Natural disasters are projected to increase in number and severity, in part due to climate change. At the same time a growing number of disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change adaptation measures are being implemented by governmental and non-governmental organizations, and substantial post-disaster donations are frequently pledged. At the same time there has been increasing demand for transparency and accountability, and thus evidence of those measures having a positive effect. About two-thirds of the world's population live in areas where registration of vital statistics is unsatisfactory (Tietze, 1977), and in many countries such statistics from rural areas are unavailable or grossly underestimated (WHO, 1971). Most of the women who die in pregnancy and childbirth are poor and live in remote areas or city slums. Their deaths are accorded little importance and fail to enter registers.

Abstract Recommendations for older adults to socially isolate during the COVID-19 pandemic will have lasting impacts on body weight and physical activity. Due to the pandemic, two in-person RCT weight-loss interventions in obese older adults with prediabetes, Veterans Achieving Weight Loss and Optimizing Resilience-Using Protein (VALOR-UP, n=12) and the Egg-Supplemented Pre-Diabetes Intervention Trial (EGGSPDITE, n=7), were converted to remote formats and weekly nutrition (EGGSPDITE and VALOR-UP) and exercise (VALOR-UP only) classes were delivered using synchronous videoconference technology (

Discharge planning is a systematic process that includes assessment, preparation, and coordination and involves various disciplines to provide optimal service. In Indonesia, there are 62 underdeveloped areas that have limitations in health services. Discharge planning in remote areas requires adaptation to be accepted in the community. This review aims to find an effective patient discharge strategy to be implemented in rural areas. Telepharmaceuticals and telerobots act as discharge planning interventions in remote areas. IntroductionSmoking rates among people living in rural and remote areas are higher and quit rates are lower over the past 10 years compared with people living in suburban and urban areas. Higher smoking rates contribute to greater tobacco-related disease and morbidity in rural and remote areas. Physical and social isolation, greater exposure to pro-tobacco marketing, pro-tobacco social norms, and lower socioeconomic and educational levels are contributing to these higher smoking rates and lower quit rates. Monitoring coastal regions is very important to protect the marine environment as a whole. Coastal erosion, sea level rise, coastal changes, flooding, and harmful algal blooms, are examples of challenges in coastal areas resulting from climate change. Furthermore, pollution from oil spills and agricultural activities that release large quantities of agrochemicals, organic matter, drug residues, sediments and saline drainage into coastal waters are further examples of coastal challenges and criticalities. All of these challenges require a high level of attention. Coastal monitoring through remo
