Abstract This thesis examines how co-present participants manage intervening courses of action in social interaction. Variation in dative resumption among and within Alemannic varieties of German strongly favors an Evaluator component that makes use of optimality-theoretic evaluation rather than filters as in the Minimalist Program (MP). At the same time, the variation is restricted to realizational requirements. This supports a model of syntax like the Derivations and Evaluations framework (Broekhuis 2008) that combines a restrictive MP-style Generator with an Evaluator that includes ranked violable (interface) constraints.

Exposing cows to bulls or excretory products of bulls stimulates resumption of ovarian cycling activity in postpartum, suckled, anestrous cows. This biostimulatory effect may be mediated by pheromones produced by bulls that stimulate physiological changes in the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian (HPO) and/or -adrenal (HPA) axes of cows. In Experiment 1, the hypothesis tested was that the biostimulatory effect of bulls is associated with adrenal regulation and/or function in anestrous cows. Renewal of the Mill Grounds in Tasovice project presents a strategy of a feasible approach to the buildings with a historical value in baroque landscapes of the South Moravia. In three steps the project consequently restores the life and re-joins torn socio-cultural interconnections in a municipality affected by destiny of the Sudetenland landscapes. We use data from 1927 to 1998, and show that post-announcement abnormal returns are positively significant in both equally weighted and value weighted methods if we subtract firms with IPO events and the special regulation firms from sample.
