Abstract:
Methods of geoinformation analysis and geomodelling are used for the implementation of urban zoning. Recreational land use is a complex spatial system. The main task of recreational areas is to restore the strength and health of the population. Recreational areas consist of climatic, engineering and technical elements. Currently, creative and adaptive recreation is developing. These types of recreation fill the deficit of traditional recreational areas. The decrease in recreational areas is due to the construction of buildings. Recreational areas lose their natural properties. The financing of recreational infrastructure is reduced. In the article the geoinformation analysis of recreational provision of the city of Novosibirsk is executed. An original method of constructing a network of evaluation blocks is proposed. The analysis of the spatial location of residential and transport infrastructure. Information on the population and area of recreational facilities was used to calculate the recreational provision. As a result of geoinformation analysis it was found that 26% of the city residents are provided with recreational areas. 73% of residents do not have recreational facilities near the house.

Abstract:
This study investigates the visitors’ satisfaction at the most popular urban recreational area, Kepong Metropolitan Park, Selangor. It presents the analysis and synthesis of information collected from an open-ended survey. Selected visitors were asked to state their opinions regarding overall scene and the answers were summarized and categorized in terms of several dimensions. As a result, the researcher found that the visitors expressed several comments and suggestions that could be used as push and pull factors in determining their satisfaction in the recreational area. These two dimensional phenomenons are very useful as reference to researchers or designers to identify and fulfill the visitors’ satisfaction for future preparation of recreational area. © 2016 The Authors. Abstract:
The article discusses densification of fully urbanised territories, which causes deterioration of living conditions for tenants of neighbouring houses (third parties) due to the negative impact of construction on local environment. Specifically, detection of fundamental right violations during territorial planning is in focus, because not only third parties but also future tenants of the house being constructed suffer loss of healthy and harmonious work and recreational environment as a direct result of such violations. A classifier of fundamental right violations during territorial planning was developed for that purpose. The judicial practice was analysed; persons authorised to contest environmental violations under the Law on Administrative Proceedings (hereinafter LAP) and the scope of their authorisation were determined.

Abstract:
Haunted attractions are illustrative examples of recreational fear in which people voluntarily seek out frightening experiences in pursuit of enjoyment. We present findings from a field study at a haunted-house attraction where visitors between the ages of 12 and 57 years ( N = 110) were equipped with heart rate monitors, video-recorded at peak scare points during the attraction, and asked to report on their experience. Our results show that enjoyment has an inverted-U-shaped relationship with fear across repeated self-reported measures. Moreover, results from physiological data demonstrate that the experience of being frightened is a linear function of large-scale heart rate fluctuations, whereas there is an inverted-U-shaped relationship between participant enjoyment and small-scale heart rate fluctuations. These results suggest that enjoyment is related to forms of arousal dynamics that are “just right.” These findings shed light on how fear and enjoyment can coexist in recreational horror.

Abstract:
Resort hotels are usually built in tourist areas such as mountains, beaches, and lakes. The problem in this design is that contoured land becomes more difficult in designing compared to flat land. But how to create an advantage on the contoured land, and how to create a design and building in accordance with the title raised and the purpose of that is to support the existence of functions building according to the project case. The purpose of designing this Resort Hotel is to increase the number of foreign and local tourists who come to North Sumatra especially to the Lake Toba area and provide temporary shelter and recreational activities for the community and tourists who come. The method used is to apply the local wisdom of the Karo tribe. The shape of the roof at the Karo traditional house is applied to the hotel which has been designed and the use of ornaments as facades on building looks to apply the neo-vernacular architectural theme. The results of the design of Resort Hotels to attract tourists to visit this Hotel and the Hotel also aims to preserve the local wisdom of Karo tribes. "Hotel Resort Kodon" is present as a place or recreational facility that can meet the needs of tourists where the Lake Toba area requires many new lodging and recreation areas.

Abstract:
Francis Dixon Lodge is a therapeutic community in Leicester with a capacity for up to 15 residents. The Lodge also runs a day and out-patient service. The residential programme runs from Monday to Friday (with residents returning home at weekends), and comprises twice daily community meetings, twice weekly small group psychotherapy sessions, a once weekly art therapy group and a once weekly care-planning group. There is also structured time for recreational activities, housekeeping tasks and involvement in assessment of referrals. In addition to planned groups, a crisis meeting can be called at any time by any community member who feels they or another member are struggling in some way. This involves calling on the community to think about how to manage the situation, and is the way that therapeutic communities challenge impulsive behaviours. Individuals may not be at a stage where they feel able to manage their feelings at the time and are likely to ‘act out’ in self-destructive ways, but others around them may be able to offer advice and support. With time, it is hoped that they are able to develop more elastic impulse control (Campling, 2001).

Potential tourists book hotels, studying their interior in advance; familiarize themselves with places of recreation and infrastructure of the receiving deprivation, without leaving the house.; comparing prices; study feedback from visitors, etc. The modern tourism business is forced to increasingly use information and communication tools in competition for the client. At present, it is not enough for entrepreneurs to create tourist and recreational infrastructure facilities, it is important to form unforgettable positive emotions, atmosphere and demonstrate this not only in the traditional format, but also with the use of digital technologies. Based on a study of publications, it was revealed that Russian economists consider entrepreneurship in the field of recreation and tourism not just as a risky and profitable activity, but as an innovative one. However, the authors describe mainly economic, political, social and natural risks, leaving out psychophysiological phenomena of stress in both entrepreneurs and consumers of services, which are currently aggravated. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the role of a modern entrepreneur in the field of recreation and tourism in the conditions of digitalization and give recommendations that contribute to the further development of entrepreneurial activity in the conditions of digitalization.

Based on a study of publications, it was revealed that Russian economists consider virtual tourism as a new type of tourism, foreign authors use the concepts of “virtual tour” and “virtual reality” more. The development of information technologies takes tourism and recreation organizations to a new level of development. The purpose of the article is to determine the essence of virtual tourism: this is a new type of tourism, innovations in tourism in the context of digitalization or another worldview. Abstract:
Ketamine was developed in the 1960s and promoted as a dissociative anesthetic because of its ability to induce a lack of responsive awareness not only to pain but to the general environment. The subjective experiences of ketamine intoxication range from pleasant dreams to intensely visual or polysensual hallucinations. Occasionally a brief full-blown delirium occurs. Despite warnings about its abuse potential, ketamine eventually appeared on the streets in the early 1970s in the same way that phencyclidine (PCP) did in the 1960s. By the early 1980s various preparations of ketamine were available on the street with such names as Special K, 1980 acid, and Super C. In the 1990s the social-recreational use of ketamine reemerged in the context of a subcultural music phenomenon known as “acid house” music. Large-scale parties, usually called “raves,” combine acid house music and ketamine use. Ketamine abuse appears to be on the increase. Clinically significant consequences range from occasional flashbacks to delirious reactions, and every type of dissociative symptomology.

Full text
Abstract:
Background Infodemiology is an emerging field of research that utilizes user-generated health-related content, such as that found in social media, to help improve public health. Twitter has become an important venue for studying emerging patterns in health issues such as substance use because it can reflect trends in real-time and display messages generated directly by users, giving a uniquely personal voice to analyses. Over the past year, several states in the United States have passed legislation to legalize adult recreational use of cannabis and the federal government in Canada has done the same. There are few studies that examine the sentiment and content of tweets about cannabis since the recent legislative changes regarding cannabis have occurred in North America. Objective To examine differences in the sentiment and content of cannabis-related tweets by state cannabis laws, and to examine differences in sentiment between the United States and Canada between 2017 and 2019. Methods In total, 1,200,127 cannabis-related tweets were collected from January 1, 2017, to June 17, 2019, using the Twitter application programming interface. Tweets then were grouped geographically based on cannabis legal status (legal for adult recreational use, legal for medical use, and no legal use) in the locations from which the tweets came. Sentiment scoring for the tweets was done with VADER (Valence Aware Dictionary and sEntiment Reasoner), and differences in sentiment for states with different cannabis laws were tested using Tukey adjusted two-sided pairwise comparisons. Topic analysis to determine the content of tweets was done using latent Dirichlet allocation in Python, using a Java implementation, LdaMallet, with Gensim wrapper. Results Significant differences were seen in tweet sentiment between US states with different cannabis laws (P=.001 for negative sentiment tweets in fully illegal compared to legal for adult recreational use states), as well as between the United States and Canada (P=.003 for positive sentiment and P=.001 for negative sentiment). In both cases, restrictive state policy environments (eg, those where cannabis use is fully illegal, or legal for medical use only) were associated with more negative tweet sentiment than less restrictive policy environments (eg, where cannabis is legal for adult recreational use). Six key topics were found in recent US tweet contents: fun and recreation (keywords, eg, love, life, high); daily life (today, start, live); transactions (buy, sell, money); places of use (room, car, house); medical use and cannabis industry (business, industry, company); and legalization (legalize, police, tax). The keywords representing content of tweets also differed between the United States and Canada. Conclusions Knowledge about how cannabis is being discussed online, and geographic differences that exist in these conversations may help to inform public health planning and prevention efforts. Public health education about how to use cannabis in ways that promote safety and minimize harms may be especially important in places where cannabis is legal for adult recreational and medical use.

As far as preparations for drawing up the study are concerned, the following procedures were used: analysis of historical sources, synthesis, induction, deduction and the comparative method. <br>The years 1932-1939 saw the development of tourism and recreation in the county of Kremenets. It was noticeable in the progression of infrastructure for tourism and recreation, e.g. in Kremenets, the Community and Tourism House was built. Some facilities were established for active tourism in the county of Kremenets. In addition to infrastructure, an important element in tourism activity was personnel training. Activity in the fi eld of tourism and recreation was pursued by social organisations including the following; Polish Sightseeing Association (branch in Kremenets), the County Committee for Physical Education and Military Training in Kremenets, the County Committee of Rural Youth in Kremenets, the Volhynian District Skiing Association, Union of Social Organisations and Association of Women’s Civic Work. In the fi eld of tourism, an important role was played by Kremenets Secondary School. In Kremenets, a department of the “Orbis” Travel Agency operated. In the county of Kremenets, mainly sightseeing, school as well asactive tourism was practised, and excursion traffi c in its broad sense was notable.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to identify the influence of recreational facilities towards leisure physical activities among youth. As many as 913 respondents aged between 13 to 17 years old from four districts (Seremban, Muar, Kota Star and Kuantan) in Peninsular Malaysia, were chosen through a layered cluster random sampling technique. The results show that the safety of the environment is in moderate level (busy road: M=3.51, SP=1.31; stray dog: M=3.46, SP=1.38; crime: M=3.23, SP=1.33) and it has no connection with the involvement of youths in LTPA (r=-0.01, p>0.05). It is also discovered that sports facilities limit them from undergoing physical activities during leisure hours. However, facilities are easy to be used (75%) by youths and this leads to a significant relationship with LTPA (r=0.10, p<0.05). The implication of this research shows that physical environment is pivotal in order to increase the level of youth involvement in overall free time physical activities. Thus, it is suggested that these physical activities can only take more of the teenagers’ time if they are carried out in environments which are creative, comfortable, safe and user-friendly. Abstract:
Severe aging in rural China is prompting communities to promote support for older people to age in place. The study of the daily life of older adults in rural areas is conducive to understanding their real life and demands, as well as the way they interact with their environment, to develop feasible strategies. In this study, 171 older adults over 60 years old in two different types of villages in Northern Zhejiang Province were investigated and analyzed in terms of the temporal and spatial features of daily activities, as well as their relationship with population attributes, personal competence, and subjective demands. The results show that: (1) significant association can be seen between working hours and the demand for health services, housework hours and gender and age, as well as leisure hours and ADL and the demand for recreational services. (2) The older adults appear to have inter-group homogeneity in some aspects: basic living activities, leisure hours, the gender difference in housework hours, and recreational preference, while they have higher average paid work hours and fewer leisure alternatives than their urban counterparts. Their definitions of paid work, housework, and leisure activities are vague. (3) The definition of home by the older adults in rural places sometimes seems to go beyond the scope of their own house, and the extensive definition of home may change their recognitions of some activities. They also inclined to assign meaning to a place through frequent use rather than through external definitions. (4) The weak consciousness on buying services and deteriorated financial situation hinders the older adults in rural communities from expressing their real demands. Unspoken demands include economic security, recreational choices, and assistance in housework. The results will help to provide references for the improvement of eldercare services and the community environment.

Full text
Abstract:
Freshwater crayfish support significant commercial and recreational fisheries worldwide. The genus Cherax is fished in Australia with a variety of fishing gears, yet little is known of the relative efficiency of the different fishing gears and methods. Additionally, freshwater-crayfish traps can pose a risk to air breathing by-catch such as aquatic mammals, reptiles and birds, so by-catch mitigation is important. We sought to understand whether freshwater-crayfish fishing can be undertaken efficiently, using passive traps and nets, without undue risk to air-breathing by-catch species. In field-experiments, we compared the efficiency of six gear types and tested the effect of five exclusion rings on catch performance over three soak times. The efficiency of gear types varied significantly by soak times. In productive locations, catch can be maximised by repeatedly deploying open-topped gear for short soak times. Opera-house traps fitted with fixed entrance rings (45–85-mm diameter) were not size-selective for yabbies. Encouragingly, open-topped gear and opera-house traps fitted with fixed ring entrances much smaller than many commercially available (45-mm diameter) still fish effectively for yabbies. We believe that smaller fixed ring-entrance size is likely to be correlated with a reduced risk of by-catch for air-breathing fauna.

Abstract:
The article discusses the process of changing family functions towards its commercialization, namely the emergence and development of the market of paid services for the family in the areas that historically have been served by the resources of the family itself. The authors analyzed 30 interviews with young parents and childless couples, and also carried out a content analysis of 150 discussions on family forums and materials on websites promoting commercial services for families to identify the transfer of certain family functions to external paid experts. According to the results of the study, the authors conclude that most of all changes can be traced on the example of reproductive, educational, running the house, emotional and leisure functions. Special attention is paid to the institutionalization of the recreational function, in particular such aspect of it as holding children’s parties.

John Horton Conway lived to discover the Mathematics behind problems, always working to isolate a pure, essential kernel of truth. He loved to communicate these simple truths to others, often changing the way they thought. Everything John touched turned to Mathematics, and to very beautiful Mathematics. John was generous with his mathematical riches; he gave them to everyone that showed interest — whether at the coffee house, at the sushi restaurant, or in Mathematics departments. He was a magnet for all mathematicians, and he welcomed all who came to him. John would find a way to start with some simple calculation, a game or puzzle and turn it into whatever he wanted to explain. John often chose problems about games and recreational topics, but the insights he derived changed our understanding of several very serious branches of Mathematics.

Abstract:
Studies of escape from predators have usually focused on fleeing. We studied intra- and inter-specific variations in a previous level of decision-making during predator–prey encounters by determining the difference between the distance at which a predator is detected and the distance at which the prey flees from the predator (buffer distance). We measured buffer distances of four bird species (ground foragers) living in forested habitats (wooded recreational parks) to approaching humans. Buffer distances increased with group size and temperature, and this was probably related to dilution of the predation risk and a higher risk of heat stress, respectively. Buffer distances decreased with shrub and coniferous cover, probably because of increased visual obstruction, and increased with tree height, probably because of the increased security provided by taller trees. Grass cover increased buffer distances of wood pigeons (Columba palumbus) but decreased those of house sparrows (Passer domesticus) and magpies (Pica pica); this may be related to higher food availability, i.e., vegetation in grassy areas for wood pigeons and food left by humans in areas with bare ground for house sparrows and magpies. Buffer distances of blackbirds (Turdus merula) and house sparrows were greater in highly visited parks, which may be related to habituation. Finally, larger species showed greater buffer distances, landed farther away, used higher landing substrates (trees), and flew higher, probably because they need to ensure a certain margin of security from predators. Alternatively, the increased buffer distances of large species may be related to the increasing energy expenditure of flight. The buffer distance appears to be a good indicator of tolerance toward predators and (or) risk taken by prey after detecting predators.

Abstract:
The use of imagery by athletes was assessed by administering a 37-item questionnaire to a sample of 381 male and female participants from six sports. The sample comprised competitors in the sports of football, ice hockey, soccer, squash, gymnastics, and figure skating. Athletes reported using imagery more in conjunction with competition than with practice. The motivational function of imagery was found to be important, but no substantial differences were evident between how athletes employ visual and kinesthetic imagery or how they use internal and external imagery perspectives. Athletes also indicated that they do not have very structured or regular imagery sessions. The level at which athletes were competing (recreational/house league, local competitive, provincial competitive, national/international competitive) was found to influence imagery use. The higher the competitive level, the more often the athletes reported using imagery in practice, in competition, and before an event.

- The opportunities that Expo 2015 needs to provide in order to ensure its long-lasting success in Milan and Lombardy require that the organisers conceive the initiative in a strategic mindset. This must encompass upgrading of local services, beginning with the new high-speed train station in the Expo area and subsequently taking in the entire public transport and commuter system. A further opportunity is the transformation of the districts into two grand urban projects that could house between 12,000 and 15,000 people with adequate services and supra-municipal urban centres, in this way sparing the land in the most prized agricultural areas. Finally, all agricultural zones could be assessed in terms of their relation to Expo, not only for their productive potential and to safeguard the environment, but also for the social benefits they could provide in terms of leisure time and the development of educational and recreational functions, including museums.

Abstract:
To investigate the association between physical activity and cognitive ability, cross-sectional data from a representative cohort of 1,189 adults (70–79 years old) participating in the MacArthur Study of Successful Aging were examined. The frequency of current house/yardwork and recreational activities was assessed using five categories of responses. A total physical activity score was derived, and cognitive ability was assessed. The total physical activity score showed a modest yet significant bivariate correlation with the total cognitive ability score. In the multivariate analysis, physical activity showed a significant association with the total cognitive ability score, independent of gender, self-rated health, average peak expiratory flow rate, body mass index, number of current social relationships, and visual contacts in the past month. When education was added to the model, however, the effect of physical activity was substantially diminished. Higher levels of physical activity appear to be associated with some cognitive benefits among a population of healthy older adults, although this association is influenced strongly by their joint association with education.

Abstract The goal of the Canadian Arctic Weather Science (CAWS) project is to conduct research into the future operational monitoring and forecasting programs of Environment and Climate Change Canada in the Arctic where increased economic and recreational activities are expected with enhanced transportation and search and rescue requirements. Due to cost, remoteness and vast geographical coverage, the future monitoring concept includes a combination of space-based observations, sparse in situ surface measurements, and advanced reference sites. A prototype reference site has been established at Iqaluit, Nunavut (63°45'N, 68°33'W), that includes a Ka-band radar, water vapor lidars (both in-house and commercial versions), multiple Doppler lidars, ceilometers, radiation flux, and precipitation sensors. The scope of the project includes understanding of the polar processes, evaluating new technologies, validation of satellite products, validation of numerical weather prediction systems, development of warning products, and communication of their risk to a variety of users. This contribution will provide an overview of the CAWS project to show some preliminary results and to encourage collaborations.

Abstract:
The Taba Case is so called because, although it involved fourteen disputed points on the boundary between Israel and Egypt, the most important area of dispute lay at the delta where the Wadi Taba runs down from the Sinai hills into the waters of the Gulf of Aqaba. Here, on the eastern part of the delta, close to the sea, a substantial hotel was built in 1982 with the consent of Israel. Before that date the delta had been practically empty. Taba was not the name of an inhabited place. It was merely the southern terminus, on the shores of the Gulf of Aqaba, of the border between Israel and Egypt. For a while, there was an Egyptian police post on the west side of the Wadi. In the thirties there was also a rest house occasionally used for recreational purposes by a British official working for the Government of Palestine. Otherwise, until the hotel was built, the place was uninhabited and without economic, strategic or even political importance. Yet the disagreement between Egypt and Israel in this connection between 1979 and 1985 added significantly to the difficulties in the political relationship between the two countries.

Abstract:
The objective of this study is to describe the relationships between grandchildren and their favourite grandparents, by studying the socialization styles used by latter and the shared activities undertaken. The participants were 360 children between 10 and 12 years old, who completed the grandparent-grandchild relationship questionnaire of Rico, Serra and Viguer (2001) and the socialization questionnaire of Rey and Ruiz (1990). The results demonstrate the importance of gender and family line in the selection of the favourite grandparent, differences being shown in the types of shared activities and in socialization styles. It is concluded that in the majority of cases the profile of the favourite grandparent is the maternal grandmother, retired or a house wife, aged between 60-70, who lives in the same city as his/her grandchild, and who has contact with them several times a week. Furthermore, favourite grandparents get more involved with granddaughters than with grandsons, both in support and care activities and in cultural-recreational activities, and they primarily employ a democratic style. However, there are differences depending on the gender of the grandchild, with democratic principles being used more with girls and authoritarian ones with boys.

Abstract:
In New Zealand and Australia, 25 and 16 introduced mammals are viewed as pests, respectively, as well as a further 17 native mammals in Australia. Most introductions were deliberate and the deleterious effects became apparent later. These pests affect primary production, act as a sylvatic reservoir of disease, cause degradation of natural ecosystems, or threaten rare or endangered native animals and plants. Many species have multiple impacts. In Australia, some native mammals, particularly kangaroos and wallabies, are also controlled because of their adverse impacts on primary production. In both countries, current control depends largely on the use of poisons, shooting, the spread of disease (in the case of rabbits), trapping, habitat alteration, and commercial or recreational hunting. Methods of control by interfering with fertility (immunocontraception) are currently being investigated for rabbits, house mice, foxes, and kangaroos in Australia, and for the brushtail possum in New Zealand. If these methods prove effective, they may be applied to other mammal pests, but the need to tailor the particular approach to the ecology and behaviour of the species means that there will be a necessarily long lead time

Abstract:
N-Benzylphenethylamines are novel psychedelic substances increasingly used for research, diagnostic, or recreational purposes. To date, only a few metabolism studies have been conducted for N-2-methoxybenzylated compounds (NBOMes). Thus, the available 2,5-dimethoxy-4-(2-((2-methoxybenzyl)amino)ethyl)benzonitrile (25CN-NBOMe) metabolism data are limited. Herein, we investigated the metabolic profile of 25CN-NBOMe in vivo in rats and in vitro in Cunninghamella elegans (C. elegans) mycelium and human liver microsomes. Phase I and phase II metabolites were first detected in an untargeted screening, followed by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) identification of the most abundant metabolites by comparison with in-house synthesized reference materials. The major metabolic pathways described within this study (mono- and bis-O-demethylation, hydroxylation at different positions, and combinations thereof, followed by the glucuronidation, sulfation, and/or N-acetylation of primary metabolites) generally correspond to the results of previously reported metabolism of several other NBOMes. The cyano functional group was either hydrolyzed to the respective amide or carboxylic acid or remained untouched. Differences between species should be taken into account in studies of the metabolism of novel substances.

Abstract:
The housing complex in Banda Aceh City has been built up and spread to the suburbs. The condition of one housing with another housing is different. Each consumer has its own consideration in determining the housing location, type of house built, facilities provided, and the price and manner of ownership of the house. This study aims to identify consumer decision factors in choosing housing locations, and identify dominant consumer decision factors in choosing housing locations in Banda Aceh City. Respondents in this study were residents entering the city of Banda Aceh. The number of samples in this study was set at 150 people. The sampling technique used was proportionate stratified random sampling, which is the determination of samples in proportionally non-homogeneous and stratified populations. The factors evaluated are accessibility factors, completeness of infrastructure and facilities, facilities, environmental conditions, prices and services, and buildings. Data processing used validity test, and reliability test, while data analysis used descriptive analysis and factor analysis of Principle Component Analysis (PCA). The results showed that factors that became consumer decisions in choosing housing locations were accessibility and service factors, infrastructure and facilities, facilities and home ownership, environmental conditions, price and design, road conditions, and price conformity factors. The dominant consumer decision factor in choosing housing locations is accessibility and service factors with a variance of 24.798%. Indicators of accessibility and service factors are proximity to the workplace, proximity to the main road, proximity to the city center, proximity to trade facilities, proximity to educational facilities, proximity to banking service facilities, proximity to government offices, proximity to recreational/entertainment places, proximity to sports venues, proximity to terminals, ease of reaching locations without significant obstacles, prices according to facilities and infrastructure offered, speed of developers receiving complaints, DP fees and ease of DP payments, discounts, and gift bonuses.

Abstract:
AbstractQuality of life (QOL) is associated with factors such as health, physical functioning, life satisfaction, a sense of happiness, and others. In case of disabled people, much attention is paid to their QOL rather than only the improvement of physiological variables. In a group of blind and visually impaired people, the effect of physical activity (PA) on the socialization process, the ability to explore own personality traits, developing creativity, and more motivation and desire to overcome the difficulties associated with visual impairment were observed. The study involved 53 people: visually impaired (NT) sedentary lifestyle people (n=18; 51±12 years) and visually impaired tandem cycling athletes (N) (n=17; 42±13 years). Properly sighted people (P) (n=18; 38±12 years) were partners in tandem with visually impaired athletes. To determine the level of PA, the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) was used. The WHO-Quality of Life (WHO-QOL-BREF), the National Eye Institute 25-item Visual Functioning Questionnaire (NEI VFQ-25, version 2000), and the Retina AMD Poland Association questionnaire were used to assess QOL. In visually impaired athletes, significantly greater PA with moderate intensity, moving by bike, and energy expenditure for vigorous recreational exercise and sport in leisuretime was found. Sedentary lifestyle people mainly participated in moderate physical activity around the house. Significant greater satisfaction with health was observed in the case of visually impaired athletes in comparison with NT. All disabled groups rarely had negative feelings such as despair, depression, and anxiety. Moderate correlations between variables according to physical activity and quality of life in all participants were observed. The meaningfulness of life and life satisfaction also depended on cycling training and moderate physical activity around the house. The obtained data indicate that all available forms of regular PA in visually impaired people could have a beneficial effect on their quality of life.

Abstract:
Green plantations of sanatorium parks (Voronezh region) were laid in the pre-war years on the basis of noble estates. Currently, they are 60% represented by artificial plantations. Characterized by increased degradation, reduction of sanitary, decorative and recreational functions and need renovation. The relevance of the topic is due to the urgent need to improve the functioning of sanatorium Park areas in modern conditions by enriching the range with the justification of their spatial location and landscape and aesthetic value. The purpose of the research is to substantiate measures for the renovation and optimization of green spaces of sanatorium parks on the basis of their comprehensive assessment in modern conditions. It is revealed that the repetition of dry years, urban ecological conditions of sanatorium parks limit the effective functioning of green spaces. The highest percentage of plantings belongs to the second and third classes of stability. Healthy trees in the second class are from 71 to 90%. In the green spaces of the third class of sustainability there are processes of degradation due to age categories. On the basis of the inventory it was found that the area of green spaces of artificial and natural origin of health resorts of the Voronezh region varies significantly. Green plantations of artificial origin grow in the sanatorium. Gorky (area of 9.6 hectares; age up to 88 years). Forests of natural origin in sanatoria. Dzerzhinsky, "Uglyanets", them. Tsyurupy, the rest house "Petrovsky" make from 45,4 to 66,8% of Park territories. The share of participation of deciduous tree species is about 70%. On the territories of the sanatorium. Dzerzhinsky and the rest house "Petrovsky" forested landscapes include forests with predominance of Quercus robur (9Д1Кл). For the forest parks of the health resorts of the forest-steppe zone the General tendency of reduction of volume of crowns in connection with deterioration of the condition of vegetation caused by age is noted. (24376000 m3 – 97985110 m3). To enhance the recreational effect requires a significant increase in the share of decorative shrubs. In the total volume occupied by the canopy of plants at the present time it is insignificant – less than 1 %. It is recommended to introduce bushes into green plantings to optimize the spatial structure and increase the landscape and aesthetic attractiveness of sanatorium parks. Since the predominance of enclosed spaces in existing plantations of health resorts (more than 50 %) leads to monotony in the composition. The system of open (7-25), half-open (32-47%) will lead to the formation of appropriate recreational purposes and functions of plantations. To comply with the functions of the medical and health institution, taking into account regulatory documents, an increase in the area (by 20%) of the quiet recreation area is provided. On the basis of a comprehensive assessment of green areas of health resorts, taking into account the species diversity and types of landings, the classification of spatial organization is developed. The sanitary-hygienic and recreational potential, principles of selection and the range of decorative trees and bushes for renovation of sanatorium parks in the forest-steppe zone are defined. The rules of measures for the reconstruction of green spaces of Park areas of medical and health institutions are established.

Abstract:
Cultural ecosystem service has been a raising field since 2010. While interdisciplinary research teams investigate cultural ecosystem services via humanity lenses, most CES studies focus on mono-cultural settings. The study compares the Taiwanese Han-culture waterfront recreational patterns to the Ames tribal aqua-cultural habitat patterns. It suggests the community participatory mechanisms for re-vision the Danshui River ecosystems. It argues that the river ecosystem could support cross-cultural lifestyles for Ames tribes if the government officials and design-planning professions could alter their approaches of waterfront planning, design, and governance. The research sheds the light on multi-cultural environments in our global world.
