Full textThe advantage of a well-developed health information system is the significant role played by records produced by such a system beyond recording medical history of individuals. They are the foundation for birth registrations which when fully complete is an important tool for acquiring data necessary for planning and monitoring child and maternal health in a country. This study aimed to investigate the potential of hospital birth records to estimate the number of births in the country and supplement birth registrations data. Data was abstracted from public facilities where births occur in two municipalities; Germiston in Gauteng and Nkomazi in Mpumalanga for the period 2014 to 2016. Modified version of the BORN Data Quality Framework (BORN-DQF) of the Ontario Agency for Health Protection and Promotion (2016) was used to assess the contents and quality of hospital birth records.

Eksperimentalna merenja su izvedena pomoću razvijenog prototipa hardverskog generatora.
The dissertation investigates the impact of the application of the dithering signal (discrete analogue uniform noise) generated by the new method for increasing the effective resolution of measurement instruments based on the stochastic digital measurement method. The dissertation provides an overview of the existing solutions based on the stochastic digital measurement method in order to understand the need and justification of the research. The proposed solution represents a combination of a pseudorandom and truly random generator and as such holds the best features in both areas. А suggestion of a new way of generating the noise of the uniform distribution of amplitudes is presented. Instead of the usual way of generating using a pseudorandom number generator and a D/A converter, the generation based on the nonuniform sampling of sawtooth or triangle voltage is proposed. In addition to the savings due to the non-use of a D/A converter, the possibility of generating voltages from a continual instead of a discrete amplitude set is also obtained. Most of today's hardware pseudorandom voltage generators are based on the use of a microcontroller and D/A converter, so in this way the resolution of the pseudorandom voltage generation is limited by the resolution of the D/A converter. By sampling the sawtooth or triangle voltage using the proposed method, almost unlimited resolution is achieved. The use of this generated dither signal leads to an increase in effective resolution in stochastic measuring instruments. The simulation determined the optimal structure of the generator based on the proposed method. Experimental measurements were made using developed hardware.

Full textIn this thesis fixed point theorems which present singlevalued and multivalued generalization of Banach contraction principlein probabilistic metric and fuzzy metric spaces are proved. Thetheorem which presents generalization of fixed point theorem forprobabilistic g-contraction / : S —* S is proved, where ( S , J7, T ) iscomplete Menger space. A notion of strong (£>n)-contraction is introduced and the theorem which presents a generalization of Sehgaland Bharucha-Raid theorem when the mapping / : S —» S is strong(6n)-contraction is proved. Caristi’s theorem, which presents one ofthe most imortant results for the fixed point theorem and nonlinearanalysis is generalized in complete Menger space (S, J-, T ), wheret-norm T is of H -type. As Menger’s spaces belong to the class ofquasi-uniformizable spaces, the fixed point theorem for three mappings in one special class of quasi-uniformizable spaces is proved. The fixed point theorem which presents a probabilistic generalization of Nadler g-contraction for three mappings is proved as wellas the generalization of Hicks’s contraction principle for three mappings. The theory of contractor, which was introduced by M. Full textSaobraćajno-geografski i strateški položaj Kninske Krajine, uslovljavaju stalnu prisutnost ovog područja u balkanskim i evropskim zbivanjima, mada značaj prirodnih potencijala nije tome adekvatan.
The regional trafffic, geographic and strategic position of Knin Krajina was the main cause for its constant presence in Balcan and European events, though the inportantce its natural resources had not been adequate. Many armies passed through this region and a number of empires ruled it. Thruogh the turmoils of these events some natural elements were degraded (vegetation, soil, the whole scenery), total changes in its population emerged, destructions and arsons which had an-extremely negative effect on public economy. Vitality of the population had for a long time been successful in substituting for the constant migrations. However, constant deteriorating of natural and social elements, as well as modem natural movements, had influenced the speed of depopulation process, so that at the end of the XX centry a number of people in many settlements had decreased to the level equal to the middle XIX century period. Forming used to be dominant for centuries but the degradation of the nature and its qualities, poor investments and constant depopulation had affested it and made it inferior. Still, in order to have a balanced growth, apart from industralisation and agricultural production also needed to be very well organised. Agriculture, in this area, had to search for its future prospects in production of healthy food, both in cattle-breeding and in farming. The concentrated industry in Knin is not sufficiently good for a balanced growth and since building of new little factories in a few of small communities has showed positive effects, this direction should be followed. Changes in territory and in politics in the area of exYugoslavia, affects the increasing growth of central functions in Knin and therefore it has become an important internacional and republic center. Tourism should also contribute to the total development, and a proper evaluation of its traffic position and some natural resources as well. To make village communities more active some functional and communal facilities in local centres have to be improved.

The thesis seeks to analyse, on the one hand, the integration and development of the new technologies in the Administration of Justice; and, on the other, the parameters which constitute the validity and efficiency of the electronic document.
The first question centres on the configuration of the Information Systems of the Judicial Office and the Public Prosecutor, as well as the computerisation of the Civil Registers, where the art. 230 LOPJ it's the part key. Their programmes, applications, the Video Conferencing, the judicial registers and the telecommunication networks which are covered by the recognised electronic signatures, are studied, where the agreements on technological collaboration gain great relevance. The digitalisation of evidence might perhaps be one of the questions with most consequence, bearing in mind that the judgment is the act by which the process is culminated. Although not all the projects adopted within the compass of e.justice have developed completely nor have reached all the judicial organs. The final objective is to achieve an agile, quality Justice, to which the recently approved Strategic Plan for the Modernisation of Justice aspires.
With reference to the second perspective, there is no doubt that the juridical Ordinance and the tribunals within the compass of material justice grant full validity and efficacy to the electronic document. Our line of investigation is justified because there are more and more processes which are sustained by electronic supports of all kinds, whether it be at the establishment of the action or later, as a proof of it (art. 299.2 LEC). Amongst other things, we examine the computerised document, the problems which surround the fax, the systems for video recording and the electronic contract.

"The number-location association and its marketing implication." Thesis, 2010. http://library.cuhk.edu.hk/record=b6075297.
Full textGiven a display, people usually think that large numbers should be located on the top or on the right hand side of the display, whereas small numbers should be posited at the bottom or on the left (Wood and Fischer 2008).
Given this number-location association, this dissertation secondly intends to apply it to the field of marketing, and to use three experiments to explore how and why location of product image can influence people's price judgment. The results of experiment 4 show that consumers think that the market price of a product is higher if the product's image is shown on the right side of a display than on the left side; experiment 5 and experiment 6 further indicate that the location of product image can only influence consumers' price judgment, but cannot influence quality judgment.
Key Words: Number-location association, Simulation, Perceptual Symbol Systems (PSS), Price perception.
This dissertation firstly aims to provide new evidence for this number-location association. Experiment 1 demonstrates that people incorrectly remember that large numbers appear to the right of the locations they actually were shown while small numbers appear to the left ofthe locations than they actually were presented; experiment 2 and experiment 3 show that people estimate there are more pieces in a pile of object when the pile of object is presented on the right side of a display than on the left side.

Full text

Turbulent thermal convection is of tremendous importance to many areas of science, technology as well as the environment. In this thesis, the dynamics of the large-scale circulation (LSC) in turbulent Rayleigh-B´enard convection, which is an idealised model to study turbulent thermal convection problem, is investigated using the multi-thermal probe technique in the high Prandtl number Pr regime.
Using two kinds of working fluids, namely water and Fluorinert FC77, we achieved Pr from 5.3 to 19.4 and Rayleigh number Ra from 8.3×10⁸ to 2.94×10¹¹. The dynamics of the LSC is measured in an aspect ratio unity convection cell. It is found that the LSC in the high Pr regime is a single roll structure as expected. The probability distribution of the flow strength δ is a Gaussian distribution function with exponential tail to the left. The preferred orientation is also observed, which is revealed by the PDF of azimuthal orientation θ of the LSC. The azimuthal motion of the LSC is a diffusive process, which is the same as previous studies. However, we found that the diffusivity of the angular speed using FC77 as the working fluid is two orders smaller than using water as working fluid. The scaling of the measured Reynolds number Re number based on the oscillation frequency of the LSC with respect to Ra is in good agreement with previous experimental results and also Grossman-Lohse model prediction.
The abundant dynamical features of the LSC, such as cessations, flow reversals, torsional and sloshing oscillations and flow mode transitions are also observed in the high Pr regime. One surprising finding is that the cessation frequency of the LSC ,based on the statistics of the mid-height level of thermistors, is independent of both Ra and Pr, which is quite different from the (quasi) two-dimensional turbulent Rayleigh-B´enard convection.
