One of the main features of first-order recurrent equations y(x + Dx) = ay(x) + b (Dx = const) is that they lead to a linear form of various monotonic functional dependencies, including chemical variables. Such unique capabilities of recurrent relations are due to the fact that they combine the properties of arithmetic and geometric progressions, and this explains the possibility of linearisation of various retention time dependencies, both in gas and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Examples of the use of recurrent relations to characterize the dependence of analyte retention ti

In this study, we explore the generalization of Wely’s projective curvature tensor \(W_{jkh}^i\) satisfying a specific recurrence relation (3.1), which defines a generalized W-recurrent space, denoted as G2nd W|h - BRFn . By investigating the conditions under which this tensor satisfies the generalized recurrence relations, we define and analyze the properties of generalized W-recurrent, birecurrent, and Ricci tensors in the context of second-order covariant derivatives. We derive a series of equations that describe the behavior of these tensors, including the covariant derivative expressions

Although the Caribbean's Small Island Developing States (SIDS) minimally contribute to global greenhouse gas emissions, they face disproportionate climate risks and are particularly susceptible to systemic economic threats posed by climate change and subsequent increases in climate variability. Historically, strategic programs and investments have sought to develop more robust and adaptive engineered systems to absorb climate threats. However, such initiatives are limited and under-resourced in the SIDS’ context. This article reviews existing climate strategies in the Caribbean and then critic

Abstract:
Many see armed conflict in Syria as a flashpoint for international law. The situation raises numerous unsettling questions, not least concerning normative foundations of the contemporary collective-security and human-security systems, including the following: Amid recurring reports of attacks directed against civilian populations and hospitals with seeming impunity, what loss of legitimacy might law suffer? May—and should—states forcibly intervene to prevent (more) chemical-weapons attacks? If the government of Syria is considered unwilling or unable to obviate terrorist threats from spilling

Abstract:
The accelerating Arctic cryosphere decline severely impacts the land on which northern communities live through the presence of coastal and marine geohazards and coastal erosion, which further places the cultural heritage of coastal archaeological sites at risks. Sea ice decline also compromises the formation of polynyas, with unknown consequences for the regional ecosystems. From the 10th to the 18th of July 2022, a scientific cruise onboard the research vessel William-Kennedy allowed the collection of a suite of samples and data from the marine coastal environment of Nain, Nunatsiavut. Abstract:
Project Objectives 1. Develop and amplify two interspecific populations (annual and perennial teosintes x elite maize inbred) as the basis for genetic analysis of grain quality. 2. Identify quantitative trait loci (QTLs) from teosinte that improve oil, protein, and essential amino acid composition of maize grain. 3. Develop near isogenic lines (NILs) to quantify QTL contributions to grain quality and as a resource for future breeding and gene cloning efforts. 4. Analyze the contribution of these QTLs to hybrid performance in both the US and Israel. 5. Measure the yield potential of improved gr
