Abstract:
A fully relational quantum theory necessarily requires an account of changes of quantum reference frames, where quantum reference frames are quantum systems relative to which other systems are described. By introducing a relational formalism which identifies coordinate systems with elements of a symmetry group G, we define a general operator for reversibly changing between quantum reference frames associated to a group G. This generalises the known operator for translations and boosts to arbitrary finite and locally compact groups, including non-Abelian groups. We show under which conditions one can uniquely assign coordinate choices to physical systems (to form reference frames) and how to reversibly transform between them, providing transformations between coordinate systems which are `in a superposition' of other coordinate systems. We obtain the change of quantum reference frame from the principles of relational physics and of coherent change of reference frame. We prove a theorem stating that the change of quantum reference frame consistent with these principles is unitary if and only if the reference systems carry the left and right regular representations of G. We also define irreversible changes of reference frame for classical and quantum systems in the case where the symmetry group G is a semi-direct product G=N⋊P or a direct product G=N×P, providing multiple examples of both reversible and irreversible changes of quantum reference system along the way. Finally, we apply the relational formalism and changes of reference frame developed in this work to the Wigner's friend scenario, finding similar conclusions to those in relational quantum mechanics using an explicit change of reference frame as opposed to indirect reasoning using measurement operators.

Abstract:
Does the frame in which a picture appears become incorporated with our mental representation or memory for the picture? In five experiments, participants were shown several colored drawings, each set in a unique frame, and then later were given an unexpected memory test for the drawings and frames. Participants who initially performed a task that focused their attention on the drawings alone (rating the pleasingness or visual complexity of the drawings) were unable to correctly identify the frames as same or different at above chance levels. In contrast, participants who initially performed a task that focused attention on the drawings in relation to the frames (rating the suitability of the frames for the drawings, or the darkness of the drawings compared to the frames), showed significantly greater than chance frame identifications. Relational or interactive encoding of a picture and its frame is critical for memory of picture frames.

Abstract:
Abstract. Throughout much of the past century psychologists have focused their attention on a seemingly simple question: How do people come to like or dislike stimuli in the environment? Evaluative Conditioning (EC) – a change in liking due to the pairing of stimuli – has been offered as one avenue through which novel preferences may be formed and existing ones altered. In the current article, we offer a new look at EC from the perspective of Contextual Behavioral Science (CBS) and, more specifically, Relational Frame Theory (RFT). We briefly review the EC literature, introduce Contextual Behavioral Science (CBS), Relational Frame Theory (RFT), and then describe a behavioral phenomenon known as arbitrarily applicable relational responding (AARR). Afterwards, we examine the relationship between EC and AARR. This novel perspective offers ways to organize existing as well as predict new EC effects, contributes to debates on “genuine” EC, human versus nonhuman EC, and further facilitates the development and refinement of cognitive theories of EC.

Abstract:
The postmodernist material cause of the schema of Crossbones implies an innovative method and a meta-cognition realm within postcolonial system of proposition and metadata, involves a new approach of intellection in the perspective relational values and relational frame theory stand as a dimensionality of understanding and a generative and transformative reality. Through an object program and a normative functionalism, Farah installs a psycho-functionalist perspective in the run to transcend the realm of ethnocentrism and relegio-politico social theory concerning the domain of formal conception and perception of relationalism. This persistence relates to an alternative understanding, a modality and property differentiation concerning the relational aesthetic and the status quo of the Be-ing, and a transformative reform about human intellect prerequisites and requests. in this dynamic of social practice and evidence-based practice, the relational aesthetic theory within Farah evolves his docufiction, define a method of linguistic performance and a relational expression that focuses on a conceivable representation of truth and experience.

Abstract:
Margaret S. Archer and Pierpaolo Donati have independently developed relational approaches in the social sciences. Combining morphogenetic theory and the relational theory of society opens up new research perspectives. This article attempts to investigate relational conceptions of culture by answering two questions: one related to the nature of culture and the other to the place of culture in relational sociology. Assuming the complementarity of the theories of both sociologists, the possibility that their conceptions may be inconsistent or even contradict each other is not discounted. The article discusses the issue of symbolization and the presence of processes of semiosis within relational sociology. It is argued that apart from the Cultural System and the Socio-Cultural interaction assumed by Archer’s analytical dualism, a more general category of Cultural Reality can be introduced. This theme is further discussed in the light of Donati’s views on human reality; he postulates including the relational frame of symbolization. Analysis shows that culture occupies a central place in relational sociology. This article exposes the complexity of the nature of culture in human reality.

Abstract:
Abstract Previous research on the Linguistic Landscapes of Chinatowns has highlighted the perceptions and experiences of long-term residents (Lou, 2009, 2016; Amos, 2016). To explore Chinatown in the eyes of newly arrived migrants, this paper presents a study of the Linguistic Landscape of the Triangle de Choisy, the Chinatown in Paris. Drawing upon Scollon and Scollon’s geosemiotic framework (2003) and Augé’s place theory (1995), it analyzes 130 photographs of the field and four interviews with newly arrived Chinese migrants. It is found that the Linguistic Landscape of the Chinatown constructs a coherent semiotic aggregate for the newcomers as an identifiable, relational, and historical transnational space that helps to orient them in a new country. Thus, this study illustrates how the Linguistic Landscape of Chinatown could serve as structured and structuring discursive frame (Coupland & Garrett, 2010) in the lives of new migrants.

Abstract:
China is an extremely complex and “insider-controlled” market for foreign businesses. This study offers a yin-yang balancing perspective of international exchange relationships in China. The authors investigate how “relational gatekeepers” play a key role in achieving a dynamic balance between Western companies and local partners in international exchange relationships. In-depth interviews are conducted with 41 business managers based in China, Australia, and New Zealand. Guided by the yin-yang balancing frame, the authors develop four key constructs of relational gatekeeping: the gatekeeper resources of mianzi (insider status) and renqing (insider favor) and the gatekeeper capabilities of zao shi (creating favorable momentum) and ying shi (leveraging favorable momentum). The yin-yang frame provides a process view of business relationships that accepts paradoxical conditions and embraces dynamic network momentum, resources, and capabilities. The study concludes by showing the theoretical implications for network theory and for the field of dynamic balancing and suggests the managerial implications for an international company aiming to engage relational gatekeepers to break into insider (guanxi)-controlled local business networks.
