The objective of this paper is to assess the effects of fiscal multipliers in the Macedonian economy and compare them with three selected European Union member states: the Republic of Slovenia, the Republic of Croatia, and the Republic of Bulgaria. Three localities of the Tengmalm’s owl (Aegolius funereus) were recorded during a field trip in the Šar Mts, North-western Republic of Macedonia. The study was conducted in October, 2015. The species was found to inhabit spruce and spruce-fir forests at altitudes between 1436 and 1848 m a.s.l. That finding is the first evidence of the presence of the Tengmalm’s owl in the Macedonian part of the Šar Mts and one of the very few published records for the occurrence of the species in the Republic of Macedonia.
