Des catalyseurs Pt/C pour piles à combustible ont été préparés par des méthodes colloïdales. Des études par ATG, ATG-SM, MET et DRX de 323 à 573 K ont été réalisées sous atmosphère oxydante et réductrice pour mimer les conditions de travail d'anodes et de cathodes de PEMFCs et pour accélérer le processus de vieillissement. Sous débit d'air, on observe peu d'agrégation et aucune fusion des particules, donc pas d'augmentation de Lv. Ceci est expliqué par la présence d'oxydes à la surface du platine. Sous atmosphère réductrice (H2 3%/He), l'agrégation des entités de platine et l'augmentation de Lv se produisent. Deux cinétiques de croissance de cristallites existent. De plus, le support carboné subit une dégradation par combustion sous air et reformage sous atmosphère réductrice. L'effet du traitement thermique sous atmosphères contrôlées sur la surface active et sur l'activité pour la réduction de l'oxygène et l'oxydation du CO a été évalué<br>Fuel cell Pt/C catalysts were prepared via different colloidal methods. TGA, TGAMS, TEM and XRD studies from 323 to 573 K were carried out under oxidative and reductive atmospheres to mimic fuel cell anode and cathode working conditions and to accelerate ageing process. Under air flow, little aggregation of platinum is observed, but no fusion and increase of Lv. This is explained by the presence of oxygen species on the platinum surface. Under reductive atmosphere (H2 3%/He), aggregation and increase of the mean crystallite size are observed. Two kinetics of grain growth process seem to exist. Moreover, the carbon support undergoes degradation by combustion under air and reforming under reductive atmosphere. The effect of thermal treatment under controlled atmospheres on the electrochemical active surface area and on the electrocatalytic activity towards oxygen reduction reaction and CO oxidation of the Pt/C catalyst were evaluated

Ce travail nait de la difficulte eprouvee par le lecteur potentiel a saisir, entre le relatif oubli et la profusion d'etiquettes, l'oeuvre de remy de gourmont. A cet embarras repond dans l'oeuvre un questionnement de l'identite, envisage ici a travers un corpus privilegiant la critique litteraire, afin de voir comment une ecriture qui construit un exercice de mediation, se nourrit d'un imaginairepersonnel. La premiere partie definit l'instance critique, ses modeles, ses fonctions. Mais le critique se concevant 1 comme createur, sa representation de l'ecrivain renvoie a ses propres interrogations. Il elabore une reflexion - et une reverie - sur le lien entre l'oeuvre et l'auteur, a travers une relecture du mythe de pygmalion. ! la deuxieme partie, s'interessant aux affinites de l'ecriturecritique avec l'ironie, examine les cibles et les formes d'une ironie active, ses figures emblematiques, et interroge les dessous de la methode gourmontienne, la dissociation des idees. Liberatrice, la demarche dissociative brise les cadres rassurants de la pensee commune, et finit pourtant par reveler une pensee de la mort. En lutte contre cette puissance de l'intelligence, se deploient dans l'oeuvre des espaces conciliateurs affirmant la vitalite du sentiment. L'analyse, dans la troisieme partie, de ces desirs d'unite, propose une interpretation de l'univers de la legende et du mythe de l'ecrivain. Elle invite a s'arreter sur deux textes, la physique de l'amour et une nuit au luxembourg, qui signent un deplacement de l'ecriture critique. La reflexion sur l'illusion mythique et la construction d'une mythologie personnelle y elaborent un equilibre entre sentiment et intelligence. Cette pensee de la dualite s'enracine au coeur du langage. La quatrieme partie voit se substituer aux figu♭ res de l'ecrivain et de l'oeuvre, celles de l'ecriture et de la lecture. Trois elements, la metaphore, le cliche et la citation, incarnent dans l'ecriture l'univers gourmontien du double et de la contradiction.

Avec les connaissances acquises et les expériences vécues, P. -J. Remy a construit à sa manière un monde à la fois réel et imaginaire, appelé par lui-même " petite comédie humaine ", dans laquelle il a tenté d'explorer des aventures individuelles et collectives, d'évoquer la nostalgie d'un passé, de montrer la passion pour la musique et l'art, ainsi que d'exprimer le désir et la nécessité d'écrire. La multiplicité et la diversité représentent des aspects typiques de son oeuvre. Il a dirigé de nombreux acteurs et figurants présentant des caractéristiques analogues, imprégnés de musique et d'art, hantés par un passé inoubliable, et sauvés par l'écriture. Tout autour d'un enjeu : l'homme et le monde ou l'homme et la création, J. -P. Remy voulait montrer l'existence humaine, dans laquelle ses personnages cherchent inlassablement à écrire et à poursuivre l'infini. Notre étude, ayant pour objet son univers romanesque, porte principalement sur des analyses thématiques, par lesquelles nous essayons de voir le mécanisme de sa création littéraire. Nous proposons trois voies d'accès privilégiée à cette oeuvre : le système des personnages et la représentation du monde, l'incarnation de la musique et de l'art, l'éternel retour dans le temps, l'espace et l'écriture<br>Trough hnowledge leant and experiences lived, P. -J Remy built in his own way a world both real and imaginary, called by him'self "little human comedy ", in which he tried to explore individual and common adventures, to evoke nostalgia for a past time, to show passion for music and art, and also to express desire and the necessity of writing. The multiplicity and the diversity have became the typical features of his works. He directed many actors and bit parts, who all looked similar, loved music and art, who were haunted by the unforgettable past and who were saved by writind. Always dealing with the same stake : Man and the World or Man and the Creation, P. -J. Remy tried to show the human existence, in which the characters cherchent inlassablement to write and to follow the infinity. Our study, having an objective his noveliotic universe, mainly deals with thematic analysis, from which we would try to look at the macanism of his literary creation. Therefore, we suggest three privileged approaches to his works : the system of characters and the representation of the world, music and art incarnation,the eternal return to time, space and writing

Une poétique interroge une pratique du discours, qui est le langage en fonctionnement situé. Dans cette perspective, nous nous demandons comment l’invention par Remy de Gourmont de son langage critique et poétique devient une valeur dans la littérature et la culture françaises. Remy de Gourmont est un sujet critique, qui ne perd jamais de vue sa double condition de Français et symboliste, laquelle n'est jamais une attitude de critique nationaliste ou partisane. Pour l'art comme désintéressement, pour la discussion immédiate ou ultérieure des idées, Remy de Gourmont invente, en faisant avancer la critique, le français et sa littérature ; sa méthode dissociative ayant pour principal enjeu de découvrir ou restaurer la valeur de l’effort littéraire en démontant les lieux communs et les stéréotypes qui empêchent de le voir. Cette critique nouvelle des idées, qui est chaque fois une invention du discours, est indissociable, dans sa pratique poétique même, d'une attention au symbolisme, et, chaque fois, à la langue. D'où un vers libre original ayant la capacité de faire voir et entendre ce que le poète fait au langage ordinaire, c’est-à-dire aux mots de tous les jours. Le poème devient ainsi un poste d’observation d’une historicité du langage. Il montre notamment un sentiment de la langue française, qui est cette poétique-même, et que Remy de Gourmont a d’abord créé, puis travaillé à rendre personnel et individuel, autant que l’art symboliste libre qui l’inclut dans la généralité des individualités discursives<br>Poetics questions a practice of the speech as a manner of language. From this point of view, we wonder how Remy de Gourmont's new critical and poetic language becomes a value in the french literature and culture. Remy de Gourmont, as an original critic, never loses sight of its double French and Symbolist condition, which is never a partisan or a nationalist attitude of criticism. Defending art as disinterestedness, exhibiting the immediate or later discussion of the ideas, Remy de Gourmont creates its dissociating method to put criticism, french and its literature forward. This critical principle has main purpose to discover or restore the value of the literary effort by seeking to reject the "lieux communs" and the "clichés" which cover it up. This new criticism of the ideas, which is always an invention of the discourse, is indissociable, in its poetic practice even, of an attention to the symbolism, and, each time, to the language. Hence, an original "vers libre" (symbolism free verse) having the capacity to make see and hear what the poet made with the ordinary language, that is to say with the usually words. Thus, the poem becomes an observation post of a historicity of the language. It shows in particular a feeling of the french language, which is this poetic-even, and which Remy de Gourmont initially created, then worked to make personal and individual, as much as the free art Symbolist which includes it in the mass of discursive individualities

Remy de Gourmont (1858-1915) apparaît comme le maître à penser de la génération symboliste dont les valeurs furent rapidement décriées au tournant du XXème siècle. Sans méconnaître l’importance de son œuvre critique, c’est toutefois dans son œuvre d’imagination que nous avons trouvé l’essentiel de son enseignement car elle nous révèle les principes d’une méthode cognitive spécifiquement littéraire et propre au Symbolisme, méthode qui rejoint dans ses tentatives la refonte épistémologique qui s’opère autour de 1900. Cet ouvrage étudie d’abord la critique du langage et des images qui se fait jour dans l’imagination verbale et les fictions de l’auteur. Dans un deuxième temps, c’est le problème de l’identité personnelle, à travers la symbolisation matérielle de la mémoire, des désirs et de la volonté, qui est envisagé. Enfin, les valeurs morales et intellectuelles véhiculées par les gestes de l’imagination que mime l’écriture ont été dégagées. Un exemple de l’utopie symboliste, qui crut à la possibilité d’une reconstruction à la fois multiple et totale, subjective et aléatoire du monde dans la chair et la forme des mots, leurs lacunes et leurs virtualités sémantiques, a ainsi pu être replacé dans le contexte intellectuel et artistique de la Belle Epoque<br>Remy de Gourmont (1858-1915) appears like the thinking master of the symbolist generation, whose values were rapidly denied in the dawn of the twentieth century. Without ignoring the importance of his critical works, we nevertheless found the heart of his teachings in his fantasy works, as they reveal the principles of a cognitive method specific to litterature and symbolism, and adding in its process to the epistemological revival at work in the early 1900s. This study would first dip into the critics of language and images that appear in the author’s fatasy and words-imagination. It will then face the question of personality through the concrete symbolism of memory, desire and will. And at last, it will try to sort out the moral and intellectual values conveyed by the postures of fantasy that writing mimics. In the intellectual and artistic context of the « Belle Epoque » such an instance of the symbolists’ utopia – believing the world could be wholly and diversely re-created, both through subjectivity and hazard, in flesh and form of words, in the lack as well as the many meanings they involve – has thus been relocated

This thesis shows that Remy de Gourmont (1858-1915) had a significant influence on the aesthetic evolution of literature at the beginning of the XXth century. He contributed to the crisis and the renewal of literary genres through a systematic subversion of traditional rules and through a research of new and mainly poetic forms. He worked out original aesthetics, based on symbolist theories, which inspired many authors such as Gide and Cendrars in France, D'Annunzio, Papini, and Soffici in Italy. Furthermore, the issue of form creation is directly linked to the development of little magazines between the end of the XIXth century and the beginning of the XXth century. These little magazines had a strong influence on literary creation and on the redefinition of literature. Gourmont actively contributed to them and theorized their function. His original work arises from this very particular literary practice<br>Cette thèse montre que Remy de Gourmont (1858-1915) a eu une influence importante sur les évolutions esthétiques du début du XXe siècle. Il a participé à la crise et au renouvellement des genres littéraires par une subversion systématique des règles traditionnelles et par une recherche de nouvelles formes avant tout poétiques. À partir des théories symbolistes, il élabore une esthétique originale qui inspirera de nombreux auteurs comme Gide ou Cendrars en France, D'Annunzio, Papini et Soffici en Italie. Par ailleurs, la problématique de la création de formes est liée au support particulier que constituent les petites revues littéraires à la fin du XIXe siècle et au début du XXe siècle et à leur influence sur la création littéraire et sur la redéfinition de la notion de littérature. Dans cette thèse, le sujet que nous avons souhaité traiter est celui de la représentation et des transfigurations de la ville étrangère dans l’écriture française. Nous avons ainsi choisi les œuvres de Pierre Loti, Victor Segalen, Pierre-Jean Remy et Suzanne Bernard, afin de pouvoir expliquer le sujet à l’aide d’exemples concrets, c’est-à-dire en analysant l’image de la ville de Pékin dans les œuvres françaises du XXe siècle. Au cours de cette étude, nous abordons en profondeur l'image de Pékin et en particulier son évolution historique chez les auteurs des différentes périodes que nous avons présentées. Nous étudions cette évolution de l’image de Pékin à partir de trois dimensions. La première dimension est celle de l'histoire citadine, ainsi que celle de sa présence dans le texte littéraire et de son influence sur la représentation. Il s'agit d’une approche plutôt géocritique qui examine les relations entre les espaces humains et la littérature. La deuxième dimension est celle du Pékin des signes. Nous étudierons les textes dans une optique imagologique, en nous focalisant sur la manière dont l’écrivain transcrit le réel, ainsi que sur la représentation de l’objet d’étude. Enfin, la troisième dimension porte sur l'évolution des formes et de l’écriture romanesques<br>In this thesis, the subject we wanted to discuss is that of the representation and transfigurations of the foreign city in French writing. We have chosen the works of Pierre Loti, Victor Segalen, Pierre-Jean Remy and Suzanne Bernard, in order to explain the subject with the help of concrete examples, that is to say by analyzing the image of the city of Beijing in different French works of the twentieth century. During this study, we take a deep look at the image of Beijing, and especially at its historical evolution, as described by the authors of the different periods that we have presented. We chose to study this evolution of Beijing's image from three dimensions. The first dimension is that of the city history, as well as that of its presence in the literary text and its influence on representation. This is a rather geocritical approach that examines the relationships between human spaces and literature. The second dimension is the Beijing signs’ dimension. We will study the texts according to an imagological perspective, focusing on how the writer transcribes reality, as well as on the representation of the object of study. <p> Algorithms, scripts for sequences of mathematical calculations or procedural steps, are powerful. Even though algorithms often outperform human judgment, people appear resistant to allowing a numerical formula to make decisions for them (Dawes, 1979). Nevertheless, people are increasingly dependent on algorithms to inform their decisions on a day-to-day basis. In eight experiments, I tested whether aversion to algorithms is as straightforward a story as past work suggests. The results shed light on the important questions of when people rely on algorithmic advice over advice from people and have implications for the use of algorithms within organizations.</p>

La ubicación del proyecto es esencial porque al estar en un medio natural ayuda a la alta concentración del deportista y permite que el deporte se realice con eficacia, el lugar elegido es la “albufera de medio mundo” que es una laguna de 7km de largo, y que es propicia para la práctica del remo porque cuenta con aguas tranquilas las cuales son muy importantes para llevar a cabo del deporte, cabe resaltar el medio tranquilo, natural y aislado de la ciudad ayuda a la plena concentración. Ante este entorno natural y de conservación se ha optado por una construcción sostenible que respete y tenga compromiso con el medio ambiente, este implica el uso eficiente de la energía solar y el tratamiento del agua, la orientación del edificio para aprovechar los vientos y tener ventilación cruzada, así como un sistema constructivo de madera elevado sobre el nivel del suelo para reducir el impacto y que perdure ante la acción del medio costero.<br>The project seeks to satisfy the needs of a high performance rowing athlete, for this it has essential areas for its development and training as a gym with areas for cardio (which includes remoegometros) and fitness, a residence, wellness and rehabilitation area as well as rowing tanks and the boat storage. It also has a terrace for visitors for events or days of competition. The location of the project is essential because being in a natural environment helps the high concentration of the athlete and allows the sport to be carried out effectively, the chosen place is the "Albufera de Medio Mundo" which is a lagoon of 7km long, and that is conducive to the practice of rowing because it has calm waters which are very important to carry out the sport, it is worth highlighting the quiet, natural and isolated environment of the city helps the full concentration. Un Centro de Alto Rendimiento para deportistas de Remo, el espacio y las instalaciones adecuadas para desarrollar de manera completa al deportista especializado, puede marcar la diferencia. Se ubica al lado del la Albufera de Medio Mundo, en Huacho, un espejo de agua natural de mas de 6 kilómetros de largo. El proyecto busca albergar a deportistas de élite de remo para que en él se lleven a cabo entrenamientos, temporadas de concentración y torneos. Preparada inicialmente para sua encenação em 1992 pela Escola de Teatro da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Chile, com direção de Alfredo Castro, estuda-se como a tradução e a encenação de Lear rey & mendigo são parte do próprio projeto antipoético parriano denominado antipoesia, ou, como essa obra sintetiza, conforme Raúl Zurita, a totalidade da proposta antipoética, ao mesmo tempo em que se configura como uma sorte de teoria geral dela. Despite rely-guarantee (RG) being a well-studied program logic established in the 1980s, it was not until recently that researchers realised that rely and guarantee conditions could be treated as independent programming constructs. This recent reformulation of RG paved the way to algebraic characterisations which have helped to better understand the difficulties that arise in the practical application of this development approach. The primary focus of this thesis is to provide automated tool support for a rely-guarantee refinement calculus proposed by Hayes et. al., where rely and guarantee are defined as independent commands. Our motivation is to investigate the application of an algebraic approach to derive concrete examples using this calculus. In the course of this thesis, we locate and fix a few issues involving the refinement language, its operational semantics and preexisting proofs. Moreover, we extend the refinement calculus of Hayes et. al. to cover indexed parallel composition, non-atomic evaluation of expressions within specifications, and assignment to indexed arrays. These extensions are illustrated via concrete examples. Special attention is given to design decisions that simplify the application of the mechanised theory. For example, we leave part of the design of the expression language on the hands of the user, at the cost of the requiring the user to define the notion of undefinedness for unary and binary operators; and we also formalise a notion of indexed parallelism that is parametric on the type of the indexes, this is done deliberately to simplify the formalisation of algorithms. Additionally, we use stratification to reduce the number of cases in in simulation proofs involving the operational semantics. Finally, we also use the algebra to discuss the role of types in program derivation.

However, there has been a great deal of speculation about these forecasts and especially the error associated with them. With the threat of an impending recession, it is important to know the reliability of forecasts during times leading up to recessions. More specifically, this study aims to see how the level of error associated with analyst earnings forecasts change leading up to recessions and whether or not they should be relied upon as heavily during these times.

Entre 1887 et 1895 paraît une série de romans qui relèvent de l’esthétique symboliste. Or, alors comme aujourd’hui, la critique minimise, voire rejette, le concept de roman symboliste. Sans soute est-il un objet paradoxal puisque, roman, il demeure tributaire du monde réaliste, alors que, symboliste, il rejette le récit au nom d’une immédiateté et d’une pureté de langage. Confronté à cette impasse théorique, comment le roman symboliste peut-il inscrire son originalité dans l’histoire littéraire ? C’est à quoi tente de répondre cette étude en proposant, dans le prolongement des différents regards portés sur le roman symboliste, un éclairage particulier du phénomène. A côté des tentatives de synthèse entre roman et poésie (Rodenbach, Poitevin ou Retté) E. Dujardin, A. Gide, R. De Gourmont et M. Schwob choisissent de faire œuvre des contradictions qui les habitent, et fondent un roman du roman qui relève le défi d’exploiter les obstacles théoriques au lieu de les éliminer, en les transformant en sujet littéraire, principalement par la mise en scène d’un écrivain symboliste au travail. Ce faisant, ces romans illustrent l’une des attitudes les plus représentatives du symbolisme : celle de « l’extrème conscience ». De Dujardin à Gide, ce sont donc les fondements de l’esthétique symboliste, et plus spécifiquement l’idéalisme, l’autonomie du langage, sa capacité à exprimer la pensée immédiate et l’élection d’une morale esthétique, qui se trouvent discutés et en partie remis en cause dans ces romans autocritiques. Este trabalho investiga sua trajetória ao longo de 4 décadas, concentrando-se nas suas atividades durante os anos 60, período em que compôs para filmes ligados ao projeto do cinema novo e de uma produção politicamente engajada. O foco do texto se deu na aderência de seu projeto musical a filmes cujo enredo exigia formas de diálogo entre música e narrativa distintas de sua formação, que se deu nomeadamente na tradição do cinema americano e na lógica do melodrama. Deste modo, investigou-se, em primeiro lugar, quais os caminhos que levaram um
profissional, identificado com um projeto de cinema - a chanchada - combatido elos artistas com os quais se associou na década de 60, a compor para estes filmes. Trötthet i trafiken är ett stort problem i samhället. Det är särskilt farligt att trött framföra tunga lastbilar i trafiken eftersom dessa fordon är stora och har ofta livsavgörande roller vid inblandning i trafikolyckor. För att angripa problemet har det i denna rapport studerats kring vilket sömnstadie som är lämpligast att vakna under, i syfte att vakna pigg och alert samt vilka typer av tekniker och metoder som är lämpliga för att portabelt kunna detektera Rapid-Eye-Movement. Tidigare arbeten och studier har gjorts som påvisar att uppväckning i REM-sömn är optimalt för att känna sig alert. De valda metoderna är baserade på varianter av väletablerade tekniker som används för identifiering av sömnsteg. Elektrookulografi används för att mäta ögonrörelser med hjälp av fyra elektroder som är placerade på huvudet. Kroppsrörelser upptäcks genom en accelerometer som fästs på armen. Pulsmätningar görs och används för att räkna ut pulsvariansen under sömnen. Målet är att skapa en prototyp som ska känna av när användaren är i REM-sömn och sedan väcka användaren. Detta arbete är uppdelat i två inbyggda system som görs mellan två olika examensarbeten. Resultatet blev tre sensorer som fungerar individuellt. På grund av tidsbrist och en längre felsökning blev prototypen inte färdigställd. Innan sensorerna kan tillämpas i en produkt krävs det att ytterligare tester genomförs under monitorering av en sömnspecialist.<br>Tiredness in traffic is a major problem in society. It is especially dangerous to drive heavy trucks when tired because these vehicles are large and often have vital roles when involved in traffic accidents. To address the problem, this degree project has studied which sleep stage is most appropriate to wake up during, in order to wake up sharp and alert, and what types of techniques and methods are suitable for portable detection of Rapid-Eye-Movement. Previous work and studies have been done which indicates that awakening during REM sleep is optimal for feeling alert. The chosen methods are based on variants of well-established techniques that are used to identify sleep stages. Electrooculography is used to measure eye movements using four electrodes placed on the head. Body movements are detected by an accelerometer attached to the arm. Pulse measurements are made and used to calculate the pulse variation during sleep. The goal is to create a prototype which will know when the user is in REM sleep and then wake the user up. This work is divided into two embedded systems that are made between two different degree projects. The result was three sensors that worked individually. Due to lack of time and a longer troubleshooting, the prototype was not completed. Before the sensors can be used in a product, additional tests are required under the supervision of a sleep specialist.

Previous issue date: 2011-07-28<br>Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior<br>The improper disposal of nitrogen in receiving water courses causes problems such as toxicity to living beings through the consumption of oxygen to meet the nitrogen demand, eutrophication and nitrate contamination of aquifers. For this reason it is often necessary to be carried out complementary treatment of wastewater to eliminate or reduce the concentration of this compound in the wastewater. The objective of this study is to evaluate the biological removal of nitrogen compounds using submerged aerated and anoxic filters as post-treatment of an anaerobic system, with low cost and innovative technology, which in previous studies has shown high removal efficiency of organic matter and great potential biological nitrogen compounds removal.
The simple design with perforated hoses for air distribution and filling with plastic parts proved to be very efficient in relation to organic matter removal and nitrification. The system presented, in the best stage, efficiency in converting ammonia to nitrate by 71%, and produced a final effluent concentration below 10 mg / L of NH3-N. In addition, carbon concentration was removed by 77%, producing final effluent with 24 mg/L COD. However, denitrification in anoxic filter was not effective even with the addition of an external carbon source. There was a reduction of up to 56% of nitrogen caused by the process of simultaneous nitrification and denitrification (SND).
The high voids space presented by this type of support material coupled with direct aeration of the sludge, allows the respiration of biomass retained between the endogenous phase, increased cell retention time and sludge retention capacity, producing a final effluent with turbidity less than 5 UT and total suspended solids around 5.0 mg/L<br>A disposi??o inadequada do nitrog?nio em corpos receptores gera problemas como: toxicidade para seres vivos; consumo de oxig?nio do meio para atender a demanda nitrogenada; eutrofiza??o; e contamina??o dos aqu?feros por nitrato. A forma simples como o sistema foi concebido, com mangueiras perfuradas para distribui??o do ar e preenchimento com pe?as pl?sticas - condu?te cortado - mostrou-se bastante eficiente em rela??o ? remo??o de mat?ria org?nica e na nitrifica??o. O sistema apresentou, na melhor fase, efici?ncia na convers?o de nitrog?nio amoniacal em nitrato de 71%, e produziu efluente final com concentra??o de N-NH3 inferior a 10 mg/L. Al?m disso, observou-se uma redu??o de 77% na concentra??o de carbono, produzindo efluente final com 24 mg/L de DQO. Contudo a desnitrifica??o no filtro an?xico n?o se mostrou eficiente mesmo com a adi??o de uma fonte externa de carbono. Mesmo assim observou-se redu??o de at? 56% do nitrog?nio causado pelo processo de Nitrifica??o e Desnitrifica??o Simult?neas (SND).

o sono n?o-REM persiste como quest?o importante para investiga??o no campo de pesquisa dos
sonhos. Estudos anteriores t?m mostrado que os relatos de sonho documentados depois do REM
s?o, em m?dia, mais longos, v?vidos, bizarros, emocionais e com aspectos mais narrativos do que
os relatos do n?o-REM. Apesar desses achados, falta uma compara??o estrutural entre relatos de
sonho do REM e n?o-REM no que diz respeito ? organiza??o de palavra-a-palavra, e diversas
medidas tradicionais de sonhos podem ser confundidas pelo comprimento do relato. A an?lise de
fala transformada em grafos direcionados de palavras pode ser aplicada para fazer uma avalia??o
estrutural de relatos verbais e tamb?m para controlar as diferen?as individuais de verbosidade.
No presente estudo, tivemos como objetivo investigar as poss?veis diferen?as na conectividade
dos relatos e sua aproxima??o a uma estrutura aleat?ria atrav?s da an?lise de grafos em 125
relatos de sonho obtidos por 19 participantes em despertares controlados nas fases de sono REM
e N2. Constatou-se que: (1) grafos do REM possuem uma conectividade maior do que os do N2;
entretanto, essas diferen?as n?o foram refletidas na aproxima??o a um grafo rand?mico; (2)
diversas medidas de grafo podem predizer avalia??es externas da complexidade do sonho, onde a
conectividade aumenta e sua natureza rand?mica cai em rela??o ? complexidade do relato; e (3)
o Componente Maior Conectado (LCC) do grafo pode melhorar o ajuste de um modelo contendo
o comprimento do relato como vari?vel no discernimento da fase do sono e na predi??o da
complexidade do sonho. Esses resultados sugerem que os relatos do REM possuem uma
conectividade maior do que os relatos do N2 (i.e. as palavras recorrem com uma dist?ncia
maior), o que, em nossa vis?o, est? relacionado a diferen?as subjacentes na complexidade dos
sonhos. Esses achados tamb?m apontam para a an?lise de grafos como um m?todo promissor no campo dos sonhos, devido ? sua rela??o com a complexidade do sonho e ao seu potencial de
atuar como uma medida complementar ao comprimento do relato.<br>The extent to which Rapid Eye Movement Sleep (REM) mentation may differ to that of
non-REM remains an important area of enquiry in dream research. Previous studies have found
that dream reports collected after REM awakenings are, on average, longer, more vivid, bizarre,
emotional and story-like compared to those collected after non-REM. Despite this, a comparison
of the word-to-word structural organisation of dream reports is lacking, and traditional measures
that distinguish REM and non-REM dreaming may be confounded by report length. The analysis
of speech as directed word graphs can be suitably applied, as it provides a structural assessment
of verbal reports, while controlling for differences in verbosity. In the present study, we aimed to
investigate the differences in the connectedness of dream reports and their approximation to a
random-like structure through applying speech graph analysis to 125 mentation reports obtained
from 19 participants in controlled laboratory awakenings from REM and N2 sleep. We found
that: (1) transformed graphs from REM possess a larger connectedness compared to those from
N2; (2) measures of graph structure can predict ratings of dream complexity, where increases in
connectedness and decreases in their random-like nature are observed in relation to increasing
dream report complexity; and (3) the Largest Connected Component (LCC) can improve a model
containing report length in predicting sleep stage and dream complexity. These results suggest
that REM dream reports have a larger connectedness compared to N2 (i.e. words recur with a
longer range), which we interpret to be related to underlying differences in dream complexity.
They also point to speech graph analysis as a promising method for dream research, due to its
relation to dream complexity and its potential to complement report length in dream analysis.

Energy is a basic need for the overall growth and improvements of people’s living standard.But around 2 to 3 billion people in the world have no access to electric lighting. Like otherdeveloping countries the rural electrification in Ethiopia is very low and government takessome actions to promote the investment in these areas but due to economic constraints andlow level of technological advancement the growth is very low.This study focuses on solar PV based rural electrification, its impact on environment andsocio-economic development in Rema village. Three cases studies: typical households,small scale business center and public services are considered for systematic study.Interviews from villagers, existing energy system, literature data and HOMER software areused to calculate energy demand and cost of electrification. A comparison between theresults is carried out.According to the village survey the existing PV home system has a positive impact on a socioeconomic development of the village of Rema. Solar PV electricity can be used in generatingincomes. It is also used for climate mitigation by curbing CO2 emission and can be used forclimate adaptation by reducing the deforestation and facilitate carbon sequestration. PVbased electrification of health center and schools have played a vital role in improving thequality of services. The presence of refrigerator helped to have vaccines and medicines4preserved for different types of killer diseases. The teaching-learning process of schoolsimproved due the presence of electricity. The solar powered water supply in near areasreduced the time required for fetching water and made girls to focus on their education.Most villagers has positive attitude towards the technology but unsatisfied with the currentsystem size. The high level of technical skills required for maintenance and the small numberof solar technicians’ available in the village is also a problem reported in the village. HOMERsoftware is used to model the existing energy system and the required energy demandbefore PV based rural electrification and after PV based rural electrification. A new model isdeveloped depending on the villagers demand. . Modeling result shows that 3 kWP and 12kWP were found to be enough to fulfill the demand in clinics and schools with an initialinvestment of 18576 and 80704US$, respectively and a PV size of 165 Wp, 250 Wp and 350Wp is required for households with agriculture only, mixed and small scale business income,respectively. This led a requirement of initial capital of US$ 654, 1848 and 2339,respectively. However, these initial investments are unaffordable for most of the villagers.PV systems required for households with agriculture only, has lower investment per Wattthan others, while investment per Watt for small scale business has lower than householdswith mixed type. Therefore, the battery size plays an important role in the investment,operation and maintenance costs.The two main problems associated with solar PV in rural electrification are financial capabilityand technical problems. These problems can be curbed by loan arrangement and trainingthe villagers. But to make sustainable it must be used for income generating activities.

In the UK, official series of trials are grown annually at several centres with the objective of predicting future variety performance under the growing conditions sampled by the trials. For this purpose, the centres are chosen to be representative of the growing conditions in the region to which results will be applied. Analysis involves combination of trial results over centres and years. The analysis for individual years is also important as it predicts performance under conditions of a particular year and is also required for monitoring the trials. Varieties x environments tables are inevitably incomplete and the use of interactions as error makes the REML algorithm suitable for analysis. The models for analysis are determined solely by the objectives of analysis and the data structure. To predict variety performance for a range of conditions sampled by the trials, only variety effects should contribute to the systematic part of the model, all other effects and interactions are error. In this thesis we use REML to analyse the varieties x centres x years table, varieties x years/centres table and the varieties x regions/centres x years table. Simple methods based on least-squares analysis of two-way tables have been used to provide a combined analysis. We show that these methods give the same means as a full analysis if the within years tables are complete. Moreover, if centres are nested within years, use of REML in a two-stage analysis also gives correct standard errors. If some or all within-years tables are incomplete, simple methods can be inefficient.

Previous issue date: 2009<br>PURPOSE: This study evaluated lumbar spine injuries of asymptomatic adolescent rowers using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). METHODS This cross-sectional study evaluated 44 asymptomatic adolescent boys distributed in two groups of 22 rowers and 22 control subjects. All participants and their legal guardians signed an informed consent term. The study was approved by the Ethics in Research Committee of the institution where it was conducted. All the exams were performed using a 0. 35-Tesla open-field MRI unit and evaluated by 2 experienced radiologists blinded to study groups. Each MRI scan was analyzed for the presence of disk degeneration or dehydration, herniated or bulging disk, pedicle stress reaction and spondylolysis. The Student t test or the Fisher exact test were used for statistical analyses. RESULTS: Nine rowers (40. 9%) had at least one MRI abnormality in lumbar spine, whereas in the control group only 2 participants (9. 1%) had at least one MRI abnormality (p=0. 03). The prevalence of pedicle stress reaction was much greater in the group of rowers, and was found in 5 participants (22,7%), whereas the same abnormality was not found in any scan in the control group (p=0. 048). The analysis of other isolated findings did not reveal any statistically significant difference between groups. CONCLUSION: Pedicle stress reaction is a prevalent injury of the lumbar spine of highperformance rowers. MRI detected lumbar injuries at an early stage in asymptomatic rowers.<br>OBJETIVO: o objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar por ressonância magnética [1] a coluna lombar de atletas adolescentes assintomáticos praticantes de remo. MATERIAL E MÉTODOS: estudo transversal que avaliou 44 indivíduos adolescentes assintomáticos do sexo masculino distribuídos igualmente em dois grupos, 22 remadores e 22 controles. Foi obtido consentimento informado de todos os participantes e de seus responsáveis legais. O estudo foi aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da instituição. Todos os exames foram realizados em um aparelho de RM de campo aberto de 0. 35T e avaliados de maneira cegada por 2 radiologistas capacitados. Foi investigada presença de degeneração/desidratação discal, hérnia ou abaulamento discal, reação de estresse do pedículo e espondilólise. Foram utilizados o teste t de Student ou teste de Exato de Fisher para os cálculos estatísticos. RESULTADOS: No grupo de atletas, 9 (40,9%) apresentaram pelo menos uma alteração na coluna lombo-sacra pela RM, enquanto que no grupo controle apenas 2 indivíduos (9,1%) demonstraram pelo menos uma anormalidade (p=0. 03). A prevalência de reação de estresse no pedículo foi significativamente maior no grupo de atletas, ocorrendo em 5 indivíduos (22,7%), enquanto que no grupo controle esta anormalidade não foi detectada em nenhuma coluna (p=0,048). Com relação aos demais achados isolados nosso estudo não demonstrou uma diferença estatisticamente significativa entre os grupos. CONCLUSÃO: A reação de estresse do pedículo é uma lesão prevalente na coluna lombar de atletas de alto nível técnico praticantes de remo. A RM mostrou capacidade de detectar lesões precoces na coluna lombar de remadores assintomáticos.

Smart contracts are digital agreements stored and executed on a blockchain. With smart contracts, multiple parties can enter into an agreement whose correct execution is guaranteed by the underlying blockchain. However, there is no inherent way for smart contracts to access data APIs external to the blockchain they reside on, which is needed in order to expand their usefulness. This thesis investigates two approaches of feeding data to a smart contract on the Ethereum blockchain, with regard to the performance metrics gas cost, block delay, and network latency. The investigation is set in the context of train travel where the time of arrival of a train at its destination is retrieved to the smart contract. Receiving and aggregating submissions from varying numbers of passengers is compared to retrieving this data from the dedicated open API provided by Trafikverket using the Chainlink framework. Through experiments, involving issuing transactions and monitoring them, it was found that in the case of passenger submissions with aggregation the gas costs had a linear relationship to the amount of passengers submitting data. Compared to lower amounts, the block delay for passenger submissions started seeing an increase at 100 to 300 submissions whereas it was more or less constant for aggregations. Furthermore, there was no noticeable trend for increase in network delay with increase of submissions. Conclusively, with regard to all performance metrics, it was found that in all cases involving more than five passengers it was cheaper to use Chainlink to fetch data from Trafikverket.

Since the relations between persons and goods are an importantmatter, it is basic to understand the area of Civil Law that regulates them: the Rights inRem. However, we find that, from the relations that a person may establish with goods, notall of them are considered to be part of sucharea, but only a limited number.In this article, the author proposes to abandon the idea that the only Rights in Rem are the ones expressly set as them by the law, reminding that the persons themselves are the ones that can make the best decision about which relation is more convenient for them to establish with a good, since the interest that wants to be satisfied depends on each person.<br>A cada momento, las personas están en contacto con bienes que sirven para satisfacerlas tantas necesidades que surgen en la vidadiaria. Siendo una materia importante la relación entre las personas y los bienes, es fundamental entender la rama del DerechoCivil que la regula: los Derechos Reales. Sin embargo, encontramos que, de las relaciones que una persona pueda establecer con unbien, no todas están consideradas dentro dee sta rama, sino solo un número cerrado.En el presente artículo, el autor propone abandonar la idea de que los Derechos Reales sólo son aquellos expresamente establecidos como tales por la ley, haciendo recordar que son las propias personas quienes mejor podrán decidir qué relación les conviene establecer con un bien, en vista de que el interés a satisfacer depende de cada uno.
