190 Background: For men with symptomatic metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC), radium-223 was shown to improve overall survival in the phase III, double blind ALSYMPCA trial. Despite the observed benefits, the application and practice patterns of Radium-223 outside of clinical trials are largely unknown. Here we aim to better characterize the use of radium-223 in a large and heterogeneous real-world population. We identify treatment patterns associated with radium-223 and link these patterns with time to skeletal related event (SRE) and mortality. Methods: We reviewed charts

Abstract:
The basis of today’s security systems is the trust and confidence that the system will behave as expected and are in a known good trusted state. The trust is built from hardware and software elements that generates a chain of trust that originates from a trusted known entity. Leveraging hardware, software and a mandatory access control policy technology is needed to create a trusted measurement environment. Employing a control layer (hypervisor or microkernel) with the ability to enforce a fine grained access control policy with hyper call granularity across multiple guest virtual domains can

Trusted Computing capability has become ubiquitous these days, and it is being widely deployed into consumer devices as well as enterprise platforms. As the number of threats is increasing at an exponential rate, it is becoming a daunting task to secure the systems against them. In this context, the software integrity measurement at runtime with the support of trusted platforms can be a better security strategy. Trusted Computing devices like TPM secure the evidence of a breach or an attack. These devices remain tamper proof if the hardware platform is physically secured. This type of trusted

Computer security attacks take place due to the presence of vulnerabilities and bugs in software applications. Bugs and vulnerabilities are the result of weak software architecture and lack of standard software development practices. Despite the fact that software companies are investing millions of dollars in the research and development of software designs security risks are still at large. In some cases software applications are found to carry vulnerabilities for many years before being identified. A recent such example is the popular Heart Bleed Bug in the Open SSL/TSL. Abstract:
The work reported in this study looked at the effect of particle size on the release of radium with leaching time to see if changes should be made to those set in the authorisations to discharge.  A more accurate understanding of site-specific processes that affect reconcentration is needed to better model the fate of radionuclides and this will assist SEPA in determining whether changes in the NORM disposal regulations are needed. The first part was to determine the distribution of radionuclides with NORM contaminated sulphate scales by analysing not only bulk samples for specific activities

Two experimental campaigns were performed at the Collinear Resonance Ionization Spectroscopy (CRIS) experiment, located at the ISOLDE radioactive-beam facility. The spectroscopic quadrupole moment of 203Fr was measured. Its magnitude with respect to the other even-N francium isotopes below N = 126 suggests an onset of static deformation. However, calculations of the static and total deformation parameters reveal that it cannot be considered as purely statically deformed. The neutron-rich radium isotopes were investigated. In line with the approaches already adopted in France during the 90s on various sites where research and/or radium-extraction activities were mostly conducted in the past, the French public authorities wish from now on to pursue their prevention and site-rehabilitation approach inherited from the French craftsman and medical sectors that used that radioelement. As a matter of fact, radium has been in use in several medical activities, notably in the initial methods of cancer therapy. An overview of these legacies and of their radiological characteristics will be given.
