Abstract:
This study aims to find the forms of strategies and functions of requests in English that are used in several films with different ratings. Another objective of this research is to find the relations between the uses of strategies and functions of requests in English. Film is a picture of everyday life and we can see the cultures of a society, one of which is the use of language. To view the request speech acts in English, then two films that use English as a communication tool with regard to the different ratings were selected. The selection of films with different ratings are intended to see differences in the use of language in movies watched by children and adolescents. Rating in the selected movie consists of G (general audiences) and PG (parental guide suggested). Rating G is a film that is for the public, which means that the film can be watched by all ages. Rating PG is a movie that can be watched by children under parental guidance. Having found the forms and strategies of request speech acts in different films with different ratings, the situations and conditions of the use and the functions of request strategies were identified. Forms of speech act strategies invoked were classified based on the theory advanced by Trosborg (1995), while to see the functions of request speech acts Tsui’s Theory (1994) was used. As for achieving the objectives of this study, the authors use several effective methods. In collecting the data, the techniques used were watching and listening to the films that have been selected. Then recorded phrases of request speech acts found in the films. Once collected, the data were analyzed by using analysis technique proposed by Spradley (1980), ie domain analysis, taxonomic, componential and cultural value. From the analysis, it was concluded that there was no difference in strategies and functions used in the two films. Both use four strategies, namely indirect request, the hearer-oriented condition, speaker-based condition, and direct request. In addition, they also illustrate the same five functions of request speech acts, request for action, request for permission, offer, invitation, and proposal. The most frequently used strategy and function are direct request and request for action respectively.

Abstract:
Unsolicited Proposals (UNPs) are one of the main mechanisms for verifying the feasibility of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP/PFIs/PFIs) projects. However, the lack of clear criteria to evaluate and to prioritize the partner, in a transparent and technical way, has led to adverse selection of proposals increasing the level of failure of these projects. The main instrument used in the PPP/PFIs evaluation is a quantitative analysis based on Value for Money. The purpose of this research was to investigate the problems related with the processes of evaluation of the Unsolicited Proposals (UNPs) that are submitted to the respective government offices. The study compiles the analysis of Critical Success Factors (CSFs) for Public-Private Partnerships (PPP/PFI) and the Unsolicited Proposals (UNPs), identified in the literature, and synthetized by the evaluation of a group of 78 specialists, resulting in the organization of 7 (seven) dimensions to be considered in the evaluation of these projects. This study also demonstrated that, according to these experts, the analysis with VfM would be incomplete and insufficient to capture the complexity of the scope of these projects. As an alternative a set of 7 (seven) indicators where created related to each dimension and a general index that synthetize the performance in the dimensions, considering qualitative and quantitative aspects. The index was labeled as \"T\" index and evaluated by a group of 12 (twelve) experts on PPP/PFI projects. The results from the analyses indicate that the index allows a linear comparative analysis between the proposals received by the public entity requesting the Public- Private Partnership (PPP/PFI) services. The model of indicators decreases the subjectivity of the choices made by public managers, resulting in greater transparency for the process of proposal qualification and security to the market.

Abstract:
The Technical Proposal is a document whose preparation is a frequent action in companies which offer services or products. Besides it involves a multidisciplinary team, it also spends a significant amount of resources and time of all companies involved (the bidders and the contractor who will analyze it and decide which one will be accept). The Technical Proposal has some roles to play: be a promotional material of the proponent company, compose the contract, supply the cost estimation with time and quantity information and, finally, suggest new or complementary solutions to client´s questions. The aim of this research is, by doing case studies, to discuss the Technical Proposal business importance and to describe its preparation process in Brazilian commercial buildings construction companies. Interviews and documental analyses are the chosen tools to identify the main points of proposal development and the trends of this area.

Full text
Abstract:
A formal framework is developed and implemented in this research for preliminary rotorcraft design using IPPD methodology. All the technical aspects of design are considered including the vehicle engineering, dynamic analysis, stability and control, aerodynamic performance, propulsion, transmission design, weight and balance, noise analysis and economic analysis. The design loop starts with a detailed analysis of requirements. A baseline is selected and upgrade targets are identified depending on the mission requirements. An Overall Evaluation Criterion (OEC) is developed that is used to measure the goodness of the design or to compare the design with competitors. The requirements analysis and baseline upgrade targets lead to the initial sizing and performance estimation of the new design. The digital information is then passed to disciplinary experts. This is where the detailed disciplinary analyses are performed. Information is transferred from one discipline to another as the design loop is iterated. To coordinate all the disciplines in the product development cycle, Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) techniques e.g. All At Once (AAO) and Collaborative Optimization (CO) are suggested. The methodology is implemented on a Light Turbine Training Helicopter (LTTH) design. Detailed disciplinary analyses are integrated through a common platform for efficient and centralized transfer of design information from one discipline to another in a collaborative manner. Several disciplinary and system level optimization problems are solved. After all the constraints of a multidisciplinary problem have been satisfied and an optimal design has been obtained, it is compared with the initial baseline, using the earlier developed OEC, to measure the level of improvement achieved. Finally a digital preliminary design is proposed. The proposed design methodology provides an automated design framework, facilitates parallel design by removing disciplinary interdependency, current and updated information is made available to all disciplines at all times of the design through a central collaborative repository, overall design time is reduced and an optimized design is achieved.

Abstract:
The study aimed to investigate the trends and patterns in Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) services from ICAS Southern Africa. The sample was forty RFPs from the public and private sectors. The sample of forty was drawn from the ICAS Southern Africa archives of RFPs for 2012 to 2016, using probability sampling. The quantitative research approach was followed, using document analysis design. The researcher utilised the content analysis technique to extract the information from the RFPs and quantify it into a coding sheet. The findings reflect changes in requests for EAP services by corporate clients in South Africa over the past five years. There was a trend towards the integration of services from the EAP, Health and Wellness, Work-life and other related fields. The service delivery models requested also showed changes with electronic services emerging strongly, which presents an opportunity for the three fields to further integrate and provide holistic services.

Abstract:
The Gospel of Luke exhibits numerous correspondence between pericopes, some related to structure and others not. Those that were intentional reflect how Luke understood the individual units of tradition that were incorporated into Luke-Acts. They reflect an interrelationship he perceived between the corresponding pericopes. Accordingly, in the process of composing his volumes, Luke read the individual units of tradition intertextually, in the light of each other. This thesis adopts a form of the literary theory called "intertextuality" that accepts the importance of the author for the interpretation of certain types of text. The intent of Luke is frequently sought through the evidence of the correspondences. Robert C. Tannehill has studied intertextual correspondences in Luke-Acts that are not strictly structural in nature. His work is evaluated in the first chapter of the thesis. Eleven rigorous tests that assess the probability of authorial intent behind proposed correspondences are formulated and applied to proposals. Many withstand this scrutiny, but several do not. The second chapter applies the same tests to Charles H. Talbert's often extensive sets of Luke-Acts correspondences. He considers these to be the very framework of Luke-Acts. Several of them are found wanting, but authorial intent is proven to be probable in many instances. Chapter three establishes the literary precedent for the multi-fold parallel cyclical structure of Luke to be proposed in chapter four (e.g. ABC ... A'B'C'...). Numerous examples are presented of OT, Greco-Roman and NT texts that bear a similar patterned architecture. The new proposal for the cyclical structure of Luke 4:14-24:53 is developed in chapter four. The eleven tests for authorial intent are applied and the results strongly favor its intentional construction. Chapter five discusses the many literary and theological implications of the structure. Additionally, a viable method of Lucan composition, consistent with the proposed structure, is suggested.

Abstract:
Medical care provided by mobile units can take a long time to reachthe requested location, either due to difficulty in accessing the location, speed of traffic or even the lack of available ambulances. Inorder for more people to be treated faster and effectively, whetherits an emergency or not, this paper presents a proposal of a systemthat requests remote assistance and sends the needed materials. Topropose requirements and build the system’s graphical interface, benchmarking and focus group techniques were used. The proposedhigh-fidelity prototype indicates how the system will allowremote care to be requested through a communication interfacewith Mobile Emergency Service (SAMU) and the Fire Department, which will request the sending of a drone with a first aid kit. Inaddition, the system will allow you to specify the service to beperformed and will assist in its execution remotely

Abstract:
This article proposes an advanced interaction and visualization strategy for teacher supervision in a telemonitoring and teleconsultation environment based on video-based services. For the development of the proposal, a case study was carried out with the USP School of Dentistry. The proposal considers issues such as the hierarchy of supervision, request for help and communication, classification of priority of service; control of information flow and marking of contextual attributes such as time and type of service. Finally, it is believed that the presented prostitution is a potential solution both in the scenario of Teledentistry and in other contexts of education and health.

Abstract:
In this paper we present the model supporting the Requirement diagram in the emerging standard SysML, the System Modeling Language. SysML is the extension to System Engineering of the Unified Modeling Language (UML) proposed by the SysML and recently accepted as a answer to the Request for Proposal from the Object Modeling Group (OMG). We explain the rationale behind the construct of the model and give several examples to illustrate its features.
