This chapter examines factors impacting L2 WTC among Chinese ELLs studying in an EAP program in Australia. Adopting both quantitative and qualitative methods, three questionnaires were used to measure L2 WTC, English learning motivation, and self-rated English proficiency; and semi-structured interviews were used to triangulate and complement questionnaire data. The main results were (1) L2 WTC with friends was higher than L2 WTC with acquaintance and with strangers and (2) L2 WTC with strangers and acquaintances were positively related to integrativeness and attitude toward the learning situation, but not with motivation intensity. L2 WTC with friends did not correlate with any of the scales in the English learning motivation; thus, (3) L2 WTC with strangers and acquaintances but not with friends had positive association with self-rated English proficiency, and (4) factors such as teaching methods, teachers' attitude, learning style, and personality all impacted on L2 WTC. Abstract:
This paper examines various aspects of distance learning (DL) for medical students in the spring semester of 2020. Provides general data on the peculiarities of the educational process of medical students, as well as on the experience of introducing an electronic educational environment – «moodle» into it. This environment is constantly being improved and modified. Over the years of use, it has become a kind of assistant for university teachers, complementing the educational process: allowing students to gain knowledge of the subject, remotely monitor the material they have passed, make an appointment for a consultation with a teacher, etc. A real «test» for «moodle» was the transition of students to preschool education, due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation caused by the new coronavirus infection. The aim of the work was an attempt to study some aspects of DL in this new and difficult period for the university. The objects of research were 200 students of VSMU named after N.N. Burdenko: 100 students of the 2nd year of dental and 100 students of the 3rd year of medical faculties, who were divided into 2 subgroups, depending on gender. The study was based on a questionnaire survey of students on a number of aspects of DL. The online activity of students was studied, followed by an assessment of their progress; determined the very attitude of respondents to the moodle system and DL in general; identified the main negative points (according to students) associated with this form of education. Most of the respondents were, on the whole, satisfied with the educational process at the university and the introduction of the electronic educational environment into the complex learning process. However, many recognized the «moodle» as somewhat «not ready» for the full transition to DL. Also, the most frequent reasons for «absence» of classes by students were identified and the most significant negative aspects of DL were identified. Based on the results, the educational process at a number of departments of the university was corrected in a timely manner. The data obtained are of interest to employees of various departments of medical universities.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the socio-psychological features of the formation of deviant behavior in adolescents with learning difficulties. The subject of research – socio-psychological features of the formation of deviant behavior in adolescents with learning difficulties. The purpose of the study is to empirically study the socio-psychological features of the formation of deviant behavior in adolescents with learning difficulties. Objectives of the study: to analyze the socio-psychological features of the formation of deviant behavior in adolescents with learning difficulties and using psychodiagnostic techniques to determine which socio-psychological features provoke the formation of deviant behavior in adolescents with learning difficulties. Particular attention is paid to the socio-psychological features of the formation of deviant behavior in adolescents with learning difficulties. It is pointed out that in order to clarify the essence of deviant behavior, it is necessary to identify not only its external manifestations, but also the internal properties, without which it cannot exist. Any deviations (deviations) in human behavior are the result of inconsistency of his desires, aspirations, and claims with the social norms of the environment in which he operates: he lives, is brought up, studies and works. When a person does not agree or does not accept the demands of society, he challenges him in the form of any behavioral disorders, the content of which, of course, is determined by his physiological, psychological and social qualities. It can be noted that deviations in the adolescent environment (aggression, drug addiction, drunkenness, etc.) in their purpose, consequences differ significantly, say, from deviations among adults (criminal and economic crimes). Deviant behavior is defined as a personal challenge of a person, in particular, a teenager, to the social environment, which is caused by inconsistency between his personal demands and social requirements (norms, standards, rules, regulations) and is manifested by such social and behavioral actions and actions that are not approved (condemned)) close environment or society. The article describes the course and procedure of research organization. The results of research on each technique concerning definition of level of accentuation of character (Shmishek’s questionnaire), aggressiveness (Freiburg’s questionnaire), ways of mastering with difficult life situations are described (adaptation of the technique WCQ), level of hopelessness (Нореlеssnеss Sсаlе, Веck еt аl.). The conclusions indicate the socio-psychological features of the formation of deviant behavior in adolescents with learning difficulties. It is emphasized that unfavorable living and upbringing conditions in the family, problems of acquiring knowledge and related learning failures, inability to build relationships with others and conflicts arising on this basis, can lead to deviant behavior in adolescents. With the help of such psychodiagnostic techniques as character accentuations, aggression questionnaire, questionnaire of ways to master difficult life situations, the scale of hopelessness, it is determined which psychological features provoke the formation of deviant behavior in adolescents with learning difficulties. These are the presence of certain accentuations of character, the level of aggression above average and the methods that the teenager uses to master a difficult life situation. The conclusions reveal the prospects for further development.

Abstract:
This article focuses on the implementation of interactive technologies, namely “Debate”, into the modern educational process. It is one of the actual themes and important necessities of the present situation. It determines the proposed study relevance because it is important to teach students to have an active life position, to be able to argue, to defend their point of view. The main objective of the study is to summarize and generalize the practical experience of application debate technologies in Ukrainian and German educational practice, based on the results of participation in the German-Ukrainian Project “Youth Debates” and how to use debates at school while teaching different subjects. To achieve the objective some problems have been solved such as: to reveal peculiarities of teaching debate technologies in the context of modern Ukrainian postgraduate pedagogical education; to determine the steps of actions while introducing debatable technologies at school; to consider aspects of the practical implementation of debate technologies in the educational process on the example of the educational institution "Gymnasium with secondary school of the first degree" Kostiantynivka city, Donetsk region, Ukraine: to regard the experience in organizing online debates using remote technologies in Ukraine. While writing this article the following research methods have been used: 1) theoretical: system analysis, abstraction, generalization, comparison, systematization and classification of the received information and its interpretation; 2) empirical: method of survey and questionnaire, method of comparative analysis of the obtained results, expert evaluation. Several stages of preparation to debates have been taken into account. The conclusions show that debate is an innovative pedagogical technology aimed to develop a many-sided personality and creates conditions for the high school students’ active civic position formation in a holistic pedagogical process, ensuring the dialogic nature of learning. Students can acquire both educational and cognitive abilities not only in the scientific sphere, but also obtain socially useful experience. Debates, as pedagogical technology, can be characterized not only by criteria of manageability and reproducibility, but also by guaranteed efficiency. All of this allows us to solve the main task of the education system for a civil and democratic society - to foster erudite citizens. Only students with high culture and flexible thinking, purposeful, self-confident, free from stereotypes will be able to get integrated into European civil and cultural space.
