather than to experience the powerlessness and mental illness which often develops already during puberty.
Uppsatsens syfte är att med utgångspunkt i samtalsintervjuer och dokumentstudier kritiskt diskutera hur införandet av kickboxning i skolämnet Idrott och hälsa skulle kunna påverka jämställdheten i samhället. Diskussionen förs utifrån ett queerfeministiskt och normkritiskt perspektiv på rådande undervisning i Idrott och hälsa, som trots Skolverkets delvis normutmanande styrdokument framhärdar i att reproducera genusnormer genom att ägna 75% av lektionstiden till bollspel. Hypotesen är att flickors tillång till våld (empowerment) genom ett kroppsligt görande i form av kickboxning, på ett positivt sätt skulle förändra den maktobalans som genusnormer skapar. Flickor uppfostras ännu idag i enlighet med normer som hävdar att flickor/kvinnor inte vill, kan eller bör ha möjlighet att använda sin kropp som ett kraftfullt redskap för att sätta gränser. I enlighet med den traditionella Linggymnastikens grunder, bör kropp och själ utvecklas till en harmonisk enhet. Införandet av kickboxning i Idrott och hälsaundervisningen skulle vara en normkritisk pedagogik med stor inverkan på hur flickor och pojkar skulle förhålla sig till varandra i samhället och utveckla kropp och själ i harmoni. Genom att även flickors kroppar ges möjlighet att vara kraftfulla kan det hypotetiseras att flickor skulle kunna se sig själva som transcenderande subjekt istället för att uppleva den maktlöshet och psykiska ohälsa som ofta befästs under puberteten.
