Abstract:
The Umayyad period represents one of the most prosperous periods in Jordan's history. However, most of the research has long been focused on the luxurious palace architecture. The article describes the Qusair Amr Palace, which occupied a prominent place in the history of the study of early Islamic antiquities. The palace was built on the territory of modern Jordan, 85 km east of the capital city of Amman, in the VII–VIII centuries AD during the Umayyad era, which can be called one of the most prosperous periods in the history of Jordan. The purpose of the study is to present the Qusair Amr Pal

In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content: THE UNESCO WORLD Heritage site of Qusayr 'Amra is one of the most famous places for early Islamic art (Figure 2.1). This lavishly illustrated bathhouse, dated firmly to the period of 723–743, contains a treasure trove of mural images that have been described as capturing "a men's locker-room view of the world." With the possible exception of the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem, another Umayyad construction, more has been written on Qusayr 'Amra than on any other early Islamic art historical site. The hammams (or Islamic bath-houses), commonly known as ‘Turkish baths’, are one of the key urban facilities in Islamic cities. They evolved from the Roman and Byzantine public baths, as these were assimilated when the Umayyad dynasty conquered Byzantine territories in the Middle East between AD 661 and 750. Early hammams were built in the eighth century by the Umayyad rulers who established their capital in Damascus. The most famous ones are Qusayr Amra, in today's north-eastern desert of Jordan and Khirbat al Mafjar. The period following the rise of Islam witnessed a rapid development in the

A new loosely-coupled transformer structure and its working type are developed. Besides, a new set of high efficient based on the qusai-resonant technology is realized. Theoretical calculation and simulation software are used to prove its feasibility; a series of experiments are completed. Finally, the contact-less power transmission system functions well.

Composite iron oxides are very important advanced materials. In this paper different types of iron oxides α-FeOOH, α-Fe2O3 and composite oxide NiFe2O4 were synthesized via a simple hydrothermal method at 180°C for 10 h. The phases and morphologies of the products were characterized by X-ray diffractometer and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. The results indicated that α-FeOOH nanorods were prepared when mole concentration of NaOH solution was 3M. By increasing the concentration of NaOH to 5M and 8M, we obtained qusi-fusiform α-Fe2O3 single-crystallines and composite oxide NiFe

The mosaic artists at Qasr al-Hallabat possessed great technical skill. Comparative study of the decorative elements increases our understanding of the relationship between Qasr al-Castal and Byzantine sites. The artists, whether they were Muslim or Christians, had no difficulty in using their experience of traditional motifs, including those found in churches, to decorate the palace of the new Muslim rulers.
