An American option is a type of option that can be exercised at any time up to its expiration. American options are generally hard to value, as there is no closed-form solution for the price of an American option. When there are multiple stochastic factors in the equation, the usual solution methods – binomial trees and finite difference approaches – become infeasible. The obstacles are interconnected, take both profit and cost yields into account, and switching is based on both sides of the balance sheet. Whereas the ecological crisis has elicited a response from many quarters of American Christianity, classical (or denominational) Pentecostals have expressed almost no concern about environmental problems. This study develops a framework for pricing output traits derived from agriculture biotechnology and the effects on competing technologies post-introduction of the genetically modified (GM) variety.
