Abstract:
An hour before dawn on November 8, 2016—a Tuesday—Sarvesh Kumar woke abruptly from what had been restless sleep. As he propped himself up on his charpoy, he told me, his eyes adjusted to the darkness of his tiny room, tucked away in a slum near New Delhi’s prosperous Vasant Kunj neighborhood. It was, he recalls, pitch black. Kumar’s inability to see enhanced his other senses. His ears picked up a chorus of mournful howls from the stray dogs roaming the streets some distance away. A few seconds later, he began to take account of a gentle rumble of snoring. Bandhana, his wife, was still asleep beside him. The next stimulation to hit him, he said, was that of smell: they had saved leftovers from dinner in a small dish, placed on the floor in one corner of the bedroom. (There was no kitchen, no fridge, no cupboards.) The smell of stale dal and starchy rice lingered in the air, mingling with the stench of urine from the latrine right outside. The apartment’s only toilet had no working flush, just a mug and a bucket with which to pour water. At night, Kumar’s father—who slept in the next room—would get up to urinate in the dark, sitting on his haunches and peeing all over the cramped toilet floor. Kumar was only twenty-two years old but looked much older. He was developing a hunch. His gray shirt and trousers—both made of the same rough, fraying cotton—seemed to fall over his limbs like oversized bags. Life was wearing him down. Kumar was working sixteen-hour shifts driving a three-wheeled auto-rickshaw, seven days a week. Ever since he had gotten married and brought Bandhana to join him in the city, his expenses had ballooned. His father, meanwhile, was working less and less, his health and eyesight beginning to fail him. Asha Ram Kumar worked as a chauffeur for a family nearby in Vasant Kunj. He had recently bumped their car into a lamppost. Any day now, Kumar told me, his father would lose his job.

The present study aimed to find the relationship between authoritarian parenting and aggression in youngsters. A sample of (N = 30) male and female youngsters were included for the study. Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ) developed by John R Buri in 1991 and Aggression Scale developed by Dr Guru Pyari Mathur and Dr Raj Kumari Bhatnagar were applied to collect data. Collected data were analyzed statistically. Results show that there is a relationship between authoritarian parenting and aggression in youngsters. The study concludes that high levels of aggression in youth can be caused due to authoritarian parenting.

Abstract:
English being an internationally accepted language for communication, many countries of the world have adopted this language as a common medium of ‘International Trade’& other affairs. Approximately 370 million odd natives are English speakers, while more than one billion people in 90% countries of the world are using this language as an effective means of communication. Thus, it is proved that English is the ‘Lingua Franca’ of ‘International Business Relationships’. Therefore, English has taken its dominant position as the ‘Global Language’. While, doing this research, it is found that Bengali is the most spoken language and used as the first language in West Bengal as it is their native language. There are certain barriers in reading English as the second language among the upper primary students in the schools of Udaynarayanpur in Howrah District, under the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. This study is focusing on the Language Management & fundamental causes of barriers in reading English (SL) faced by the upper primary students of Kankrai Gangadhar Sikshayatan (High School) of Udaynarayanpur. There are some psychological issues which are deep-rooted for mental harassment & physical torture by the British, experienced by the fore-fathers of the present generation. It is creating many obstacles among the students in reading as well as learning English smoothly. For some, English is still synonymous with opportunity and a better quality of life. The exercise of ‘Brahma Kumaris (BK) Raj yoga Meditation’ was very fruitful among the participants who practiced ‘Raj yoga Meditation’. The practice of ‘Brahma Kumaris (BK) Raj yoga Meditation’ among the upper primary students of Kankrai Gangadhar Sikshayatan has brought a radical change in their thought pattern overcoming all the psychological issues of learning English.

Suryakant Tripathi, better known as ‘Nirala’, was a poet, novelist, essayist, translator, and participant in the Chhayavad movement of the 1920s and 1930s. He is remembered for innovations in khari boli, evident in poems such as राम की शक्ति पूजा (‘Ram Ki Shakti Puja’) and his socially conscious commentary, exemplified by poems such as जागो फिर एक बार (‘Jago Phir Ek Bar’). Born Suraj Kumar Tevari in Mahishadal, West Bengal, he would later change his name to Suryakant Tripathi and write under the pseudonym ‘Nirala’, meaning ‘strange one’. Abstract:
Abstract Like apamin, MCD peptide constitutes not more than 2 per cent of dry weight of honey bee crude venom (Habermann 1972). The MCD peptide molecule possesses two disulfide bridges between Cys3/Cys15 and Cys5/Cys19. NMR spectroscopy studies demonstrated that the N-terminal residues lle1-Cys5 form a /Hurn and the residues His13-Asn22 on the (-terminus are in an a-helical structure (Kumar et al. 1988). This conformation is very similar to that of apamin. In contrast to apamin, MCD peptide is barely neurotoxic when applied intravenously, but intraventricular injection results in arousal and, at higher concentrations, epileptiform seizures leading ultimately to death (Habermann 1977). These actions are brought about by the blockade of a subtype of the delayed outward rectifier K+ channel (Dreyer 1990; Strong 1990; Garcia et al. 1991). Distinct from its central action, MCD peptide causes degranulation of mast cells and subsequent histamine release. Furthermore, MCD peptide has been reported to possess anti-inflammatory activity in the carrageenin-induced oedema model of the rat hind paw (Ziai et al. 1990) but this effect arises from mast cell degranulation in vivo (Banks et al. 1990).

Abstract Estimate pressure drop throughout petroleum production and transport system has an important role to properly sizing the various parameters involved in those complex facilities. One of the most challenging variables used to calculate the pressure drop is the friction factor, also known as Darcy–Weisbach’s friction factor. In this context, Colebrook’ s equation is recognized by many engineers and scientists as the most accurate equation to estimate it. Abstract:
ABSTRACT: The injection, storage, and withdrawal of hydrogen into depleted gas reservoirs can be a critical carbon-neutral technology in satisfying seasonal energy demand. In this paper, fault slip and induced seismicity are numerically investigated along a basement fault in response to gaseous hydrogen's injection, storage, and withdrawal in an overlying sandstone reservoir.. The model contains a chalk overburden, shale caprock, sandstone reservoir, and shale underburden, with an anticlinal structural trap and material properties representative of a generic North Sea candidate field.
