Abstract:
Present a graphical modeling design methodology of component-based software architecture for distributed real-time system. First of all, definitions of real-time application component model, types of component element that are used for describing software architecture, and types of collaboration relationship between components are introduced in a graphical design environment. Secondly a graphical modeling design method of software architecture for distributed real-time system is described. Finally, the graphical modeling method based on components defined is illustrated via an example.

Using a sample of 30 countries representing about 65% of the global GDP, we find that real economic uncertainty (REU) has negative long-lasting domestic economic effects and transmits across countries. The international spillover effects of REU are (i) additional to those of domestic REUs, (ii) statistically significant, and (iii) economically meaningful. Trade ties play a key role in explaining why uncertainty generated in one country can affect economic outcomes in other countries. Based on this evidence, we construct a novel index for global REU as the trade-weighted average of all countrie

In recent years, many component-based real-time systems have been proposed as a solution to modular and easily maintainable distributed real-time systems. This paper proposes a methodology for estimating probability distributions of execution times in the context of such systems, where no access to component internal code is assumed. In order to evaluate the proposed methodology, experiments were conducted with components, and related compositions, implemented over CIAO and ARCOS. CIAO is a known real-time component-based middleware and ARCOS is a software framework devoted to the construction

A complex real-time embedded system may consist of multiple application components each of which has its own timeliness requirements and is scheduled by a component-specific scheduler that is tailored to meet its requirements. In this paper, we propose Class-based Component Composition (CCC) for composing independent components in an open environment. CCC applies a workload classification scheme to guarantee that the supply of shared resource always meets the hard-real-time constraints for on-budget workloads. The CCC solution aims to achieve a balance over multiple design objectives in compon

Heuristic search is a fundamental technique for solving problems in artificial intelligence. However, many heuristic search algorithms, such as A* are limited by the amount of main memory available. External memory search overcomes the memory limitation of A* by taking advantage of cheap secondary storage, such as disk. Previous work in this area assumes that edge costs fall within a narrow range of integer values and relies on uniformed search order. The goal of this dissertation research is to develop novel techniques that enable heuristic search algorithms to solve problems with real values
