In order to investigate the influence of recycling agent composition on the recycling effect of aged asphalt in the cold recycling process, the design and optimization of cold recycling agent composition were performed through the central composite design-response surface method combined with the dynamic shear rheometer (DSR) test and the bending beam rheometer (BBR) test. The molecular weight distribution and component changes in aged asphalt before and after the addition of a cold recycling agent were also analyzed by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and hydrogen-flame ionization test. In this paper, the ageing degree of recovered asphalt collected from old asphalt mixture is firstly estimated by comparing with virgin asphalt. Then, two kinds of different recycling agents are selected to mix with recovered asphalt. The influence of recycling agent type and content on regenerated asphalt performance is then studied. The results show serious condition of ageing and high viscosity of waste asphalt. As the recycling agent content increasing, the asphaltene and resin content of regenerated asphalt reduced, the aromatics content increased, while the saturate content showed a small

Due to these crucial problems, the increasing number of rubber-based products worldwide will lead to environmental hazards. These questions are of more significance to industrial cooling water systems which typically have higher temperatures and cooling ranges than they are to comfort cooling systems. When applying ozone to cooling water systems, it is very important for the user to understand many fundamental aspects of ozone chemistry. For example, when ozone is added at water pH levels often encountered in cooling waters (8 and higher), it decomposes to form hydroxyl free radicals, whi

Abstract:
Cold in-place recycling (CIR) involves the recycling of the asphalt portions (including hot-mix asphalt and chip, slurry, and cape seals, as well as others) of a flexible or composite pavement with asphalt emulsion or foamed asphalt as the binding agent. Full-depth reclamation (FDR) includes the recycling of the entire depth of the pavement and, in some cases, a portion of the subgrade with asphalt, cement, or lime products as binding agents. Both processes are extensively utilized in Illinois. This project reviewed CIR and FDR projects identified by the Illinois Department of Transportation (
