Abstract:
The aim of our study was to monitor changes in individual components of body composition due to reduction in body weight in judo. This precontest weight reduction is very common in combat sports and it can have negative impact not only on performance but also on health. Research group consisted of 11 judoists at the age of 17-27 years belonging to the representation of the Czech Republic. The measurement of body composition had two parts; the first was before body weight reduction and the second part at the end of body weight reduction. For the measurement of body composition we used multifrequency bioimpedance analyzer BIA 2000 - M. The results of our study show that rapid intensive weight reduction is reflected in varying degrees in all parameters of body composition. We noticed a reduction of body weight by an average of 4.7% (approximately 3.8 kg), the weight loss ranged from 1.6 kg to 8.1 kg. The greatest changes in the parameters of body composition were detected in the extracellular water (ECW), there was a decrease of this parameter on average by 13.8 %, while total body water (TBW) decreased by 6.0 %. There was also a reduction in the amount of body fat by 13.2 %, the amount of extracellular mass (ECM) decreased by 9.8 %, the ratio of ECM/BCM by 8.9 % and the amount of fat-free mass (FFM) decreased by 4.0 %. Only in intracellular water (ICW), we noticed a slight increase by 1.4 %, which may be due to the redistribution of body fluids. Changes of particular parameters of body composition were statistically and substantively significant.

Abstract:
The object of study in present diploma thesis is the plasmachemical reduction of corrosion layers on copper. This process is based on reductive properties of low pressure hydrogen plasma. In this case three series of copper samples were prepared and corroded in different corrosion environments in order to create three kinds of artificial corrosion layers. In the first step the copper coupons were properly grinded in order to achieve a defined surface roughness. In the next step the coupons corroded for 12 days in vapours of three concentrated acids – HCl, HNO3, and H2SO4. SEM/EDX analysis was carried out in order to characterise the grown corrosion layers on copper coupons, which showed us the presence of nitrogen, oxygen, chlorine and sulphur in different chemical forms in corrosion layers. The most significant part of this work was the plasmachemical treatment of corroded copper samples. Pure hydrogen was used as a reaction gas under the pressure of about 200 Pa and 50scc/m flow rate. The discharge was generated in quartz-glass reactor by using RF generator under the different power and mode settings. Optical emission spectroscopy was used to detect the intensity of plasma radiation. The value of integral intensity of OH radicals represented quantitative ablation of oxygen from a corrosion layer. OH radicals were the main products of reaction between hydrogen radicals (from plasma) and oxygen in corrosion layer. Time of increasing of OH radicals intensity was different for coupons from different corrosion environment and was also related to used power of generator and mode. The process was finished when the OH radicals intensity decreased to 10% of reached maximum. Sample temperature was an important indicator of sample protection against metallographic changes. The analyses XRD and SEM/EDX on corroded and treatment samples were performed. The analyses show that the decrease of main corrosion agents as chlorine and oxygen was achieved by hydrogen plasma treatment. The corrosions as well as their removal are a very complex problem and the plasmachemical treatment of metal objects is an efficient method for the removal of corrosion layers as compared to conventional conservations methods mainly due to a significant reduction of treatment time.

Abstract:
The present diploma thesis concerns the research of plasmachemical reduction of copper corrosion layers. The process was based on using low pressure hydrogen RF plasma in which copper samples are treated for several hours. Four series of copper corrosion layers were prepared in four different corrosion atmospheres. The first two were prepared using saturated vapors of HCl and ammonium acetate that affected copper samples for one week. The second two sets were prepared by samples dipping in HNO3 and H2SO4. EDX analysis confirms visual composition of corrosion layers – chlorides, nitrides and sulphate, respectively. The ammonium acetate produced no corrosion layers and thus this set of samples was omitted. The optical emission spectroscopy was used to find out reactions in a hydrogen RF discharge. At the first, a character of plasma without samples was taken by measuring in continuous and pulsed regime. The integral spectrum intensity (300-700 nm) and intensities of hydrogen atomic lines were observed in the dependences on hydrogen flow, power and duty cycle. After that copper samples were treaded under various conditions in continual and pulse regime, typically at pressure of 170 Pa, 200 W power and hydrogen flow rate of 10.2 ml/min. The integral OH radical spectral intensity in the range of 305 – 330 nm was used as a monitor of plasma treatment process. The experimental results showed that intensities of OH radical depended strongly on the corrosion layer kind as well as on the RF discharge mode. Reduction of corrosion layers treated in the pulsed regime was not so satisfactory then in the continuous regime probably due to lower temperature of sample during the treatment. The total supplied energy into the system was also lower in this case. The sample sputtering was observed during the reduction in continuous regime. It means the corrosion was successfully removed but the process was not stopped at that moment, so it is necessary to propose another additional monitoring process besides observing OH radicals. Our experimental results are the first step in the spread research of plasmachemical treatment of copper made archaeological artifacts.

Abstract:
The application of low-pressure low-temperature hydrogen plasma on artificial corrosion layers on bronze has been studied. For this purpose, three sets of bronze corroded samples were prepared. The first step of the model sample preparation was grinding of the bronze surface by using emery with 60, then 280 and finally by 600 grains density, in order to achieve the defined surface roughness. The next step of the work were optical and scanning electron microscopy observations with energy dispersive X-ray micro analysis (SEM-EDX) of the prepared bronze sample for purpose of surface structure characterization and element composition determination. Bronze samples with defined surface structure were corroded in different corrosion atmospheres. Three different model corrosion layers were formed by acidic atmospheres of hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and sulphuric acid. The element composition and structure of corrosion layer was determined by SEM-EDX again. The different amounts of oxygen, nitrogen, chlorine, sulfur, copper, tin and lead in the corrosion layer according to different types of corrosion atmospheres were determined. The next and also main part of the work was a plasma chemical reduction of corroded samples. The plasma reactor used the RF discharge (13.56 MHz) created in quartz tube with outer electrodes. The generation of capacitively coupled plasma in continuous or pulse mode by different supplied power was carried out. The plasma radiation emitted from the RF discharge during the sample treatment was measured by optical emission spectroscopy. The quantity of OH radical created in an active discharge by reactions of atomic hydrogen with the corrosion layer is a significant indicator of a reduction process. Therefore the OH radical band integral intensities observed as a function of the treatment time were used as a monitor for plasma chemical reduction process. The OH emission showed different behavior depending on corrosion layer composition during the plasma treatment. The transformations of the corrosion layer due to the plasma effect were investigated by means of SEM-EDX once again. Changes in the element composition of corrosion (or surface) layers in consequence of plasma chemical treatment are given. Generally, the element composition after the plasma chemical treatment showed explicitly that oxygen and chlorine content in the corrosion layer decreased, nitrogen was removed totally. Metal deposition on the reactor wall was observed occasionally. The SEM-EDX analyzes also showed that in some cases the tin content in sample surface layers was significantly decreased. For that reason, in case of bronze sample (artifacts) treatment, the sample and plasma temperature seem to be very important parameters for the process optimization. The acceptable conditions for plasma chemical treatment has been found in case of corrosion layer formed by nitric acid, only. The other corrosions will be a subject of further studies.

Abstract:
Nowadays, the use of credit scoring models in the financial sector is a common practice. Credit scoring plays an important role in profitability and transparency of lending business. Given the high credit volumes, even a small improvement of discriminatory and predictive power of a credit scoring model may provide a substantial additional profit. Scoring models are applied on the through-the-door population, however, for creating them or adjusting already existing credit rules, it is usual to use only the data corresponding to accepted applicants for which payment discipline can be observed. This discrepancy can lead to reject bias (or selection bias in general). Methods trying to eliminate or reduce this phenomenon are known by the term reject inference. In general, these methods try to assess the behavior of rejected applicants or to obtain an additional information about them. In the dissertation thesis, I dealt with the enlargement method which is based on a random acceptance of applicants that would have been rejected. This method is not only time consuming but also expensive. Therefore I looked for the ways how to reduce the cost of acquiring additional information about rejected applicants. As a result, I have proposed a modification which I called the enlargement method with sorting variable. It was validated on real bank database with two possible sorting variables and the results were compared with the original version of the method. It was shown that both tested approaches can reduce its cost while retaining the accuracy of the scoring models.

Abstract:
Present work deals with reducing secondary losses in turbine cascade by using boundary layer fences in two ways. Firstly, to reduce the strength of vortex which is incident at the leading edge of airfoil and hence reduce the strength of horse shoe vortex, and secondly, to reduce the pressure gradient between the pressure side and the suction side in the flow passage region between airfoils. In previous works, the boundary layer fence followed the profile of airfoil. In this publication, boundary layer fence does not follow the profile of airfoil i.e stagger and camber of boundary fence is different when compared to airfoil. A profiled boundary layer fence is proposed in the present work which reduces the incident vorticity and also reduces pressure gradient from pressure side to suction side. Such boundary layer fence was checked on T106 test cascade which is available as open literature. Numerical work is carried out using commercial software Ansys CFX. Viscous RANS simulations are carried out using k-ω SST turbulence model with yplus value around unity on all walls. Coefficient of secondary kinetic energy (CSKE) and Secondary Kinetic energy helicity (SKEH) are used as target functions. Total pressure loss is also monitored. All the three functions show a reduction in secondary loss. The strength of horse shoe vortex is reduced by the fence protruding in front of leading edge. The converging flow passage created by the fence near the pressure side of airfoil reduces the pressure gradient from pressure side to suction side. The total pressure loss was reduced by 1.5 % and CSKE was improved by 36 % when the boundary layer fence was adopted.
