Abstract:
Tendon is a highly specialized, hierarchical tissue designed to transfer forces from muscle to bone; complex viscoelastic and anisotropic behaviors have been extensively characterized for specific subsets of tendons. Reported mechanical data consistently show a pseudoelastic, stress-vs.-strain behavior with a linear slope after an initial toe region. Many studies report a linear, elastic modulus, or Young's modulus (hereafter called elastic modulus) and ultimate stress for their tendon specimens. Individually, these studies are unable to provide a broader, interstudy understanding of tendon me

Abstract:
This study aims to find out the causes of poor conflict resolution which can determine the rate of marriage failure and divorce. It is a descriptive research that lays emphasis on survey method. Purposive sampling procedure has been employed to cover the area of study with data obtained from 386 married respondents. Findings reveal that relationship failure and divorce is high. The study identifies that the absence of positive and supportive communication, lack of close interpersonal communication, absence of interest, affection, gratitude and apologies communication, lack of dialogic communic

This paper presents methods of dependability assessment and safety of aeronautical engineering selected from scientific achievements of the Air Force Institute of Technology. Studying dependability and safety was preceded by the implementation of the computer system used for the support of the operational process and consisting of the following modules: recording, database and module for processing of operational information. The processing system was provided with the developed models and assessment algorithms. The dependability and safety of military aircraft are assessed by registering defe

Abstract:
Failures of NTC thermistor are analyzed. Visual inspection, electrical parameter test, non-destructive test, and destructive physical analysis were performed on the field samples to identify the root cause of failure. It was found that the predominant failure mechanism was the copper migration of dumet (copper-clad alloy) at glass-PVC interface for glass-coated chip type NTC thermistor molded with PVC. Next, an accelerated life test is designed to predict the lifetime. Temperature, voltage, and humidity are considered as accelerating variables. Under the assumptions of a general life-stress re
