Abstract:

Se pretende la obtención de un extracto de semillas de P.angolensis (PASE) para determinar su capacidad protectora contra el daño inducido por rayos X, así como compararla con otros radioprotectores utilizados en radioterapia y en radiobiología. PASE presentó una capacidad genoprotectora significativa (p<0,001) frente al daño inducido por rayos X con un factor de protección del 25-35% y factor de reducción de dosis entre 2,5-3,7, dependiendo del momento de administración.
