Abstract:
We demonstrate the ReClass system, a real time reading detection classifier. ReClass detects if a user is reading text or not solely based on the user’s eye movements, without considering the content of the screen. We examined two machine learning approaches. In the first approach, we pre-processed the data using feature engineering and trained a Linear Support Vector Machine classifier. The second approach used a Deep Learning Neural Network; instead of feature engineering, we allowed the neural network to extract features from the raw data. The second approach outperformed the first by about 25%, achieving 96% accuracy. Our tool illustrates how Deep Learning can be a new innovative method for teaching machines to understand human behaviour. We discuss the potential applications of ReClass for educational assessment, medical diagnosis and training.

SYNOPSIS Most U.S. employers sponsoring defined benefit pension plans use an accounting model that balances managers' preference for income smoothing with the FASB's belief in fair value measurement. This model, which we refer to as the deferral/reclassification model, requires current period gains/losses and costs of plan amendments to be closed to accumulated other comprehensive income (AOCI) and reclassified to earnings in subsequent periods (RECLASS). The usefulness of information produced by this model is questioned, especially RECLASS adjustments, which affect earnings in periods subsequent to the economic events that engendered them. This study examines the usefulness of information produced by the deferral/reclassification model. We find that AOCI and RECLASS amounts demonstrate predictive ability and exhibit value relevance. Additional analyses compare the usefulness of information produced by the deferral/reclassification and fair value models. Our results suggest that although the deferral/reclassification model is not conceptually defensible, the information it produces appears to be useful. JEL Classifications: M40; M41.

Abstract:
Este trabalho visa espacializar as áreas de inundação da foz do rio Jacuí durante a ocorrência de dois eventos extremos de precipitação, em episódios de El Niño (setembro de 1987 e setembro de 2009) por meio de duas técnicas de delimitação de alvos no software IDRISI Selva 17: NDWI e Reclass. Foi observado que as enchentes não estão diretamente relacionadas a eventos de El Niño e, apesar do fenômeno influenciar na precipitação do Rio Grande do Sul (Brasil), os fatores locais como a topografia e o próprio regime de precipitação originam estas anomalias. Por fim, foi feita uma comparação dos dois eventos, onde se observa que a enchente de 2009 alagou uma área maior que a de 1987, sendo 435 e 368 km², respectivamente. A provável razão do aumento da área alagada foi o crescimento do cultivo de arroz nas regiões situadas na jusante do Jacuí, que diminui as áreas úmidas, removendo as barreiras de contenção do rio. O estudo foi feito através de imagens Landsat 5 – TM. Os mapas foram elaborados nos softwares ArcGis 10.2 e IDRISI Selva. Também foi observada neste trabalho a relação das cheias com as plantações que contornam a margem do Jacuí, arroz em sua grande maioria.

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui manfaat dari rancang bangun sisteminformasi geografis kesesuaian lahan tanaman jagung di Kecamatan Sukajaya DesaCileuksa, Pasir Madang dan Cisarua Kabupaten Bogor. Metode penelitian yang digunakanadalah Analisis Spasial. Data yang diperlukan adalah data spasial, dan data tabulasi.Dalam analisis data kesesuaian lahan untuk tanaman jagung digunakan metode pencocokan(matching) terhadap seluruh parameter fisik kesesuaian lahan untuk terhadap seluruhpenentuan kawasan penanaman jagung. Dalam analisis data kesesuaian lahan tanamanjagung, setelah proses overlay kemudian dilakukan tahapan pengkelasan ulang (reclass).Penelitian ini menggunakan metode RAD berdasar pada teori Kendall & Kendall (2003).Sedangkan tools yang digunakan adalah notasi UML menggunakan teori Whitten (2004)yang merupakan pemodelan berorientasi objek. Overlay tiap peta dilakukan secarabertahap untuk menghindari akumulasi kesalahan. Hasil penggunaan diagram use casedapat dapat dilihat pada Gambar 4. Serta desain tampak muka dapat dilihat pada Gambar5. Sistem ini menyediakan layanan informasi data kesesuaian lahan dan produksi tanamanjagung bagi masyarakat. Pemanfaatan lahan di Kecamatan Sukajaya Kabupaten Bogorsebagian besar masih berupa hutan lindung, permukiman penduduk dan lahan belumterbangun. Padahal lahannya sangat sesuai untuk tanaman jagung, untuk mendapatkanrekomendasi pemberian pupuk, parameter kesesuaian iklim, rupa bumi dan tanah dianalisisterlebih dahulu. Setelah itu diambil sampel di beberapa titik. Saran dari penulis yaitu perludiadakan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk hasil yang maksimal. Rekomendasi pemupukan didesa Cileuksa, Pasir Madang dan Cisarua disarankan rata-rata pupuk SP36 adalah 250Kg/ha, Kalium sebesar 50 – 75 Kg KCl / ha, Bahan Organik 2 t/ha, dan Kapur 500 g/ha.

Abstract:
This study attempted to delineate and map potential groundwater recharge zones of the Singida, semi-arid, fractured crystalline basement aquifer using open source remote sensing and GIS software. Various thematic maps such as lithology/hydrogeology, soil, land-cover/use, slope, lineament density, drainage density and rainfall distribution were integrated in QGIS software. Vector input layers were rasterized and resampled using QGIS wrap projection function to make sure that the grid cells are of the same size. Reclassification using SAGA and GRASS reclass algorithms in QGIS was carried out to realign the factor classes in a consistent scale, and reclassification to a scale of 1 to 5 was carried out to harmonize the results. The study identified a number of potential areas for groundwater recharge, groundwater exploration, groundwater development and potential areas for artificial groundwater recharge. Potential groundwater recharge zones for the Singida semi-arid fractured aquifer are restricted to areas with high lineament density, cultivated areas, grassland and flat to gentle slopes. The potential of groundwater recharge is also observed in areas with low drainage density. The delineated zones provide a good understanding of the potential recharge zones, which are a starting point for recharge zone protection. This blended approach can be utilized for carrying out suitability analysis using the weighted overlay analysis approach. Areas designated good and very good are recommended for artificial recharging structures as an alternative technique for enhancing groundwater recharge through rainwater harvesting. This will help to augment groundwater storage in this semi-arid environment.

Abstract:
Kegiatan penambangan timah di daratan di wilayah Kabupaten Belitung Timur sudah berlangsung sejak lama terutama di wilayah Kecamatan Kelapa Kampit. Banyak penduduknya bekerja sebagai penambang timah, namun kegiatan penambangan tersebut semakin berkurang seiring dengan adanya kebijakan terkait penambangan yang lebih ke arah pelestarian lingkungan dan adanya kegiatan reklamasi dan revegetasi yang dilakukan di lahan pasca tambang timah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis gambaran perubahan penutup lahan dan menganalisis pola matapencaharian di Kecamatan Kelapa Kampit. Data penelitian yang digunakan terdiri dari data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer di antaranya berupa citra satelit Landsat TM akuisisi tahun 1995 dan Landsat 8 akuisisi tahun 2015 serta data hasil wawancara penduduk lokal. Data sekunder berupa data data dari pemerintah daerah setempat, dan lain-lain. Metode pemisahan obyek penutup lahan menggunakan teknik klasifikasi unsupervised (klasifikasi tak terbimbing). Setelah dilakukan proses reclass, maka dihasilkan 8 (delapan) kelas penutup lahan diantaranya: Awan (no data), Hutan, Ladang/Semak, lahan tambang, permukiman, perkebunan dan tubuh air. Analisis deskriptif kualitatif dilakukan untuk melihat hubungan perubahan penutup lahan dengan pola mata pencaharian masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi kondisi yang kontradiktif antara lahan tambang dan hutan dengan lahan perkebunan kelapa sawit. Kondisi luasan lahan tambang dan hutan dari tahun 1994 – 2015 mengalami penurunan, sedangkan luasan lahan perkebunan kelapa sawit mengalami peningkatan yang cukup signifikan. Seiring dengan perubahan penutup lahan tersebut, terjadi penurunan jumlah buruh harian lepas dimana penambang inkonvensional termasuk didalamnya. Terjadi peralihan mata pencaharian yang awalnya mengandalkan penambangan, saat ini menjadi semakin banyak pilihan mata pencaharian yang dapat dipilih oleh masyarakat Kecamatan Kelapa Kampit.

Este estudio tiene como objetivo obtener el perfil psicológico de los reclusos mexicanos mediante la administración del Minnesota Multiphasic Personality MMPI-2), de Bucher et al. (1989), en su adaptación mexicana de Lucio, Reyes-Lagunes, y Scott, (1994) y poder obtener las principales características que definen su personalidad. Fueron un total de 2.051 participantes mexicanos de los que 853 son reclusos de diversas cárceles del Distrito Federal y del Estado Mexicano y cuyos resultados se compararon con 1.198 participantes no-reclusos para poder apreciar sus diferencias. Los resultados demuestran las peculiaridades características personales de los reclusos y reclusas, destacando especialmente la Desviación Psicopática (Pd), la Paranoia (Pa), la Introversión social (Si) y la Depresión (D). Este perfil psicológico puede completar la información de las ya obtenidas con los perfiles sociodemográfico de los reclusos mexicanos elaborados por las diferentes Encuestas publicadas por el Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE).

Doutoramento em Informação e Comunicação em Plataformas Digitais<br>As TIC têm um papel marcante em várias áreas da sociedade portuguesa actual. Existem enquanto apoio informal das relações humanas e como instrumento de cidadania pela disponibilização de serviços. Em paralelo, a reintegração social pós-reclusão é uma temática-chave no sistema penal português e respectiva legislação, reflectindo-se, em 2012, na alteração do nome da Direcção-Geral de Serviços Prisionais, para Direcção-Geral de Reinserção e Serviços Prisionais. Esta dicotomia entre uma sociedade cada vez mais presente e dependente da rede e a importância da reintegração dos reclusos, leva a questionar de que forma a disponibilização do acesso à Internet em contexto escolar prisional tem sido um factor de reintegração social. A literatura revela que a educação é um factor determinante na preparação do recluso para o retorno à sociedade e na redução da reincidência criminal. E as actuais linhas de ensino não ignoram a inclusão da tecnologia no percurso pessoal e profissional do indivíduo. Assim, a aquisição de competências infocomunicacionais não deverá ser censurada nos contextos de ensino situados na margem da sociedade. Através da realização de dois estudos de caso, que tiveram como estratégia de dinamização a realização de acções de formação em competências infocomunicacionais nos estabelecimentos prisionais de Santa Cruz do Bispo Feminino e de Santa Cruz do Bispo Masculino, esta investigação explora a relação entre os factores recluso, Internet e formação, sem esquecer o contexto, para propor um modelo de formação em utilização da Internet no sistema prisional português. Os resultados desta investigação contribuíram com: - uma proposta de utilização da Internet em estabelecimento prisional que incorpora um conjunto de orientações propostas pelos reclusos participantes nos estudos de caso centradas na experimentação, na necessidade de continuar a aprender, e na partilha. - uma proposta de utilização da Internet em estabelecimento prisional a partir dos contributos das profissionais que acompanham o recluso, entrevistadas no âmbito dos estudos de caso, que inclui: um profissional dedicado à relação do indivíduo com a escola e a existência de duas modalidades de equipamento para acesso à Internet no contexto de aprendizagem, e a possibilidade de acesso à rede noutros contextos que não especificamente o de aprendizagem, sempre com supervisão. - uma proposta de entendimento do processo de aquisição de competências infocomunicacionais, composto por três dimensões — operativa e instrumental da tecnologia, cognitiva experimental, infocomunicacional — que funcionam como etapas, e cujas características têm um espectro largo de adaptação ao indivíduo e ao contexto; ademais, neste processo o perfil do indivíduo é o factor-chave no resultado obtido, estabelecendo-se como determinante: a flexibilidade e a adaptabilidade, a resiliência e a curiosidade, a capacidade crítica e a responsabilidade, e o sentido ético.<br>ICT have an important role in various areas of the Portuguese society of today. They exist as informal support of human relations and as an instrument for citizenship. On the other hand, social reintegration after prison is a key theme in the Portuguese penal system and its legislation, being reflected, in 2012, in the name upgrade of the Direcção-Geral de Serviços Prisionais — “General Directorate of Prison Services” — to Direcção-Geral de Reinserção e Serviços Prisionais — “General Directorate of Reintegration and Prison Services”. This dichotomy between a society more dependent and existing online and the importance of inmates reintegration, lead us to question if the existence of Internet access in the school prison has been a reintegration key point. Literature reveals that education is a pivotal factor in the preparation of the inmate for his return and integration in the society as well as in the prevention and reduction of recidivism. And the present schooling guidelines reinforce the importance of the technology base knowledge in the curriculum of any individual. Therefore the acquisition of such competences is of extreme importance, and can not be ignored in the education that is offered to all those that sit in the margin of society. Two case studies consisting in the implementation of short courses on infocomunicational skills lectured in two prisons — Estabelecimento Prisional de Santa Cruz do Bispo Feminino and Estabelecimento Prisional Santa Cruz do Bispo Masculino —, allowed this investigation to explore the relation between the concepts inmate, Internet and education, never forgetting the context, in order to propose an education and training model for infocomunicational skills acquisition in the Portuguese prison system. The results of this investigation contribute with: - a proposal for the use of Internet in prison which incorporates a set of guidelines proposed by inmates, participant in the case studies, that focus on experimentation, lifelong learning and share. - a proposal for the use on Internet in prison which incorporates the inputs from the dedicated professionals who work with the inmates, interviewed during the investigation, which includes; (i) existence of a dedicated professional to manage the relation between inmate and school; (ii) the option between two different ways of accessing and using internet in prison school context; and, (iii) while supervised, the possibility of the inmates accessing the Internet for purposes other than those related with education. - an understanding proposal for the process of infocomunicational competences acquisition, composed by three dimensions — technological operative and instrumental, experimental cognitive, infocomunicational — which work as steps and which characteristics have a large spectrum of adaptation to the individual and to context; furthermore, in this process the individual profile is the key factor in the obtained result, being determinant features such as: flexibility, adaptability, resilience, curiosity, responsibility, critical ability, and ethics.<br>Las TIC desempeñan un papel notable en varias áreas de la sociedad portuguesa actual. Existen por un lado como apoyo informal de las relaciones humanas y como instrumento de ciudadanía para la prestación de servicios. Paralelamente, la reintegración social posterior a la reclusión es una clave temática en el sistema penal portugués y su legislación, reflejando en el año 2012, en el cambio de nombre de la Dirección General de Servicios Penitenciarios, para la Dirección General de Reinserción y Servicios Penitenciarios. Esta dicotomía entre una sociedad cada vez más presente y dependiente de la red y la importancia de la reinserción de los prisioneros, conduce a la cuestión de cómo la disponibilidad de acceso a Internet en el contexto escolar en prisión ha sido un factor de reintegración social. La literatura revela que la educación es un factor determinante en la preparación del prisionero para un retorno a la sociedad y en la reducción de la reincidencia. Y las líneas educativas actuales no ignoran la inclusión de la tecnología en la carrera personal y profesional del individuo. Por lo tanto, la adquisición de habilidades infocomunicacionales no debe ser objeto de censura en contextos educativos situados a los márgenes de la sociedad. Mediante la realización de dos estudios de caso, que tenían como estrategia de promoción llevar a cabo la formación en habilidades infocomunicacionales en las prisiones de Santa Cruz do Bispo Femenino y Santa Cruz do Bispo Masculino, esta investigación explora la relación entre los factores prisioneros, Internet y la formación, sin olvidar el contexto, que proponga un modelo de formación en el uso de internet en el sistema penitenciario portugués. Los resultados de esta investigación han contribuido con: -Una propuesta para el uso de Internet en una prisión que incorpora un conjunto de directrices propuestas por los prisioneros que participan en los estudios de caso concentradas en la experimentación, en la necesidad de seguir aprendiendo y en compartir. -Una propuesta para el uso de Internet en la prisión desde las contribuciones de las profesionales que acompañan el prisionero entrevistado, en el contexto de estudios de caso, que incluye: un profesional dedicado a la relación del individuo con la escuela y la existencia de dos tipos de equipo de acceso a Internet en el contexto del aprendizaje, y la capacidad de acceso a la red en otros contextos que no concretamente lo de aprendizaje, siempre con la supervisión. -Una propuesta del proceso de adquisición de habilidades infocomunicacionales, que comprende tres dimensiones - operativo y instrumental de la tecnología, cognitivo experimental, infocomunicacional - que sirven como pasos, y cuyas características tienen un amplio espectro de adaptación al individuo y al contexto; además, en este proceso, el perfil del individuo es el factor clave en los resultados obtenidos, estableciéndose como decisiva: la flexibilidad y la adaptabilidad, la resiliencia y la curiosidad, la capacidad crítica y la responsabilidad y el sentido ético.<br>Les TIC jouent un rôle important dans plusieurs domaines de la société portugaise actuelle. Elles sont à la fois un appui informel dans les relations humaines mais aussi un instrument de citoyenneté en raison des services auxquels elles donnent accès. En parallèle, la réintégration sociale post-réclusion est une thématique centrale dans le système pénal portugais ainsi que dans sa législation, qui se reflète, à ce titre, en 2012, dans le changement de nom de la Direction Générale des Services Pénitentiaires en Direction Générale de la Réinsertion et des Services Pénitentiaires. Cette dichotomie entre une société toujours plus présente et dépendante d’internet et l’importance de la réintégration des détenus nous amène à poser la question de savoir dans quelle mesure l’accès à internet dans le contexte carcéral a été un facteur de réintégration sociale. La littérature en la matière révèle que l’éducation est un facteur déterminant dans la préparation des détenus au retour dans la société et dans la réduction des récidives. Ainsi, les courants d’enseignement n’ignorent pas l’inclusion de la technologie dans le parcours personnel et professionnel de l’individu. Ainsi, l’acquisition de compétences info-communicationnelles ne devra pas être censurée dans des contextes d’enseignement à la marge de la société. A travers la réalisation de deux études de cas, qui ont eu comme stratégie de dynamisation, la réalisation d’actions de formation aux compétences info- communicationnelles dans les établissements pénitentiaires masculins et féminins de Santa Cruz do Bispo, ce travail de recherche explore la relation entre les facteurs réclusion, Internet et formation, sans oublier le contexte, pour proposer un modèle de formation à l’utilisation d’internet dans le système carcéral portugais. Les résultats de ce travail de recherche ont contribué à formuler: - une proposition d’utilisation d’internet en établissement pénitentiaire qui intègre un ensemble d’orientations proposées par les détenus qui ont participé aux études de cas ciblées dans l’expérimentation, avec la nécessité de continuer à apprendre, dans le partage. - une proposition d’utilisation d’internet en établissement pénitentiaire à partir de la contribution des professionnelles qui accompagnent le détenu, interviewées dans le cadre des études de cas, incluant: un professionnel dédié à la relation de l’individu avec l’école, et deux modalités d’équipement dans l’utilisation d’internet, l’une dans le contexte d’apprentissage et l’autre dans des contextes autres que l’apprentissage, toujours avec un encadrement. - une proposition de compréhension du processus d’acquisition des compétences info-communicationnelles composé de trois dimensions – opérationnelle et instrumentale de la technologie, cognitive expérimentale et info communicationnelle – qui fonctionnent comme des étapes, et dont les caractéristiques ont un spectre large d’adaptation à l’individu et au contexte; de plus dans ce processus, le profil de l’individu est un facteur clé dans le résultat obtenu, pour lequel sont déterminants, la flexibilité et l’adaptabilité, la résilience et la curiosité, la capacité critique et la responsabilité, le sens éthique.

La Nouvelle Géographie Universelle relativise et problématise la position de l'Europe dans le monde en restant dans une tension entre la critique des pratiques européennes dans les autres continents et la confiance dans des valeurs dérivant d'une tradition culturelle et des mouvements d' émancipation sociale. Pour éclairer cette représentation de l'Europe, on suit trois directions de recherche. Il s'agit d'abord de préciser la généalogie, la théorie et le contexte de l'idée reclusienne d'une Géographie Universelle. Il s'agit ensuite d'envisager les enjeux d'un projet scientifique qui est lui-même lié au projet politique conscient d'un groupe : de géographes engagés politiquement et socialement, avec lesquels Elisée Reclus a rédigé son ouvrage. On se centre enfin sur la construction géographique de l' objet Europe pour Reclus. Comment définit-il les notions d'Occident, d'Europe et d'européanisation, dans le contexte de mondialisation avant la lettre qu'il observe à la fin du XIXe siècle? A l'échelle inférieure, comment Reclus découpe-t-il l' Europe, quel rôle joue, dans ses choix, sa critique des frontières politiques et des cartes géographiques ? Quels rôles, selon Reclus, les différents peuples et nations européens ont-ils joue dans l'histoire et pourraient-ils jouer dans le futur.

La atención de reclamos de clientes en el Banco de Crédito BCP es un proceso crítico dentro de su estrategia de clientes y además se requiere darle la importancia debida que es exigida por el organismo regulador de la banca peruana, la Superintendencia de Banca y Seguros. Por ello, se debe disponer de una infraestructura tecnológica adecuada, que le permita al BCP tener una ventaja comparativa y ser líder en la atención de las diferentes solicitudes de sus clientes. Actualmente, para la atención de las solicitudes de reclamos, se cuenta con dos aplicaciones informáticas. A nivel nacional se ingresan las solicitudes en el aplicativo FERS (Front End de Reclamos y Solicitudes), mientras que Banca por Teléfono realiza éste ingreso usando el aplicativo Counselor-Reclamos. Por otro lado, Counselor-Reclamos también es utilizado para realizar el análisis y cierre de todas las solicitudes de reclamos, por lo tanto aquellas solicitudes que fueron ingresadas por el aplicativo FERS tienen que ser redigitadas en el Counselor. El presente proyecto contempla la creación de una aplicación que integre los requerimientos del front office y back office permitiendo reducir los tiempos de atención de las solicitudes de reclamos, eliminando el tiempo de redigitación, y que a la vez proporcione información de análisis de manera que se pueda cumplir y mejorar los estándares de atención al cliente. Dentro del alcance del sistema se requiere que permita descentralizar el ingreso de las solicitudes de servicios, contando con una plantilla simple y fácil de completar por los diferentes puntos de contactos del BCP; mejorar los tiempos de atención de solicitudes de servicios y reducir la cantidad de aplicativos para el registro y análisis de la información. En la primera etapa del nuevo sistema no se considerará la implementación de los cargos y abonos automáticos, tampoco se considerará la integración con el aplicativo contable. Los servicios de envío de correo, alarmas e integración no serán considerados en esta etapa. Finalmente no es parte del alcance de esta etapa la implementación de ningún software de administración de los documentos relacionados a las solicitudes, así como la integración con Expedición para la actualización de la fecha de entrega de la carta de respuesta al cliente. Las unidades Involucradas del BCP son Procesos Centrales, Marketing, Banca Corporativa Y Empresarial, Y Banca De Servicios – Áreas Canales De Atención.<br>Tesis

Cette these se propose d'etudier la constitution puis les premieres annees de l'existence d'une revue de langue occitane. Reclams de biarn e gascougne, publiee par une ecole felibreenne, l'escole gastou-febus, en bearn, a la fin du siecle dernier et au debut de notre siecle. Le premier chapitre presente la situation litteraire de cette epoque et resume ce que fut le felibrige. Puis il etudie comment, lors de fetes felibreennes, la rencontre du mouvement mistralien avec la realite culturelle locale entraina la creation d'une ecole regionaliste et d'une revue. Le second chapitre montre la maniere dont les auteurs de cette revue essayerent de constituer une litterature autour d'un public, d'abord en organisant leur mouvement (une part de l'etude est consacree a la sociologie des lecteurs et des auteurs) puis en tentant de normaliser leur langue (on etudie les phenomenes de "normativisation" et de normalisation linguistique), enfin en regroupant chaque annee leurs lecteurs, les sympathisants et les simples curieux dans des fetes populaires. Le troisieme chapitre met en evidence le discours de cette publication a travers les differentes etapes de l'auto-definition<br>This thesis is meant to study the making, then the firt years of a review, written in occitan, reclams de biarn e gascougne, published by a felibrige school, the escole gastou-febus, in bearn, at the end of the last century and early twentieth century. The first chapter presents the literary situation in those times and gives a summary of what was the felibrige. Then, it says how, on the occasion of festivals, the movement created by mistral-facing the local, cultural reality- led to the creation of a regionalist school as well as a review. The second chapter shows how the authors of this review tried to compose a literature from their readersip, first by organising their movement (a part of the study is about the readers and authors' sociology), then, by attempting to normalize their language (we study the phenomenons of linguistic "normativisation" and normalisation), and, at last by gatthering each year, their readers, sympathizers or simple onlookers in popular fetes. The third chapter stresses the content of this magazine through the different stages. .

Dissertação de Mestrado em Sociologia – Politicas Públicas e Desigualdades Sociais<br>Uma das condições necessárias na vida social é que todos os indivíduos partilhem um único conjunto de expectativas normativas e regras. No momento em que estas são quebradas, advém daí medidas restauradoras muitas vezes associadas à privação de liberdade. A prisão nos dias de hoje existe, então, com o propósito de fazer cumprir as medidas dessa privação de liberdade, trabalhando com os indivíduos na interiorização de trajectórias normativas. Neste sentido, um dos fenómenos que mais tem marcado a sociedade é o agravamento das desigualdades sociais e, consequentemente, da exclusão social a que estes indivíduos estão sujeitos. A família e o trabalho constituem o suporte essencial para a reintegração e reinserção em pleno na sociedade, tendo em conta que nem todos possuem esse tipo de enquadramento. Por conseguinte, no momento da saída é importante que sejam apoiados por instituições apropriadas e adequadas ao problema, para posteriormente lutarem pela sua autonomia na reinserção. A experiência do encarceramento influência negativamente a identidade do individuo, que sai transformado, e estigmatizado como delinquente. Segundo alguns autores a identidade, sendo o conjunto de características que definem os indivíduos e pelas quais podem ser reconhecidos, nunca está terminada definitivamente e é construída a partir de diversos processos de socialização. Neste sentido, tornou-se relevante compreender a forma como os dos dois grupos de indivíduos seleccionados para o estudo se caracterizam a si próprios, o tipo de identidades construídas e quais os factores que influenciam essa construção, tendo em conta que são indivíduos que estiveram privados de liberdade por um determinado tempo e que hoje são apoiados por uma instituição por falta de autonomia e enquadramento a nível social, familiar ou profissional.

ReCLAIM v2.0 is a software tool designed to calculate doses to exposure groups from radioactively contaminated land including UK Nuclear Licensed Sites. When using tools to undertake contaminated land assessments, it is important to understand the functionality of the tool and how the tool should be best used to undertake an assessment. This work describes the results from inter-comparison of ReCLAIM v2.0 with two other radioactively contaminated land tools (Conland and RCLEA). For the majority of cases there was little difference between ReCLAIM v2.0 and the other tools. In all cases where there were significant differences, the cause of the variation could be explained and quantified. In the majority of these cases the main exposure pathway was external irradiation. In these cases, variations in the calculated doses were due to the differing ways in which underpinning shielding calculations were undertaken to calculate external radiation dose coefficients. The effect was most noticeable for radionuclides emitting high energy penetrating radiation such as Co-60, Cs-134 and Cs+137. For these cases, there was a greater difference of up to around 60% in the dose comparisons between ReCLAIM v2.0 and the alternative tools, with ReCLAIM v2.0 being more conservative. These results demonstrate that where the algorithms and parameter values are similar, different tools will produce similar results. The user of such tools should be aware of cases where different results may be produced in order that an appropriate level of confidence can be assigned when making decisions based upon the results.

Este working paper propone analizar el trabajo coactivo y la servidumbre en los Andes coloniales a partir de la reconstrucción de la convivencia en las haciendas con mano de obra de diferente origen. En particular se centra en los reclamos de personas que siendo legalmente libres se consideraban esclavizadas y/o eran consideradas así por testigos de su situación. El texto se inscribe en una sociedad que por definición era desigual, la de Charcas, y estaba obsesionada por la clasificación de las personas, ya que así se definían las condiciones sociales a las que se les reconocían privilegios, derechos y obligaciones. Las categorizaciones y sus definiciones son, por ello, uno de los ejes del trabajo, en especial la del yanaconazgo. Aunque la experiencia cotidiana de los yanaconas fue muy semejante a la de los esclavizados, el trabajo busca distinguirlos y recuperar el uso específico que hicieron los querellantes de los diferentes términos.
