The design of teaching activities for preschool undergraduates plays a crucial role in enhancing the integration of traditional culture into kindergarten teaching. However, existing research predominantly focuses on the procedural steps of teaching activity design, often adopting a single-dimensional perspective. To address this limitation, this study examines three key dimensions—language form, organizational framework, and content understanding—as research variables. These dimensions are integrated with a qualitative textual analysis of the steps involved in teaching activity design. The stu

When undergraduates engage in hands-on research experiences, particularly intense mentored experiences, they are more likely to pursue graduate studies in the sciences and take a more assertive role in their learning and career activities. Such early career experiences have been identified as essential in the development of the next generation of researchers. The authors describe the decade long development, structure, and evaluation outcomes of a summer research experience for undergraduates designed to provide an intense, yet supportive, research experience that helps inspire the next genera

Research is crucial for knowledge advancement, problem-solving, decision-making, and improving practices. Nonetheless, comprehending research methods can be a daunting task. A survey involving 117 undergraduates found 83.8% showed low interest in the Research Methodology course. Therefore, the objective of this study is to assess and discuss the RDC’s impact on student engagement, aligning with Malaysia's educational goals. Findings illustrate that the integration of Extrinsic Motivation (EM) and Intrinsic Motivation (IM) in gamification lessons are able to boost students' learning engagement.
