Abstract:
A mechanical stabilization technique involving the cycling of calcium activated rabbit psoas fibers between states of isometric force development and isovelocity shortenings at near maximal velocity (Vmax) was evaluated. This protocol succeeded in stabilizing both the sarcomere striation pattern and mechanical performance (isometric force and velocity of unloaded shortening) of the fibers for up to 10 min of continuous maximal calcium activation at 12 degrees C and for greater than 15 min at half-maximal activation. Between these cycling events, a variety of mechanical measurements can be made. A description of the strategies involved in the measurements and specific illustrations are presented. A general description of a computerized fiber mechanics system, which utilizes separate microprocessors for experimental control and data collection, is given. The techniques should be of general applicability to muscle physiologists studying permeabilized preparations and offer the great advantage of providing reproducibility of measurement in a stable preparation.

Abstract:
The Modular Production System (MPS) can be used to reproduce nearly any function in complex manufacturing processes. In this work a different way of real time TCP/IP control of three different MPS controlled by embedded processors inside a FPGA is proposed. The digital design with FPGA is particularly advantageous due to its parallel processing made possible by its flexible structure, high integration and velocity. The TCP/IP control is carried out with a Rabbit Core microprocessor. This device contains the functions required to implement a web server allowing the remote control of the MPS. A user enters a public IP direction on a designed web page to enable/disable each independent manufacturing process.

Abstract:
This diploma thesis deals with description and subsequent implementation of web interface and control device for selected periphery devices through the use of processor module RabbitCore RCM3700 which is based on microprocessor Rabbit 3000. The importance of web interface based control is currently raised because of higher customers’ claims. Interactivity of these devices contains wide range of services, from simple event communication by text messages to complex driving systems for home which create the base of intelligent house. The customer can choose either the complete and more expensive solution or self-created one. There are two possible ways of creation. The first way is through the use of personal computer. The second one, more complex but also more effective, is by single-chip microprocessor. In this thesis the second one way is used. The module with processor with build-in web interface was used. Description and the way of control are given for this module and also for selected periphery devices, the LCD and digital temperature sensors. At the end the hardware and software part of control device is designed on the basis of gained information. The thesis contains also its brief description.
