Abstract:
Postoperative urinary retention (POUR) is a known complication following a variety of procedures, with a reported incidence of 2.1–3.8% in general surgery and up to 52% in anorectal surgery. We report a case of POUR in a female resulting in severe unilateral hydronephrosis with a perinephric urinoma due to a ruptured fornix. The extent of hydroureter caused an axial rotation upon itself producing further outflow obstruction. This phenomenon of an anatomical ureter deformity secondary to urinary retention resulting in a ruptured fornix is an unusual occurrence. The patient underwent a percutane

Abstract Background: Primary ureteral tumors are not common. The most common presentations of upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma are gross or microscopic hematuria. Objective: Report a rare case of acute ureteric colic with perirenal urinoma, secondary to primary ureteric carcinoma. Methods: Case report and review of literature. Result: Perirenal extravasation and ureteric obstruction by tumor was diagnosed by contrast-enhanced computed tomography. The patient was successfully treated with laparoscopic radical nephroureterectomy after the obstruction was relieved by ureteric stent. Adjuv

Abstract:
Mullerian abnormalities such as uterine didelphys have an association with renal abnormalities. Ureteric ectopia must be considered as a differential diagnosis of incontinence. We describe the case of a 21-year-old woman who presented with low volume continuous incontinence with a history of right renal agenesis and uterus didelphys. A right kidney was not identified on CT intravenous pyelogram but excretory phase images suggested the presence of a right ureter. Diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid renogram confirmed an area of perfusion consistent with a poorly functioning right kidney remnant.

Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to analyse the strategies that incumbent market participants are using to fight collaborative platforms. I essentially focus on the battle between taxi drivers and Uber in Spain, because it is a very complete scenario. Traditional operators feel threatened by collaborative platforms due to the greater attractiveness of their business model. Therefore, they implemented t the two classic defence measures: imitation and confrontation. Nonetheless, some references are made to other examples of sharing economy, as “short-term rental market” and other countries.

ABSTRACT BACKGROUND The proximity of intraventricular or periventricular tumors to critical white matter structures, such as the fornix, poses an operative challenge. In order to avoid significant neurological morbidity, deliberate selection of surgical approach is necessary when planning resection of tumors in this region. We report our initial experience with fornix modeling as an adjunct to standard navigational techniques across multiple pathologies. OBJECTIVE To report the feasibility of using diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) fornix modeling as an adjunct to standard navigational techniques

Abstract Background Rupture of the fornix is a rare and serious urological complication of obstructive pathologies. The main cause is ureteral stone, but rarely a bladder tumor. Described complications of fornix rupture are superinfection, perirenal abscesses and even sepsis, but not urinothorax. Case presentation Patient of 56 years old, active and chronic smoker, was hospitalized for anemia and obstructive renal failure on a non-documented bladder tumor; clinically, he was presented with hematuria and an intense right loin pain associated with homolateral basithoracic pain and dyspnea.
