Abstract:
Background: Retromolar triangle exhibits great variation related with the 3rd molar presence, their impactation grade, its loss. RMT bone can be used as autological graft. RMT presents foramina of variable number and dimension. RMF of variable diameter can be found in different regional populations. Present study explores a morphometric study of RMT and their relationship to the mandibular canal and other bony landmarks of clinical significance. Materials and Method: After ascertaining the gender distinction, bilateral retromolar triangle areas were demarcated and its margins were identified.

Anesthetic techniques play an important role in the outcome of the therapeutic procedures in dentistry. Although inferior alveolar nerve block (IANB) anesthesia is currently the most often used, there are situations that imply the need of an alternative anesthesia technique to overcome the potential risks and complications. The aim of the study was to evaluate the efficacy of the retromolar triangle anesthesia technique in achieving the desired nerve block, while evaluating the duration of the anesthesia for the included cases. Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) remains the diagnostic modality of choice. The involvement of the cortical bone and adjacent teeth can be easily established via CBCT. Magnetic resonance can be helpful in the estimation of any other soft-tissue tumour spread within this anatomical area. The soft, hard-tissue, or mixed aetiology of tumours requires a differential diagnosis and accurate evaluation. If such pathologies arise, an adequate biopsy or incisional biopsy is essential to evaluate the type of tumour histopathologically. The occurrence of some neural tumours in the oral cavity is rare

One of the most current problems in surgical treatment of the head and neck malignant neoplasms is the necessity for plastic replacement of defects that occur after tumor removal. The management of a submental flap in 34 patients with squamous cell cancer of the oral cavity and skin cancer of the face has been analyzed. There were 29 males and 5 females. The average age of patients was 56.9±5.23 years. The squamous cell cancer of the tongue was diagnosed in 18 patients, the floor of mouth — 7, the mucous of the cheek — 5, the retromolar triangle — 1 and skin basaloma of face in 3 patients. Sin

AbstractIntroduction:Cancer during pregnancy has an incidence of 1/1,000, and when diagnosed, the most common ones are breast cancer (1/10,000), Hodgkin’s lymphoma (1/6,000), and head and neck cancer (1/10,000). If a diagnosis is made during pregnancy, the treatment cannot wait until delivery, and there is concern about the effects that radiotherapy may have on the foetus. When the foramen present, the foramen is connected with mandibular canal through another canal known as retromolar canal and it contain neurovascular bundles, which gives additional supplies to mandible.
