Abstract:
Fibroadenomas of the breast are benign fibroepithelial tumours most frequently encountered in women of reproductive age, although they may be diagnosed at any age. The fibroadenoma comprises a proliferation of both stromal and epithelial components. The mechanisms underlying fibroadenoma pathogenesis remain incompletely understood. In the clinical setting, distinguishing cellular fibroadenomas from benign phyllodes tumours is a common diagnostic challenge due to subjective histopathological criteria and interobserver differences. Recent sequencing studies have demonstrated the presence of high

Vulvar fibroadenoma is an ectopic mammary-like fibroepithelial tumor of undetermined pathogenesis. Surgery is usually the primary option of treatment for this condition. Recurrent vulvar fibroadenoma is a rare clinical condition, and it has therapeutic challenges for surgeons and pathologists. Three cases of recurrent vulvar fibroadenoma were reviewed and studied (at 25, 39, and 18 years old for each case). We summarize and report our clinical experience on recurrent vulvar fibroadenoma. All patients were surgically managed with a satisfactory outcome and were followed up for at least 6 months

Abstract Fibroepithelial lesions are uncommon in the male breast. Most published reports describe phyllodes tumors. Fibroadenomas are very common in female breasts, but are exceedingly rare in the male breast. Gynecomastia and/or lobular differentiation have been known to coexist in both types of fibroepithelial lesions in men. We report an exceptional case of recurrent, bilateral fibroadenomas in a man under treatment for prostatic carcinoma. Intracytoplasmic inclusion bodies in stromal cells identical to those seen in infantile digital fibromatosis were identified in one fibroadenoma. To the

Vacuum-assisted aspiration biopsy (VAB) has been in use for over 20 years. It is an accurate and safe procedure with a sensitivity of 97 %, specificity of 100 %, and accuracy of 99 %. VAB is used for the evaluation of nonpalpable tumors suspicious for breast cancer. Since 2000, VAB is widely used as a therapeutic method for total biopsy or resection of benign breast tumors (breast fibroadenoma, recurrent cysts, and intraductal or intracyctic hyperplasia). Many authors consider VAB as an alternative to standard surgery. VAB demonstrates good results in the minimally invasive treatment of nodula

Phylloides tumor (PT) is a rare fibro epithelial neoplasm comprising <1% of all breast tumors. Clinical spectrum ranges from benign (B), borderline (BL), and locally recurrent to malignant (M) and metastatic type. Phylloides tumors originate from the connective tissue of the breast, so the malignant phylloides are histologically sarcomas. We are reporting a massive phylloides tumor in a 45 years old female. She presented with a huge breast mass occupying almost the whole of the right breast with two areas of pressure necrosis, on the overlying skin. She noticed a small lump 7 months ago in

Abstract:
Breast Lumps are not a common occurrence in paediatric patients. When encountered, they call for a thorough workup and meticulous treatment plan. Like in adults, fibroadenomas can be seen in children. These are termed 'juvenile fibroadenomas'. When these are larger than 5cm or weigh more than 500gm, they can be called 'giant juvenile fibroadenomas'. These comprise 1-8% of breast lumps in adolescent population. We report here a case of a 10 years old girl who presented with a rapidly growing unilateral breast lump which provided a diagnostic dielemma but was diagnosed as giant juvenile fibroade

Abstract:
Breast fibroadenomas account for approximately 25% of all lesions in asymptomatic women, resulting in large health care costs every year. There are 3 different variations of the disease: simple, juvenile giant and multiple. Patients may have different management and treatment options available to them depending on which variation they have. Of particular interest are female adolescents, who are at most risk for developing these lesions. With this age group not only is it important to pursue options that are minimally invasive and effective, but there are psychosocial implications to consider r
