Abstract:
The dyeing properties of different fabric species were investigated using root extract of Curcuma Longa rhizome. For this purpose, the cotton and wool fabrics were dyed using the root extract of Curcuma Longa by pre-mordanting, together- mordanting and last- mordanting methods with copper sulfate (CuSO4), ferrous sulfate (FeSO4) and aluminum potassium sulfate (AIK(SO4)2 at medium pH. The color codes were determined with Pantone Color Quide, and K/S and L* a* b* values were detected with color measurement spectrophotometer, and also washing-, crocking- fastness levels were evaluated using gray scale.

Abstract:
An adequate semen volume of ejaculate fluid is required to transportsperm into the female reproductive tract and allow for fertilizationof the oocyte. Thus, seminal fluid volume is an importantpart of the semen analysis done to investigate male infertility. Inthis article, we review the anatomy and physiology of ejaculation, the various etiologies of low-volume ejaculation (artifactual, structural, functional). We then present a comprehensive algorithmfor the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of the infertileman presenting with low semen volume.

Abstract:
The quality of herbs used to make herbal medicinal products largely influences the safety and effectiveness of these herbal treatments. It is therefore important to investigate the extent to which manufacturers are ensuring the quality supply of herbal medicine used in production of herbal medicine. This study examines how small and medium scale manufacturers assure the quality and continual improvement of the raw materials (raw materials) used for production of medicinal products in a developing economy, the state of Ghana, and the methods used by the company. The study adopted exploratory research design. Using interview quide with open ended questions, data was collected from 88 respondents (small and medium scale manufacturers and their representatives). The data was analysed using NVivo 11. Findings of the study indicated that herbs were collected from the wild (forest), physical inspection of the herbs and best manufacturing practices, good relationship management or collaboration were measures used to promote quality of raw material supply. Also, proper documentation or recording of processes and quality measures do not have much attention or acceptance among Traditional Medicine Practitioners (TMPs).

Abstract:
Background/Aim. Virological testing is considered to be essential in the management of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in order to diagnose infection, and, most importantly, as a quide for treatment decisions and assess the virological response to antiviral therapy. The aim of this study was to determine the rate of a sustained virological response (SVR) and various factors associated with response rates in chronic hepatitis C infected patients treated with pegiinterferon alpha (PEGINF) and ribavirin (RBV) combination therapy. Methods. A total of 34 patients, treated with PEG-IFN and RBV were studied. Serum HCV-RNA was measured before the treatment, 12 weeks following the start of the therapy and 6 weeks after the treatment cessation. SVR was defined as undetectable serum HCV-RNA 6 months of post-treatment follow-up, virologic relapse (VR) as relapse of HCV-RNA during the post-treatment follow-up. Serum HCV-RNA was measured with the Cobas Amplicor test. Results. At the end of post-treatment follow-up 19 (55.8%) patients demonstrated a SVR. The majority of the patients were genotype 1 (27), and the other were genotype 3 (5 patients) and genotype 4 (2 patients). There was VR in 6 patients 6 months after the therapy. In 9 patients HCV-RNA was positive after 12 weeks. Conclusion. We demonstrated that patients with chronic HCV infection can be successfully treated with combination of PEG-INF and RBV. This result emphasizes also that post-treatment follow-up to identify patients with SVR or VR could be important.

Full text
Abstract:
This article argues that climate-induced movement is neither strictly a refugee issue nor a migration issue; and that the current protection gap is linked to the fundamental mischaracterization of the movement under one of these pathways. Terminology plays a crucial role in the protections and pathways for movement that are made available for people. Not quite refugee, not quite migrant, persons undertaking climate-induced movement face a protection limbo; where the eventual need for movement is recognized yet, the movement itself is defined in such a way as to be deemed unnecessary, at least for now. The refugee status case of Mr. Ioane Teitiota, a Kiribati national, is a critical example of this protection limbo. Characterized as voluntary, courts successively held up rulings that the adverse impacts he had attempted to escape were not yet sufficiently dangerous to warrant protection. Was Mr. Teitiota supposed to simply come back later?

Abstract:
A lightweight valve is often made of TiAl alloys and its stem can be solid or hollow. Such valves can mate with guides made of cast iron or of phosphor bronze at different conditions in their contact zone valve/quide. The aim of the research was to measure the friction force in the sliding contact between the valve stem made of TiAl alloy and its guide made of phosphor bronze, in the absence of oil. The experiment was conducted at room temperature and in static air under normal pressure. The investigations were conducted with use of the tester, which is presented in this article. The loading of contact zone has varied periodically during series. The displacement and acceleration of valve and the force during its impact into seat insert have been measured during tests. Additionally the sound level has been measured, either. Tests have been provided for different frequency of driving force. Additionally, researches on the tribotester pin-on-disc, presented in the article, have been provided, with the pin made of Ti6Al4V alloy and the disc made of phosphor bronze. The model of research stand has been elaborated for the simulation of dynamics for the material sample rotating plate assembly. The aim of such researches has been to obtain values of coefficient of friction for such tribological pair and to simulate dynamics of the material sample rotating plate assembly, characteristic for used research stand. The obtained courses of coefficient of friction vs. loading, slide velocity, duration of motion of material sample in respect to the rotating plate have been presented in the article. On the base of simulation results the values of damping coefficient have been estimated, which allow to obtain the value for the amplitude of the modeled motion for the material sample in respect to the rotating plate near to the value of the amplitude for the real motion. Such estimation allows forecasting the dynamics of the mentioned assembly for other values of velocity and loading.

Abstract:
This fictional piece draws on the author's experience as a juror and the experience of other colleagues who have served as jurors. Although this story is fairly critical of the jury process, this is not to imply that all jury processes are flawed. However, as a teacher and student of organizational behavior and an OD practitioner, the author is particularly conscious of group dynamics. In the juries that he has participated in and interviewed other colleagues about, it became clear that some jurors' decisions were influenced by pathologies that these jurors brought with them into the courtroom.
