The paper studies heavy metals in soils of the train removal station Ussuriysk JSC Russian Railways. An adverse effect of railway transport on adjacent territories is shown. Railway transport and subjects of its support are permanent sources of pollution. Long-term emissions to the air are reflected by essential accumulation of tocsins in the top horizons of the soil. The authors reveal the amount of heavy metals in soils of the train removal station Ussuriysk JSC Russian Railways. AbstractAt present, many railway stations, in spite of being architecturally valuable, are subject to de-capitalization and degradation, which increasingly leads to demolition including elements or even entire railway stations of historical importance. Therefore, there arises a need to transform these facilities – as well as their nearby surroundings – into service areas not only for railway passengers but also for the consumer or tourist. In modern society, railways are Korea's core means of transportation that provide equitable convenience to all citizens, making a profound contribution to the welfare of the people. The railway station is not just a point where trains stop, but also a place of history and culture that informs an area, a place where various cultural events and social exchanges take place, and a space for various commercial and economic activities. Therefore, the station name, the name of the railway station, is very symbolic and has a complex influence in history, culture, society, and economy. The enactment or

This paper deals with the optimization of railcar flow assignment among multiple marshalling stations oriented to making a stage plan. We aimed to minimize the total dwell time of the on-time and delayed allocated railcar flow at the station within a stage plan. Considering the limitations of the disassembly and assembly capacity of marshalling stations, the limitation of the transfer operation capacity between marshalling stations, the connection time limit of inbound and outbound trains, and the limitation of trains with different full workloads, we constructed a multi-marshalling station ra

The optimization problems of train timetabling and platforming are two crucial problems in high-speed railway operation; these problems are typically considered sequentially and independently. With the construction of high-speed railways, an increasing number of interactions between trains on multiple lines have led to resource assignment difficulties at hub stations. To coordinate station resources for multiline train timetables, this study fully considered the resources of track segments, station throat areas, and platforms to design a three-part space-time (TPST) framework from a mesoscopic

In recent years, the energy performance of public buildings has attracted substantial attention due to the significant energy-saving potential. As a semi-open high-space building, the high-speed railway station is obviously different from other public buildings and even traditional stations in terms of energy consumption and internal environment. This paper investigates the current energy consumption situation and environmental quality of 15 high-speed railway passenger stations in China. Results show that the energy consumption of the high-speed railway station is between 117–470 kWh/(m2·a).
