Full textLa presente investigación tuvo por objetivo conocer el estado de la gestión ecológica en organizaciones del Sector Hotelero del Perú tomando como referencia el año 2015. Para el presente estudio se contó con hoteles dentro de las categorías cuatro y cinco estrellas. Como parte de las limitaciones, el estudio se realizó únicamente con seis hoteles por lo que no se pudo inferir que los resultados obtenidos sean aplicables al sector. Para determinar el estado de la gestión ecológica en las organizaciones del Sector Hotelero del Perú se utilizó una encuesta desarrollada en base a la Guía para la Obtención de la Etiqueta Ecológica Europea para Establecimientos de Servicios Turístico desarrollada por la Comunidad Europea (2009). Dicha herramienta de investigación está conformada por seis campos de interés para el Sector Hotelero y fue validada con especialistas en el rubro hotelero y operaciones que garantizaron la aplicación de la encuesta para esta investigación. El resultado del análisis de los datos permitió conocer que las empresas participantes en la investigación alcanzaron un nivel intermedio en cuanto a la adopción y cumplimiento de prácticas ecológicas como parte de su gestión; considerando que la escala de nivel de cumplimiento está conformada por los niveles: (a) bajo, (b) básico, (c) intermedio y (d) avanzado. Adicionalmente se determinó el perfil promedio de los hoteles en base a sus características principales y a sus consumos de agua y energía de manera que pueda servir como indicador para las demás organizaciones del sector. Con los resultados se espera contribuir con la difusión del enfoque de gestión ecológica, permitiendo a los directivos y demás interesados del Sector Hotelero contar con información de referencia
This research aimed to know the status of the ecological management in the organizations of the Hotel Sector of Peru by reference to the year 2015. For the present study was considered the hotels of Peru in categories four and five stars. It was determined as part of the limitations that the research would be conducted only for six hotels, so it cannot be inferred that the results are applicable to the sector. To determine the status of the ecological management in the Hotel Sector of Peru was developed a survey based on the Guide for obtaining the European eco-label for tourist accommodation establishments developed by the European Community (2009). This research tool consists of six fields of interest to the hotel sector and was validated with specialists in hotel business and operations that ensured the application of the survey for this research. The result of data analysis allowed knowing that hospitality companies surveyed have an intermediate state in terms of adoption and implementation of ecological practices as part of its management; whereas the states of the results of the tool are: (a) low, (b) basic, (c) intermediate, (d) advanced. With the results are expected to contribute to the spread of ecological management approach, allowing managers and other stakeholders in the hotel industry has reference information

Full textEl principio de valor intangible en el mundo ha adquirido relevancia como estrategia corporativa y social, mientras que, en el Perú, ha sido difundido solo a nivel académico y su implementación en los diversos sectores ha sido muy pobre. La presente investigación se enfocó en estudiar el valor intangible en el sector de combustibles en el Perú por ser la principal fuente de energía de diversas actividades económicas como son el servicio de transporte, la generación de energía, procesos insdustriales, entre otros; además, participa como insumo en procesos productivos. Sin embargo, a pesar de su importancia para el país, no existen estudios que permitan conocer el impacto de su incidencia en la sociedad. Por ello, el objetivo del presente estudio fue obtener el grado de implementación de valor intangible en las cuatro empresas distribuidoras mayoristas de combustible que tengan el mayor porcentaje de participación en el mercado peruano. Para este fin, se realizaron encuestas que permitieron obtener dicha información de acuerdo con el porcentaje de cumplimiento de sus componentes intangibles: (a) calidad, (b) alianzas, (c) administración de recursos humanos, (d) capacidad de gestión y (e) aspectos ambientales y sociales. Los resultados obtenidos se basaron en la interacción conjunta de estos componentes en las empresas del sector y permitieron obtener un grado cuantificable de implementación de los componentes de valor intangible. Como resultado, y en base a la revisión de la literatura sobre los beneficios del valor intangible, se obtuvo una métrica, siendo este grado el que las organizaciones incorporan éstas prácticas intangibles que les permitan crear el valor indicado
The principle of intangible value in the world has acquired relevance as a corporate and social strategy, while in Peru it has been disseminated only at the academic level and its implementation in the various sectors has been very poor. The present research focused on studying the intangible value in the fuel sector in Peru as the main source of energy for various economic activities such as transportation service, power generation, industrial processes, among others; in addition, participates as an input in productive processes. However, in spite of its importance for the country, there are no studies that allow to know the impact of its impact on society. Therefore, the objective of the present study was to obtain the degree of implementation of intangible value in the four wholesale fuel distribution companies that have the highest percentage of participation in the peruvian market. To this end, surveys were carried out to obtain such information according to the percentage of compliance with its intangible components: (a) quality, (b) alliances, (c) human resources management, (d) management capacity and e) environmental and social issues. The results obtained were based on the joint interaction of these components in the companies of the sector and allowed to obtain a quantifiable degree of implementation of the components of intangible value. As a result, and based on a review of the literature on the benefits of intangible value, a metric was obtained, this degree being that the organizations incorporate these intangible practices that allow them to create the indicated value

Full textThis is a descriptive research and qualitative approach, which was developed using the methodology of case analysis, through in-depth interviews in three banks. This was achieved the main objective that was defined as identifying good corporate social responsibility practices in the Peruvian financial sector. This led to an extensive review of the literature, through which different aspects of CSR were defined, such as the involvement of stakeholders or interest groups, the integration between CSR and business strategy, or the participation of the board of directors and of senior management, among others. After interviewing senior officials from three banks, who work directly in the area of social responsibility, we proceeded to find similarities and differences in their responses. Based on the results of the interviews, it was concluded that CSR practices are developed in banks, which obey a comprehensive program and, therefore, are not isolated activities, although in most cases they are not integrated with the general strategy of the company. The good corporate social responsibility practices that have been identified in the research are: (a) knowledge of the stakeholders, (b) prioritization of CSR programs or projects related to the environment and the community, (c) integration of CSR with the business strategy, (d) involvement of the head management, (e) allocation of budget to CSR activities, (f) establishment of alliances with institutions, (g) approval with suppliers and (h) establishment of indicators in order to measure the impact. It was also known that CSR practices collaborate with workers from different areas of the banks, and also alliances are made with external entities. For banks, CSR practices have a positive effect on the perception that clients and the market in general have of the institution, but do not know if there is a direct effect on profitability, since this is not measured.

Full textThe company has been created to satisfy the needs of the people, this is the foundation of the Corporate Social responsibility (CSR), which proves to be the product of the actions and projects developed by the company in favor of the society and the environment, without leaving his lucrative order, this is the reason why we propose that using CSR also can generate profitability, integrating the primary purposes of the company; generate profits and fully satisfy the needs of the society. In the first chapter of the thesis will present the importance of the pressure generated by the different social groups over the company, as well as the intervention of organizations such as the ONU to set parameters of environmental care and the initiative of entrepreneurs to act responsibly with the environment. The different theories of CSR will be exhibit, the relationship between this, the sustainable development and responsible investment will be explained. In the second chapter, the correlation between CSR, profitability and competitiveness was analyzed through the financial approach and the appliance of basic methods, in order to evaluate the profitable of projects in CSR, then we defined the competitive advantage concept, the importance and application of CSR, and we established different management strategies to prevent and correct the impacts generated by the company to the environment, relating these concepts to investment in shares and appropriate management in order to generate profitability, gain a distinctive competitive advantage and developing corporate reputation. Finally, in the third chapter of this thesis, we evaluated the results of the methods applied to the effluent treatment plant of the fishing company TASA, which demonstrated quantitative and qualitatively that the investment in CSR, also demonstrating the importance of CSR management which helped the company to become highly differentiated and competitive within its field.

Full textNowadays, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become worldwide more common than it was 20 or 30 years ago. Certainly in our country it has also become more important in recent years. The pharmaceutical sector is associated with ethical, social issues, and products that directly influence the life and the health of people, becoming the most debated and criticized global industry. In Peru we do not have an updated CSR diagnosis in the pharmaceutical sector that is why this research tries to diagnose the state of the corporate social responsibility in the pharmaceutical industry of Peru, and develop strategies for its improvement. In this study participated 10 pharmaceutical companies, and the survey "Social Responsibility in the Peruvian Pharmaceutical Industry" was used as an adapted tool based on the publication of CSR indicators of Peru 2021. The priority stakeholders to attend were chosen based on the survey results, and with the four models of strategic prioritization. Improvement proposals were planned from strengths and weaknesses identified in the survey of CSR in the pharmaceutical sector. The priority of the improvement proposals was made by assessing the social and economic impact, and the feasibility of implementation. The Peruvian pharmaceutical industry obtained a final average score of 2.58 on a scale of 4. The investigation shows that the stakeholders with lower scores are community, environment, and employees. The strategies proposed are focused on increasing the final average of CSR obtained in the first diagnosis. Finally, it is noted that CSR in Peruvian pharmaceutical industry is at an early stage, and in some stakeholders, is not perceived

Full textLas empresas están orientadas a generar valor económico y el tiempo ha demostrado que debe ser de manera sostenible. Para lograrlo, su relación con la comunidad circundante es crucial y va más allá de la responsabilidad social de la empresa en ayudar o promover su desarrollo. Se trata de integrarla en su cadena de valor, generando valor para la misma empresa y para la comunidad, lo que es la esencia del valor compartido. Sin embargo, no se han encontrado investigaciones sobre valor compartido en el sector; por este motivo, la presente investigación se centra en conocer el grado de implementación de valor compartido al 2016 en el sector, basado en cuatro empresas de las cinco que operan en Perú. El presente estudio ha utilizado un método cuantitativo al tabular los resultados de las preguntas aplicadas al sector sobre los aspectos intangibles relacionados con el concepto de valor compartido. Estas interrogantes fueron cerradas, definiendo, para ello, opciones de respuestas con valores tipo dicotomía, escala de Likert y temporalidad. Los resultados obtenidos arrojan un porcentaje que se considera como el grado de implementación de valor compartido para el sector, basado en la muestra, así como en cada una de las empresas encuestadas y las respuestas cuantificables sobre cada una de las preguntas de la investigación. Esta tesis es un buen punto de partida que servirá para poder mostrar el estado del sector, qué se ha hecho al momento y qué se puede implementar en los próximos años; en donde las proyecciones muestran incremento de pasajeros y, por consiguiente, una mayor competitividad
The companies are oriented to generate economic value and the time has shown that it must be in a sustainable way. To achieve this, its relationship with the surrounding community is crucial and goes beyond the social responsibility of the company in helping or promoting its development. It is about integrating it into its value chain, generating value for the same company and for the community, which is the essence of shared value. However, no research on shared value in the sector has been found; For this reason, the present investigation focuses on knowing the degree of implementation of shared value to 2016 in the sector, based on four companies of the five that operate in Peru. The present study has used a quantitative method by tabulating the results of the questions applied to the sector on the intangible aspects related to the concept of shared value. These questions were closed, defining, for this, options of answers with values such as dichotomy, Likert scale and temporality. The results obtained show a percentage that is considered as the degree of implementation of shared value for the sector, based on the sample, as well as in each one of the companies surveyed and the quantifiable answers on each one of the research questions. This thesis is a good starting point that will serve to show the state of the sector, what has been done at the moment and what can be implemented in the coming years; where the projections show an increase of passengers and, consequently, a greater competitiveness

Full textLa presente investigación tuvo por objetivo describir el nivel de aplicación del valor compartido (VC) en las empresas de generación de energía eléctrica en el Perú en el año 2016. Para lograr este objetivo, se realizó un estudio cuantitativo utilizando una entrevista semiestructurada que incluyó cinco partes. Los datos recolectados provinieron de fuentes primarias y secundarias relacionados con las siete empresas más importantes de generación de energía eléctrica en el Perú, las cuales fueron: Edegel SAA, Engie Perú S.A., Kallpa Generación S.A., Fenix Power Perú S.A., Statkraft Perú S.A., Duke Energy Egenor S. en C. por A. y Electricidad del Perú – Electroperú S.A. Los resultados de la investigación indicaron que solo una de las empresas conoce el concepto de VC. Asimismo, ninguna de las siete empresas investigadas se encontró preparada para la aplicación de VC. De otro lado, solo una empresa aplicó el VC según las tres formas propuestas por Porter y Kramer (2011). Finalmente, cinco empresas de la muestra se encontraban en el Nivel 2 con respecto al VC con enfoque de stakeholders. Todos los resultados servirán para proporcionar información y conocimiento a los actores relevantes del sector de generación de energía eléctrica en el Perú
The objective of this research aimed to describe the level of application of Shared Value (SV) of the corporations in the Peruvian electric power generation in 2016. To achieve this objective, a quantitative study was conducted using a semi-structured interview that include five parts. The data collected came from primary and secondary sources related to the top seven Peruvian electric power generation companies: Edegel SAA, Engie Perú SA, Kallpa Generación SA, Fenix Power Perú SA, Statkraft Perú SA, Duke Energy Egenor S. en C. por A. y Electricidad del Perú – Electroperú SA. The results of this research showed that one Company only knows the shared value concept. Also, none of the seven companies under this study was prepared for applying shared value. On the other hand, one Company only applied shared value using the three ways proposed by Porter and Kramer (2011). Finally, five companies from the sample were in Level 2 with respect to shared value associated to stakeholders. All the results will be useful for all the stakeholders in the industry of the Peruvian Electrical Power Generation

Full textThe mining company Marcobre is currently carrying out construction works to begin its copper exploitation operations in the year 2020 (production stage) for the next 16 years with an average production of 90,000 tons of copper per year. The mine is located in the town of San Juan de Marcona, an area of direct influence, so the company has identified as one of the main needs of the population to improve employability by generating social responsibility programs that contribute to the sustainable development of the Marcona community. Consequently, this digital marketing plan aims to ensure that social responsibility programs contribute to the sustainability of Marcobre's operations in the period between 2020 and 2022. As a result of the research and analysis carried out, it is suggested that Marcobre Make programs to generate local entrepreneurship through institutions that teach courses with a focus on entrepreneurship and business aimed at young people aged 16 to 25, a segment that uses digital channels the most. Thus, the Entrepreneurs Leaders subprogram of the Marcona Sabe program has the value proposition to generate growth and learning opportunities for young people that improve their quality of life. Finally, according to the financial evaluation, the proposal contained in this thesis is viable, resulting in an EBITDA of US$ 314’313,719 on the year 2021 and US$ 314’299,342 on the year 2022, considering that the plan will contribute to the sustainability of the Marcobre operations and disseminate the efforts of the mining company with the sustainability of Marcona.

Full textThis thesis analyzes and identifies whether the projects developed by natural gas distribution and comercialization companies in the region of Ica, are projects of corporate social responsibility. We establish the definitions of three key concepts: philanthropy, social investment and corporate social responsibility which will be presented within the theoretical framework. It also introduces a benchmarking between three foreign companies that share the same category, subsequently we will proceed to present an action plan for the company in order to reach a significant improvement at its operations performance. To perform this investigation, we will take “Contugas” company, one of the leading companies in the category as an example In chapter one we will find all the references and definitions contemplated within the theoretical framework necessary for this analysis and that will guide us throughout the thesis. In chapter two we will structure the research plan, presenting the problem definition, hypothesis and establishing the goals. In the third chapter we will determine the methodology used for this analysis. In the fourth chapter we will analyze in detail the Contugas main projects implemented over the years. Finally, the fifth chapter will expose, the main results of the research and the pertinent recommendations will be presented.

Full textSocial responsibility went from being a purely philanthropic issue to being a relevant issue for improving the competitiveness and reputation of organizations. Peruvian passenger air transport companies have been found to be unaware of the level of their social responsibility management, as their foreign peers are. For this reason, the purpose of this research is to measure the level of social responsibility at Aero Transporte S.A. (ATSA), which in turn is a benchmark for other companies. The research design is quantitative in nature with a descriptive scope, using the Ethos - IARSE version 3.3 indicators as a measurement instrument. The data was collected through a questionnaire made to senior company officials. The results place the company in a stage two of five, this implies that it complies with current regulations and is developing initiatives and practices of social responsibility, but without yet having policies, procedures and management systems.

Full textA pesar que la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial ha cobrado importancia en nuestro país desde ya hace varios años, no existen estudios que permitan conocer su grado de integración en la cadena alimentaria del Perú. Esta investigación presenta un diagnóstico actual de la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial en la cadena alimentaria peruana, así como plantear propuestas para mejorar su adopción en la cadena. Se llevaron a cabo encuestas a colaboradores de mando medio del área de operaciones de importantes empresas del sector de alimentos y bebidas, a fin de conocer su percepción sobre la situación actual de la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial en sus empresas. Los interesados clave a atender de la cadena alimentaria se eligieron en base a los resultados de las encuestas, y a la priorización estratégica de interesados. Las propuestas de mejora se plantearon a partir del contexto social y económico del sector de alimentos y bebidas del Perú, y de las dimensiones menos atendidas de la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial en la cadena alimentaria peruana según las respuestas de los encuestados. La priorización de las propuestas de mejora se hizo evaluando el impacto social y económico, así como su factibilidad de ejecución. Los resultados del estudio servirán como punto de partida para futuras implementaciones estratégicas de mejora de la RSE en la cadena alimentaria peruana.
In spite of the fact that Social Entrepreneurial Responsibility has become significant in our country for a few years now, there are no available studies to enable us to know the degree of integration in the food chain of Peru. This research highlights an up to date diagnosis of Social Entrepreneurial Responsibility in such chain, as well as making available new proposals to improve its adoption. Surveys were performed with medium command collaborators in the operation area of important companies in the food and drink sector to get to know what they perceived about the current status of Social Entrepreneurial Responsibility in their companies. Key stakeholders of the food chain were selected based according to the survey results, and the strategic prioritization of those involved. Improvement proposals were offered starting with the social and economic food and drink sector of Peru, and those aspects less taken into account in the Social Entrepreneurial Responsibility of this area in Peru, according to the answers provided by those surveyed. Prioritization of improvement proposals was made through evaluation of the social and economic aspects, as well as their feasibility for execution. The study results will be used as a starting point for future RSE improvement strategy implementations in the food chain of Peru

Full textCorporate social responsibility (CSR) is an issue that has attracted growing interest in companies around the world because of their influence on economic, social and environmental aspects. Therefore, the following research paper exposes the activities of environmental social responsibility of the company Supermercados Peruanos and compares them with activities of companies of the same sector to evaluate the level of its impacts. In this sense, the research method is based on the analysis of the main concepts and theories of social responsibility, followed by the application of the benchmarking to gather sustainable and viable practices that consolidate Supermercados Peruanos as a benchmark for environmental management. Finally, the research work proposes the implementation of natural refrigerants for energy management; on the other hand, for the management of waste, the recycling of organic and inorganic products is proposed; and for the management of water use, it is recommended to reuse the treated water in activities such as irrigation of parks and public cleaning. In this way, Supermercados Peruanos will apply these activities in its stores according to its needs, considering that a program focused on the management of these three concepts (waste, water and energy) will allow it to maximize the operating efficiency of the company, save on costs and achieve a good business reputation through the management of its main activities and impacts.

Full textservice to children over 3 years of age in educational institutions of the preschool and primary levels of the State; as well as the Secondary School Days (SD), secondary with Diversified Attention Forms (DAF), and secondary of native communities of the Amazon; for which it acquires food, by contracting with different suppliers all over Peru, through the purchase committees. There is evidence that school feeding programs contribute to the learning of girls and boys who attend school, avoiding hunger and increasing their cognitive abilities. Within this framework, the perception of the different actors whose services they offered to the PNAEQW has been investigated in the first place, likewise, the perception of them regarding the implementation of corporate social responsibility - CSR in the suppliers of the Program and its importance was analyzed. The CSR is seen as an integral and complete concept by which the companies commit themselves with the interest groups with which they interact; and in the PNAEQW, particularly with the beneficiaries with whom the provider must implement CSR policies aimed at improving their quality of life, in addition to other policies such as caring for the environment, compliance with the labor rights of their workers and proper coexistence in community. The general objective of the present research is to know the factors that influence the provision of the services provided by the PNAEQW in the district of Villa Maria del Triunfo and if corporate social responsibility policies are promoted in the PNAEQW Suppliers during the 2013-2018 period, analyzing the perception of all of the different actors involved, in order to propose policies for the implementation of corporate social responsibility in the suppliers of PNAEQW that allows the improving of attention to the beneficiaries. It has been determined that there is a relationship between the value of corporate social responsibility and the development of the PNAEQW, its main actors, positively receive the possibility of implementing Corporate Social Responsibility. In addition, - 9 - the lack of knowledge about Corporate Social Responsibility causes that a program of this nature will not be implemented. This research seeks to contribute to the improvement of the food services provided by the PNAEQW, by strengthening the suppliers with the implementation of CSR policies, which will help to fulfill the mission of the social programs. The quality of the service provided by the PNAEQW is determined predominantly by the work performed by suppliers, taking into account factors such as: ● Delivery time, ● Safety, quality and conditions of food ● Involvement of the providers in the provision of the service. The accomplishment of the present study, allows to elaborate a proposal of improvement, through the design of a directive that promotes the implementation of CSR policies in the suppliers of the PNAEQW.
