Abstract:
Technology greatly affects the progress of the business, either individually, government agencies, or private sector. The development of information has a very important role in an effort to create progress in all areas intended for human benefit in general. Information systems are also an important part of the company in improving productivity. Rader Flower is a shop that is engaged in the sale of crops. In producing all of its products Rader Flower provides local raw materials and manufacturing is self-made. The problems faced by Rader Flower are determining the underlying price of the production, because currently the calculation of the cost of the product produced by the store is a calculation based solely on store policy and adjust and follow the price Market alone without calculating correctly and the specific working capital for a product, so it is very difficult for the shop Rader Flower to set the selling price of the production and of course this can affect in obtaining profits Or profit on the store. In this research, the design was built to determine the selling price of mobile web based plants using the full costing method. Can be concluded that this application can determine the price of plant sales at the shop Rader Flower.

Schray, Jason Garvey. "Scaled Synthetic Aperture Rader Development." DigitalCommons@CalPoly, 2016. https://digitalcommons.calpoly.edu/theses/1675.

Full text
Abstract:
Several previous Cal Poly thesis projects involve synthetic aperture radar (SAR), automatic target recognition (ATR), and tracking. SAR data was either accessed from a publicly available database or generated using complex computer modeling software. The motivation for this dual thesis project is to design and construct a scaled SAR system to support Cal Poly radar projects. Ideally this is a low-cost, high resolution SAR architecture that produces raw range Doppler data for any desired target area. To that end, a scaled SAR system was successfully designed, built, and tested. The current SAR system, however, does not perform azimuthal compression and range cell migration correction. These functionalities can be pursued by future students joining the ongoing radar project. The system built for this thesis is a 1 GHz bandwidth SAR system. The system is comprised of analog/RF front end circuitry, two antennas, a mechanical rail platform, power supplies, an oscilloscope, and control and image processing software. This thesis covers the design and evaluation of the analog/radio frequency (RF) front end circuitry and signal processing software. RF amplifier integrated circuits (ICs) were evaluated for two purposes: increasing transmitted signal strength and improving system signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). A voltage-controlled oscillator’s (VCO) tuning characteristic and bandwidth were measured to verify its ability to support system specifications. A ramp generator circuit was designed, assembled and tested. Multiple ultra wide band (UWB) band pass filters were investigated for received signal image rejection. A low pass filter (LPF) was designed, assembled and tested for noise reduction. The overall system was tested with multiple known target locations. This thesis is a joint project with Ryan Green, MSEE student. To understand the entire project, refer to both thesis documents. The overall project is covered broadly in both papers but each report specializes in selected areas. Ryan Green’s thesis document focuses on the system control software, antenna design, and mechanical rail platform. This thesis document focuses on the RF circuitry, analog circuitry, and image processing. The introductory section introduces radar system concepts and the SAR system layout. The remaining sections describe component designs, component performance and system results.

Abstract:
The study is a qualitative textual analysis comparing how two newspapers fromSmåland reacted to Nazi Germany during the interwar period. The purpose of the studyis to illustrate how newspapers' political orientation may influence its content. Theexamined material is limited to letters to the editor, editorials and columns. The twopapers are of different political orientations, Smålänningen is bourgeois andKronobergaren is social democratic. The theoretical basis is founded in Klas Åmarksperspective on Sweden's position in the war, the so-called small state realistic paradigmand the moral perspective, as well all Kosellecks theory about the written word. Theresults of the study shows that what’s written in the editorials, columns and letterswidely differ depending on witch political orientation it has. The social democraticnewspaper, Kronobergaren, had a strong anti-Nazi attitude and wrote a lot about theNazis and Germany. There are many texts that ridicule and criticize Hitler and theNazis. The bourgeois newspaper Smålänningen had significantly fewer textscommenting the Nazi-Germany and their content is often contradictory. Some of thetexts are strongly anti-Nazi, some give their support to Germany and proclaimunderstanding of its actions. Kronobergaren is deeply sympathetic to the Jews andSmålänningen has an anti-Semitic tone in many of their texts. There are also similaritiesbetween the two papers, its joint condemnation of war and the recognition of its terribleconsequences. The study in many ways confirms the previous research available on thesubject.

Abstract:
The purpose of this essay was to examine conversations between two Swedish organizations and their customers to explore how online meetings and dialogs can affect organisations image and relationships between customers and organisations. Viasat and C More are both live sport broadcasters with online play services. The study was motivated by three research questions: (1) How high response rates do the company's Twitter accounts have on positive or negative feedback and questions? (2) What strategies do the companies twitter accounts apply to customers who experience problems with with their live broadcasts? (3) What appeal and tonality does the company's twitter accounts have? Previous research offers a descriptive account of interaction and interpersonal communication, communication strategies, relationship building between organizations and their customers on social media and effects of relationship management and relationship building in social media. The theoretical framework consists of theories about relationship building and management, interpersonal communication and crisis communication. A quantitative content analysis was implemented to analyse in what extent the chosen companies respond to their customers during September 16 2017 and November 21 2017. Data collected was 734 tweets, which resulted in 406 twitter conversations. A qualitative analysis was conducted with methodological tools form nethnography and social network analysis. The findings showed that both companies answered the majority of received tweets. Patterns and themes were found in the qualitative study that showed both differences and similarities in C More and Viasat’ way of interacting. Viasat often has the last word, and end conversations more often than C More did. Both companies act accordingly to Benoits theories about image restoration. Findings also suggest that both companies risk their reputations and images by engaging in dialog. Interaction and commitment is also the key to build and nurture customer and organisation relationship in order to gain positive outcomes.

Abstract:
Drawing and coloring have been part of young students text making as longas the writing system has been used, but with the increased use of digital tools and an enlarged focus on accountability of today there is a reinforced educational interest to understand what constitutes multimodal student texts in the context of classroom practice. This thesis project overall aim is to highlight and discuss the opportunities and difficulties in the assessment of language and knowledge-developing multimodal text work in a multilingual educational context.Conceptually the study is grounded in sociocultural theories, in sociosemiotic theory and in multiliteracies research. The methods used consist of qualitative multimodal text analysis and semi-structured interviews with students and their teacher. The three empirical studies were carried out, each having a different perspective. The first study looks at the text production of students in an integrated work of drawing, coloring and writing. The second study focuses how students reason when they choose to draw, write or both draw and write when they report to their teacher what they have learned. The third study discusses what the teacher highlights when assessing her students’ multimodal text productions. Overall, the results show that the semiotic resources, images and color, dominate students’ text productions and that the teacher attaches great importance to the illustrations, but that she, despite the best intentions, has trouble using multimodal criteria when assessing the students’ different ways of expressions and semiotic resources into a whole. It seems to be problematic for the teacher to allow students to freely interpret and independently design the task while she at the same time intends to make an overall assessment of how the content is presented. The results also indicate that it is difficult for the students to verbalize their thoughts on the assessment and in practice; the teacher more often is focused on assessing abilities relating to how thoroughly the students carry out the process of documenting rather than encouraging the students to develop and express their knowledge. Finally, the thesis concludes with discussing the content of an ongoing need for research, especially regarding the consequences it may have for younger students, whatever language background they have.

Ytterligare delarbeten

Borgfeldt, E., & Lyngfelt, A.
