This paper reviews the literature on reading continuous text from VDUs. The focus is on the reported nature, and potential causes, of reading differences between paper and screens. The first section outlines the scope of the present review. Section 2 discusses the nature of the reported differences between reading from either presentation medium. Five broad differences have been identified suggesting that reading from VDUs is slower, less accurate, more fatiguing, decreases comprehension and is rated inferior by readers. Manually typing long numbers on paper invoices is tedious and timeconsuming work. The task of typing all the fields of an invoice into a text editor was given to two subjects working with bookkeeping, and the average time consumed was measured to be five minutes. This thesis demonstrates that the most popular periodical genre of the second half of the nineteenth century was the provincial newspaper. The essay presents the development of Volume I: Narracube consisting of three storytelling prototypes. Syfte: Syftet med den här studien var att jämföra Digital Eye Strain-symptom mellan läsning på papper och mobiltelefon. Att undersöka om det som tidigare studier har visat i skillnad mellan läsning på papper och en datorskärm även gäller mobiltelefoner och hur mycket våra ögon påverkas när det gäller ansträngning, trötthet och andra ögonrelaterade symptom.  Metod: Deltagarna (n=16) fick läsa i 20 minuter tyst, antingen på papper eller en smartphone-skärm.
