Моделювання спектрів RBS проводилося з використанням програми SIMNRA версії 6.0. У результаті отримані дані стосовно відбиття протонів від плівок різної товщини та складу. Ці спектри порівнювалися з результатами отриманими експериментально. Процедура порівняння ускладнювалася багатокомпонентністю плівок та близькістю атомних мас елементів, що входять до її складу. Проведені дослідження дозволили зробити висновки відносно реального складу досліджених плівок.
