Abstract:
A method has been developed for the oxidation of regenerated cellulose (viscose) in the HNO3–H3PO4–NaNO2 system, which makes it possible to obtain oxidized regenerated cellulose with a COOH group content of 18–24% in powder form, which meets USP quality requirements, which allows its use as a biodegradable hemostatic material. The structure of oxidized regenerated celluloses with different contents of COOH groups was confirmed by IR spectroscopy and elemental analysis; the structure of the samples and their thermal stability were studied by X-ray diffraction and thermogravimetric (TG) analyses

Abstract:
Capsular contracture is the most common complication of breast augmentation. Oxidized regenerated cellulose can be used as a matrix for drug transport. Colchicine is an antimitotic drug that interferes with various steps of wound healing. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of oxidized regenerated cellulose alone or in combination with colchicine on capsular contracture. Twenty-one adult female Wistar-Albino rats were divided into 3 groups. In group 1 silicone blocks only, in group 2 oxidized regenerated cellulose-wrapped silicone blocks, and in group 3 colchicine-impregnated oxi

Ideally, alloplastic dural substitute should have functional properties resembling human dura mater and retain a watertight closure to prevent cerebrospinal leakage. Therefore, functional properties for successful dural closure application of newly developed bilayer oxidized regenerated cellulose knitted fabric/poly ε-caprolactone knitted fabric-reinforced composites were studied and compared with human cadaveric dura mater and three commercial dural substitutes including two collagen matrices and one synthetic poly-L-lactide patch. It was found that oxidized regenerated cellulose knitted fabr

碩士
國立臺灣科技大學
化學工程系
100
Oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC) containing rich carboxyl groups is an important class of bioabsorbable and hemostatic polymer. ORC can be used as biomaterials to stop bleeding during surgery and prevent the formation of post-surgical adhesions. Commercially, OC is produced by oxidizing regenerated cellulose with nitrogen dioxide(NO2) or HNO3/H3PO4-NaNO2. Recently, TEMPO (2,2,6,6 – Tetramethyl piperidine-1-oxyl radical), water-soluble and stable nitroxyl radicals, has been extensively utilized in catalytic oxidation for selective and effective conversion o

Abstract:
Regenerated cellulose films were laminated with polyvinylamine, PVAm, and the wet peel delamination forces were used to explore the mechanism by which PVAm increases the wet strength of paper. Conventional wet strength resins contain highly reactive chemical groups which can crosslink the resin and graft it to fibre surfaces. By contrast, it is not obvious how PVAm provides wet strength. The delamination experiments revealed that PVAm gives strong adhesion which was approximately independent of drying temperature (23 to 110°C), pH 3 to 9, PVAm molecular weight (34,000 to 1,500,000Da), and PVAm
