Abstract:
In autologous stem cell therapy, cell characteristics determine the potency of stem cells for regeneration. Aging and ischemia are two factors that are often neglected in pre-clinical tests for stem cell therapy. Here, we characterized cardiac explant-derived cells (EDCs) with a focus on distinguishing the effect of age and ischemia and then we looked for the effects of the combination of the two factors. We observed that ischemia worsens the age effect on EDCs. EDCs that were derived from aged mice with a history of myocardial infarction showed the highest number of senescent cells with dysre

Abstract:
AbstractA novel intralesional cryosurgical needle is inserted into the hypertrophic scars and keloid (HSK). It is connected to a canister of liquid nitrogen, which causes the cryoprobe to freeze, thereby freezing the HSK from inside out.Following the cryo-treatment, the histomorphometric analysis demonstrated rejuvenation of the treated scar. The frozen tissue was devoid of proliferating cells and of mast cells whereas the number of blood vessels remained unaltered. The surface thermal history showed slow cooling and thawing rates as well as less pronounced end temperature, which is “friendly”

Abstract: Aging is a physiological phenomenon associated with the gradual decline of multisystem function at the cellular level. Musculoskeletal and neurological disorders are the most common conditions among the geriatric age group due to degenerative changes. According to Ayurveda, Vata dosha is the most prominent dosha in old age, and vitiation of Vata is the main causative factor for most disorders in the geriatric age. Ayurveda emphasizes a set of five therapies, probably for detoxification, purification, and rejuvenation purposes, known as Panchakarma. Among all five unique therapies, Ba

Abstract Chemical enhanced oil recovery offers the huge benefit to reduce the carbon footprint in oil production. Mature oil fields with existing infrastructure can be turned into fields with higher productivity. Thereby, costly exploration of new fields can be avoided. The rejuvenation of mature oil fields can be achieved by surfactant flooding. Well-designed surfactants can reduce the tension between crude oil and water to ultralow values and thereby mobilize physically trapped oil. With respect to fields of high salinity and elevated temperature, it is particularly challenging to match the

Abstract Efficiently designed gel treatments play a vital role in extending the lifespan of brownfields through rejuvenating oil production. Recently, a three-mode mathematical methodology named the VCR approach has been proposed for designing effective treatments. To optimize this approach, it is crucial to determine the appropriate design mode systematically rather than relying solely on the intuitive judgments of field operators. This study introduces an advanced methodology for predicting the optimal design type of gel treatments using 12 reservoir and production variables. The methodology
