Previous research has revealed that the functions of the dorsomedial (DMS) and dorsolateral (DLS) striatum are dissociable. Some of this evidence was obtained using the win-stay (WS) task, in which lights at the entrances to the arms of a radial maze indicate the locations of food. Many efficient ways for two-level logic minimization of Boolean functions have been presented. They can obtain the minimum number of product terms and no product terms can be replaced by a product term with fewer variables. Convergent evidence suggests that psychomotor stimulant drugs, such as amphetamine and cocaine, exert their rewarding and locomotor stimulant effects via increased dopamine (DA) transmission in the ventral striatum in rats. Growth chamber trials were performed to investigate optimal conditions for the small scale production of isolate M12-4A of Fusarium oxysporum on substrate materials that are locally available to subsistence farmers in West Africa. Field trials were conducted in Mali to evaluate the effectiveness of F. oxysporum for the control of Striga hermonthica and to determine the host range of F. oxysporum. Fusarium oxysporum M12-4A fungus is being evaluated for the biocontrol of Striga hermonthica, a parasitic weed of African cereal crops. The production of M12-4A inoculum was assessed in four Malian villages using local technology and substrates. A delivery system using arabic gum to temporarily glue inoculum powder onto the crop seed was tested. In controlled conditions, coating of sorghum seeds with arabic gum and inoculum powder did not affect seed germination or inoculum viability. The potential of Smicronyx umbrinus Hustache and Smicronyx guineanus Voss (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) as biocontrol agents of Striga hermonthica (Del) Benth was investigated at both population levels of Striga and Smicronyx spp. in the field in Burkina Faso. High population levels of Smicronyx spp. resulted in higher percentages of seed-pod galls although the weevils' adult populations decreased during S. hermonthica seed capsule production.
