With the continuous improvement of the level China architectural design, BIM technique is applied more and more widely in China. Collaborative design is one of the core ideas of design using BIM technology, reasonable design using BIM software can realize the architectural, structure, water supply and drainage, electrical, ventilation and air conditioning and other collaborative design speciality. In this paper, by using the Revit Server deployment server, different professional designers respectively by Revit Architecture, Revit Structure and Revit MEP collaborative design. Through collaborative design technology of the application of Revit in the The main control building project, a 80% reduction in the designer communication project design time, total time reduced by 50% than the traditional model, and achieved good application effect and economic benefit.

In this works 3D modeling, design and safety management of high rise building using building information modeling (BIM) technology is carried out.. Initially a AutoCAD plan with all its salient features is developed following byelaws of high rise building. Then the 3D modeling and rendering of high rise building is done in the Revit architecture of the 2D plan which is imported from the AutoCAD. The analysis and design of high rise building is carried out using ETabs software. Apart from the structural design Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) services design is carried out using BIM technology . The layout of fire safety system is specified efficiently with use of BIM in co-ordination with MEP services. The application of BIM based design process resulted in considerable time reduction in compression with traditional design process and the holistic design of the high rise building is carried out with the compatibility of different softwares.

This paper examines the long-run relationships between the REIT indices of the UK, Turkey and Israel in the Euro-Med zone with that of MSCI US REIT Index by using weekly data over the period 2003Q3 through 2009Q3, which includes the latest US subprime mortgage crisis and its effects on global stock markets. Although our EG test results do not indicate a long-run relationship, after taking account of the structural changes by applying the GH test, we find a long-run interaction between the REIT indices of UK and Israel with that of the US. However, our results indicate the lack of co-movement between REIT index of Turkey with the US. In addition, our dynamic OLS test results indicate a perfect relationship between the UK and the US indices. Our findings show that international investors who make long-term investments can only gain from diversifying into the real estate market of Turkey among the involved markets in the Euro-Med zone.

La paratuberculosis es una enfermedad infecciosa que afecta al ganado bovino, su largo periodo de incubación y rápida diseminación a nivel individual y de rebaño, dificultan su control, por estas razones ha sido difícil dimensionar la extensión de esta infección en rebaños lecheros en el sur de Chile. El objetivo del presente estudio fue conocer cuan efectiva es la transmisión vía leche de Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (MAP) a terneros en los primeros 90 días de vida. Se alimentaron 10 terneros provenientes de hatos libres de MAP con leche de vacas nodrizas infectadas confirmadas por cultivo y serología que fueron analizadas previamente en el laboratorio, los terneros fueron separados en dos grupos, el primero “A” recibió leche con una carga conocida de la bacteria (106/mL) y el grupo “B” (grupo control) recibió sustituto lácteo. A partir del primer mes de vida se analizaron muestras de materia y suero sanguíneo en los dos grupos de terneros, así como semanalmente se estudió la leche para confirmar la presencia de la bacteria en el grupo correspondiente. Como resultado, al tercer y cuarto mes post inicio del estudio uno de los individuos del grupo A fue detectado como positivo al cultivo de materia fecal de forma consecutiva, la presencia de MAP fue confirmada por PCR, uno de los terneros del mismo grupo fue positivo a ELISA en el mes cuarto y quinto del estudio. Se pudo concluir que, los terneros expuestos a una carga alta de MAP en leche, la transmisión de la infección vía leche fue 100% efectiva y el progreso de ésta fue más rápido de lo informado en la literatura. El presente estudio confirma que los terneros sometidos a una alta presión de infección podrían infectarse a temprana edad y convertirse en una fuente de infección de otros terneros.

V članku je predstavljena politizacija književnosti in filmografije na Slovenskem v času Kraljevine SHS/Jugoslavije s poudarkom na analizi kulturnih revij in sporih okoli avtonomije avtorjev in urednikov. Ti konflikti so v 30. letih 20. stoletja skoraj po istem modelu povzročili delitve in/ali večja nesoglasja med vsemi tremi večjimi političnimi tabori in v njih: katoliškem, liberalnem in marksističnem. Med notranjimi obračuni z vključitvijo širše javnosti izstopa prelom med katoliško desnico in levico prav na kulturnem polju ob objavi Kocbekove razprave o španski državljanski vojni v Domu in svetu. S strani večine kulturnikov podcenjena filmografija se je tudi na Slovenskem – čeprav s precejšnjim zamikom v primerjavi z drugimi evropskimi narodi – pred in med drugo svetovno vojno (ter po njej) uporabila kot propagandno sredstvo političnega katolicizma in tudi marksistov oziroma v Osvobodilni fronti.

Renewable energy has become an increasingly cost-effective commerce preference for airports on account of technological advancement, market ripeness and public-sector investment. Airports have merits that promote the financial viability of on-site renewable energy, in particular for solar photovoltaics (PV). Solar energy systems can produce electricity in the day time when sun ray is available and it is cost efficacious. Solar system can be installed either fixed or adjustable to increase the amount of solar energy received via preservation the incident solar beam radiation normal to the system surface as possible. BIM has the ability to achieve a more energy-efficient building to improve the sustainability through energy analysis, solar analysis and wind analysis. PVsyst software was used to model the power generation and to design the whole PV system properly. Autodesk Revit and Autodesk Green Building Studio, during simulation, can give the annual wind Rose. This paper aims to apply analysis for PV system energy generation and its components to give initial cost, and annual cost as well as providing cost payback period which is an important indicator to define the amount of time it takes to recover the cost of an investment. Three cases of PV areas were considered, namely: building roofs, parking area, and PV land plant, in Cairo International Airport, by using the proposed selected PV cleaning methods. The system components were analyzed by PVsyst software. Wind Rose was obtained by Autodesk Revit and Green Building Studio. The results revealed that an annual energy generation of around 70 GWh/yr is expected, the initial cost is about 463 MEGP and the cost payback period is less than 6½ years.

De senaste åren har det skett stora framsteg i byggbranschen från sedvanlig byggprojektering till avancerad BIM-projektering. Resultatet av denna studie visar att trots den hastiga utvecklingen så utförs det fortfarande mängdavtagningar ur 2D-ritningar. Detta på grund av problem som uppstår vid mängdavtagningar ur objektbaserade 3D-modeller. Mängdlistorna ur objektbaserade 3D-modeller stämmer inte alltid överens med mängdlistorna ur 2D-ritningar. Detta leder i sin tur till nödvändiga och tidskrävande manuella mängdavtagningskontroller ur pappersritningar. Detta för att säkerhetsställa den riktiga mängden. Ju större projekten blir, desto mer tid tar det att utföra de manuella mängdavtagningskontrollerna. Syftet har varit att lokalisera och analysera de olika felkällorna som uppkommer vid mängdavtagningar. Mängdavtagningsfunktionen i programmet RevitMEP (2014) och MagiCAD (2013.11) undersöktes. Resultatet jämfördes med manuella mängdavtagningar ur 2D-ritningar. Examensarbetet resulterade i en arbetsmodell som visar hur man på ett korrekt sätt utför mängdavtagningar ur 3D-modeller. Vinsten av detta blir att färre återkommande fel uppstår. Det är viktigt att ha ett välstrukturerat och tydligt arbetssätt vid användning av de olika BIM-verktygen. Vid användning av modellen blir det färre fel och minskad missförstånd uppstår vid projektering. Kontinuerliga mängdavtagningar bör genomföras för att så tidigt som möjligt möjliggöra upptäckten av fel. Att upptäcka felen i ett tidigt skede förhindrar att felet eskalerar. I studien påträffades även ett kritiskt programmeringsfel i programmet MagiCAD för Revit MEP vilket ger användaren felaktiga resultat. Problemet har påpekats till programutvecklaren CADCOM och korrigering av programmet kommer att ske.The past years there have been vast progresses within the construction industry from traditional construction projection method to a more advanced BIM-projecting method. The results of this dissertation shows that in spite of these vast progresses it is still commonly conducted manual quantity calculations with 2D-drawings. The main reason to this is that when you compare the quantity results from object based 3D models to manual quantity calculation results with 2D-drawing, the results do not add up being equal to each other. Hence time consuming manual quantity calculations with paper drawings has to be conducted to verify the real material quantity. The larger the project, the more time is consumed to conduct manual calculation verification. The aim has been to identify and analyze the different sources of error arising from manual calculation verification. In assistance we used the quantity calculation functions in the software RevitMEP (2014) and MagiCAD (2013.11). To substantiate the results manual calculations were conducted. The results were compared to the manual calculations from 2D drawings, the profit of the method is that we get less reoccurring errors. The gain of this is resulting in fewer recurring of errors. It is important to have a well-structured and clear approach with the use of the various BIM tools. When using the model, there are fewer errors and reduced misunderstandings arise during project planning. Continuous calculation verifications should be implemented as early as possible to allow the discovery of errors. Detecting errors in the early stage will prevent the error from escalating. The study also found a critical programming error in the program MagiCAD for Revit which gives the user false results. The problem has been pointed out to the application developer CADCOM and correction of the program will occur.

In the theoretical part of thesis there are outlined basic issues about laser scanning, informational modelling and other relating issues. In the practical part of the thesis is the summarization of procedure starting from data collecting, data processing to the procedure of creating BIM model, it’s visualisation and the use of the model. There are also mentioned useful pieces of knowledge, which I have learned during dealing with the problems related to the application of this new way of using the spatial information.

This Degree project summarizes how it is to work in the CAD program Revit Architecture. This was done because AQ Arkitekter in Eskilstuna is interested in how Revit works. Especially compared to AutoCad which is the software they are using today. Will their work become more efficient with the new software?
The starting point was to find out how it is to work with Revit when you only used AutoCAD Architecture before. The purpose with this Degree project was to investigate whether it was possible to provide all the drawings required in a construction project that AQ Arkitekter normally produce in AutoCAD.
Most of the study was done on my own with some help of outside contacts. Drawings from an already completed construction projects were produced in Revit to really see if it was possible to obtain the required drawings. The final results were a summary of the Revit features and how to generate drawings. The two programs were compared to see the disadvantages and advantages of the programs. In the end, the Degree project did become a complete report, which gives an overview of Revit and its functions.

For more time and cost efficient projects, the construction industry needs to develop modern and integrated working methods. The preparation of construction documents is now in transition from 2D (AutoCAD) to 3D (Revit) modelling with an aim to streamline the workflow. This study aims to streamline the construction designing and planning stages by implementing specific commands that are adapted for Revit. The function of these commands is to provide complete structural components. These components will reduce the time to complete a construction drawing set compared to a traditional 2D method. Qualitative studies were conducted in the form of interviews with construction engineers. The interviews were based on different sub-areas that affect different parts of the planning stages. Based on these interviews, the toolbox was designed, containing the previously mentioned commands. Some conclusions that have been drawn after the study completion are that the construction industry is in need for a change, and that the building sector requires a systematic and united working method to streamline work methodology. In addition to the reduction of time and additional costs, this tool will reduce the frustration that may arise in the search of building components using traditional methods.För ett effektivt arbete behöver byggbranschen utveckla mer moderna- och integrerade arbetsmetoder. Evolutionen inom bygg med avseende på framställningen av konstruktionshandlingar övergår från 2D- till 3D-handlingar och övergången effektiviserar arbetet. Denna studie har i syfte att effektivisera arbetet för konstruktörerna i projekteringsskedet genom att beakta behoven som efterfrågas om Revit och tillgodose dessa. Genom en fallstudie utvärderades för-och nackdelarna med den befintliga arbetsmetoden som bidragit till idén om en tilläggsfunktion i Revit. I de kvalitativa studierna utreddes behovet av en tilläggsfunktion som genomfördes i form av intervjuer med konstruktörer. Behovet tillgodosågs med hjälp av tilläggsfunktionen Verktygslådan som tillhandahåller olika knappar som representerar olika byggkomponenter. Det var den kvalitativa studien som bidrog till utvecklingen av idén där konstruktörers åsikter och råd tog i akt. Effekten av Verktygslådan blev en reducering av projekteringstiden som samtidigt minskade störningar i arbetet. Slutsatser som har dragits efter avslutad studie är att byggbranschen indikerar ett behov av förändring, där sektorn kräver ett mer systematiskt och enhetligt arbetssätt för att effektivisera arbetsmetodiken. Genom att tillhandahålla konstruktionshandlingar på ett effektivare sätt reduceras tidsåtgången och merkostnaderna samtidigt som sektorn erhåller högre kvalité och tillförlitlighet i de olika skedena.

This thesis deals with the compatibility between analysis software Revit Structure 2012 and Robot Structural Analysis 2012. The purpose is to become more aware of information management models to be compatible across different software applications. The structural model is made to be optimal for the compatibility of other software Aim is also to gain an understanding of the transferring methods that exist, and which method is most convenient to use and to examine whether the methods work in practice. Objective of this project is to make the modeling process time-efficient for constructors. Models do not need to be structured in several occasions in different software; it only needs an optimal model that transfers properly between software. The method used in the thesis consist cases where the transferring process is examined. Structural 3D-models constructed in Revit Structure to be exported to Robot Structural Analysis, where an analytical computational model is formed. The model is revised and transfers into the software for result which information supplied with the model. The investigations resulted that the optimal model is constructed in Revit Structure with the correct placement of the model's analytical lines for integration to Robot Structural where the model becomes calculable. In Revit Structure applies materials and specific information to obtain a complete model that is computable after export to Robot Structural Analysis. Structural information such as profiles and construction component can be adjusted in Robot Structural Analysis for the correct integration to Revit Structure. Information linked to structural objects such as materials and finishes should be applied in Revit Structure as this are more advanced in the software dealing with the compatibility.

This thesis aims to illustrate how environmental impact can be reduced, through the use of lean concrete. It also illustrates how environmental data can be applied to a house through implementation with BIM. In this study a unique concrete structure developed by Swedish Cement and Concrete Research Institute is assessed for environmental impact, by calculating the carbon dioxide equivalents using LCA methodology. The construction is a sandwich element where the concrete is made up of three layers. Two external high-strength layers and a middle layer of low-strength concrete. The result is compared with three different concrete recipes. The environmental data obtained is then integrated with a building model in the BIM tool Autodesk Revit, using an own developed method. The purpose is to perform a sensitivity analysis in which the bearing walls are replaced with these concrete recipes. By performing a sensitivity analysis the effect the concrete has on an entire building can be seen. The result shows that there are major differences between the concretes. By only replacing the bearing interior walls to greener alternatives of the same material the climate impact is reduced by 10% of the building's overall climate impact. This study also shows that the resource efficient concrete has a lower climate impact than a standard concrete of the same strength class. The advantage is that this type wall construction can be made thicker without getting a significantly higher climate impact.

Världen står inför stora utmaningar när det kommer till miljön och byggsektorn har idag en stor miljöpåverkan, främst när det kommer till koldioxidutsläpp. De två mest använda byggnadsmaterialen idag, stål och betong har visats tillföra otroliga mängder koldioxid till atmosfären och är därför inte rätt väg att gå för en hållbar framtid. Trä som byggnadsmaterial är det enda förnyelsebara materialet av dessa tre och har visat på stora minskningar av koldioxidutsläpp i jämförelse med stål och betong. Kvarteret fören 1 i Karlstad är ett område där Karlstad kommun har tänkt uppföra tre höghus och valdes därför som utgångspunkt för detta arbete. Målet var att dimensionera det högsta huset med limträstomme och samtidigt följa planprogrammets vision. För att göra detta användes programmet Revit Structure för att rita huset och Robot Structural Analysis för att dimensionera. Huset dimensionerades för egentyngd, nyttig last, snölast, vindlast och brand enligt svenska standarder. Efter att Robot Strucural Analysis redovisat de krafter, moment etc. som lasterna gav upphov till används handberäkningar för att hitta rätt dimension för varje byggdel. Resultatet visade att limträstomme är ett rimligt alternativ till andra byggnadsmaterial för det 15-våningar höga huset som beräknats. Detta gav samtidigt ett unikt och attraktivt utseende på byggnaden. Det dimensionerade huset och två andra hus med liknande arkitektur planerades på tomten och en arkitektonisk bild framtogs för att ge en bild över resultatet.The world stands before large challenges when it comes to the environment and today the construction sector has a huge impact on the environment, especially when it comes to carbon dioxide emissions. Two of the most used construction materials today, steel and concrete have shown to bring large amounts of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere and is therefore not the way to go to a sustainable future. Of these three materials, wood is the only renewable construction material and it has a lot less carbon dioxide emissions compared to steel and concrete. Fören 1 in Karlstad is an area where Karlstad municipality is planning to build multi-storey buildings and therefore this area was chosen as a starting point for this thesis. The goal was to size the tallest building with a glulam frame but at the same time follow the vision in the planning program. To make this happen Revit Structure was used to draw the building and Robot Structural Analysis was used for calculations. The building was sized for self-weight, live load, snow load, wind load and fire according to Swedish standards. When Robot Structural Analysis showed the forces, torque etc. which the loads yielded, calculations by hand was used to find the right size for every part of the construction. The result showed that using a glulam frame is a reasonable alternative to other construction materials for the 15-storey tall building which were calculated. This gave at the same time a unique and attractive appearance to the building. The calculated building and two similar buildings were placed on the property and an architectural 3D view was produced.

Coronary artery disease (CAD) has emerged as the dominant aetiologic factor in acute heart failure syndromes (AHFS) and cardiogenic shock (CS). The invasive management of the complex cardiac patient with advanced (decompensated) heart failure, CS, and/or potential haemodynamic compromise during and/after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has become the remit of specialty myocardial intervention centres. Such centres provide state-of the art facilities for PCI, including experienced senior operators and critical care physicians who are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, with immediate access to cardiac surgery and mechanical circulatory support (MCS) systems.

Patients with central nervous system (CNS) inflammatory demyelinating disease (IDD) usually have acute relapses of neurologic symptoms that frequently remit spontaneously or after corticosteroid administration; they may also present with a progressive neurodegenerative condition, either de novo or after 1 or more acute relapses. Most patients with acute relapses of demyelinating disease do not have severe disability and can be treated as outpatients. Most hospitalizations for patients with multiple sclerosis (MS), for instance, are for reasons unrelated to MS, such as infection. However, patients with CNS IDD occasionally present with serious, emergent complications caused directly by CNS inflammation or indirectly by secondary complications, either of which can require critical care management.

Descriptions of mood disorders go back to the time of Hippocrates. Mood disorders are primarily characterized by depressed and/or elevated (manic) moods. The essential feature of mood disorders is an episode that is a distinct and persistent change from a person’s typical mood (depression or mania), accompanied by other depressive and manic symptoms, lasting 2 weeks for a major depressive episode and 1 week for a manic episode. Such episodes typically remit and recur over the course of time. Manic episodes define bipolar disorder. Severe depression without manic episodes is diagnosed as major depressive disorder. Mood disorders present a 10- to 30-fold risk for suicide. Effective treatments for mood disorders include medications, brain stimulation modalities, and psychotherapy.

Psychotherapy has historically been the mainstay of treatment for personality disorder (PD). It remains so. Psychoanalysis was probably the earliest formal treatment for PD, which led to the first clinical descriptions of borderline personality disorder. A parallel but linked development was the application of psychoanalytic ideas in therapeutic communities which have been in existence for over 60 years and remain a treatment context and method for patients with PD. It was only in the 1960s that modified psychotherapeutic treatments were developed. Initially these were based on psychodynamic understanding of PD, but gradually other theoretically and practically driven models have developed, leading to the current situation in which there are behavioural, cognitive, dynamic, and supportive treatments offered in a range of contexts. Some of these methods have more empirical support than others. These methods will be described in this chapter. Psychological therapies for personality disorders take place against the background of the natural course and outcome of the disorder. Until recently, the natural history of personality disorder had not been systematically studied. Several major cohort follow-along studies have yielded surprising data concerning the rate of symptomatic remissions in a disorder that was assumed to have a lifelong course. For example, over a 10-year follow-along period, 88 per cent of those initially diagnosed with borderline personality disorder appeared to remit in the sense of no longer meeting DIB-R or DSM-III criteria for BPD for 2 years. The symptoms that remit most readily, irrespective of treatment, appear to be the acute ones, such as parasuicide and self-injury, which are the most likely to trigger psychotherapeutic intervention. Temperamental symptoms, such as angry feelings and acts, distrust and suspicion, abandonment concerns, and emotional instability, appear to resolve far more slowly. In the Collaborative Longitudinal Personality Disorder Study (CLPS), when remission was defined as 12 months at two or fewer criteria for PDs, over half of BPD and 85 per cent of major depressive disorder (MDD) patients were reported to remit over a 4-year period. Psychosocial functioning recovered far more slowly than acute symptoms. There is a considerable body of literature on psychotherapeutic interventions for personality disorders, but significant evidence for effective treatment remains sparse. Much of the literature is dominated by expert opinion, which is not invariably the most helpful guide. In this chapter, we focus on psychological treatments where at least some evidence for treatment effectiveness exists. The evidence is strongest for borderline personality disorder (BPD). Treatment of some other personality disorders, for example schizoid, narcissistic, obsessive–compulsive, dependent, is evidenced mainly by clinical case reports in which theory is combined with clinical description and where, if outcome is measured at all, it is measured for the purpose of illustration and has little probative value.

This chapter reports on the prevalence rates of the 24 symptoms of BPD assessed in this study; prevalence rates that are declining over time. It also reports on rates of remission of each of these symptoms and rates of recurrence following periods of remission. The 24 symptoms are divided into 12 acute symptoms (e.g., self-mutilation, suicide efforts) and 12 temperamental symptoms (e.g., chronic feelings of anger, intolerance of aloneness). It was found that acute symptoms remit more rapidly and are less likely to recur. The clinical implications of these different symptom trajectories are discussed in detail.

Autoimmune diseases affect 5–7% of people, are more common in women of childbearing age, and are frequently encountered in pregnancy. They may remit or improve during pregnancy, but can flare or present in pregnancy. Many women with autoimmune rheumatic diseases have been advised against pregnancy in the past, but this is no longer appropriate with a new generation of pregnancy-friendly disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs and biological agents that afford excellent disease control without compromising fertility. Nevertheless, many women with autoimmune rheumatic diseases are older and have more comorbidities (i.e. hypertension, obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and so on) when they do attempt pregnancy. This chapter looks at the importance of planned pregnancies with good preconception advice from clinicians knowledgeable in both the disease process and its effects on pregnancy (and lactation), and vice versa.

More specifically, the sex scenes between men here provoked complaints to the Mexican authorities. The chapter argues, however, that the educational remit of the channel, previously expressed in dutiful documentaries, is properly extended here in a compelling fiction that charts new paths for men in modern Mexico.

Adolescents have previously been neglected on the global health agenda, but recent progress has been made with the inclusion of adolescents in the UN Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s, and Adolescents’ Health (2016-2030), and the landmark 2017 document the from WHO and other agencies, AA-HA! Guidance, designed to support in-country implementation of strategies for adolescent health. Investing in adolescent programmes yields a triple return; improving the health of the adolescent, of their future selves as adults, and then of their children. As the main determinants of adolescent health are outside the specific remit of the health sector, interventions must be delivered by multiple sectors, including education, social protection, roads and infrastructure, and employment, and be targeted more widely at various levels of influence; the individual and family, community, school, media and technology, environment, and legal frameworks. Adolescent participation and engagement in programmes is key to their success.

Nos anos 1990, no contexto do desenvolvimento da Internet e das tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (TICs), novos processos são desenvolvidos no âmbito do que se convencionou chamar de "Sociedade da Informação" ou "Sociedade do Conhecimento". O fluxo de mudança e as adequações à nova realidade, alcançou o campo da Arquitetura e Urbanismo, tanto na prática profissional (em escritórios de arquitetura), como no meio acadêmico, nas universidades públicas e particulares (CELANI; FRAJNDLICH, 2016). No ensino de Arquitetura no Brasil, as primeiras discussões sobre a aplicação de uma disciplina obrigatória de desenho assistido por computador emergiram, quando a portaria 1770/94, do MEC (Ministério da Educação e Cultura), fixou novas diretrizes e conteúdos mínimos, tornando a informática aplicada à Arquitetura e Urbanismo uma disciplina obrigatória. A partir desse marco, diante das novas tecnologias, inicia-se a introdução da informática, como disciplina e como área de conhecimento. Segundo a Associação Brasileira de Ensino de Arquitetura e Urbanismo (ABEA), a reestruturação curricular de 1994 envolveu diferentes aspectos, entre eles, a necessidade sentida socialmente pela comunidade profissional e acadêmica (professores e alunos) de atualizar a formação desenvolvida nas escolas, dada as novas dimensões apresentadas pela atuação profissional. Atualmente, no âmbito do ensino aprendizagem da Arquitetura e Urbanismo, a informática é tratada nas disciplinas de computação gráfica e nas disciplinas de Projeto. De acordo com Barison e Santos (2010, 2011), essa prática se tornou mais frequente, e se intensificou entre 2006 e 2009. Entre os apontamentos dos autores quanto ao emprego dessa prática, estão as estratégias e abordagens ligadas ao nível de competência que o aluno deve alcançar em relação à atividade que será exercida na prática profissional. Nesse contexto, passados mais de vinte anos da portaria 1770/94, do MEC que torna a informática parte do cotidiano acadêmico dos alunos de Arquitetura e Urbanismo, ainda existem questionamentos dos professores que ministram a disciplina e a busca pelo aprimoramento das práticas, relacionando o objeto de estudo com as necessidades formativas desses alunos. Desta forma, ao entender a necessidade de aprofundar e compreender mais sobre BIM no ensino de Arquitetura e Urbanismo, a presente pesquisa busca entender o processo de migração do ensino de desenho digital feito através do AutoCAD para o Building Information Modeling (BIM), assim como a aplicabilidade do software de plataforma BIM nos desenhos que os acadêmicos realizam em seus estágios. Neste sentido, esta pesquisa relatada a experiência vivida por uma das autoras, no primeiro semestre letivo dos anos 2019 e 2020, durante a disciplina eletiva de Computação Gráfica I, do curso de Arquitetura e Urbanismo em uma Instituição de Ensino Superior particular localizada no Centro-Oeste brasileiro. Na ocasião, durante o semestre letivo, foi ministrado aos acadêmicos do 5° semestre, dos períodos matutino e noturno, o ensino de Revit, (software de plataforma BIM) para a instrução de softwares de desenho digital. Com uma média de 15 alunos, as salas de aula continham equipamentos e o suporte para que houvesse a explicação detalhada dos comandos/ferramentas, computador e projetor para a demonstração dos comandos/ferramentas do software pelo professor, assim como o software Microsoft Revit 2017, instalado nos computadores que eram utilizados individualmente pelos acadêmicos. A disciplina descrita neste relato, com carga horária total de 80 horas, tinha como objetivo, a criação de desenho digital 2D e 3D para a representação de projetos arquitetônicos, através da abordagem teórico-prática, aplicando como método, a demonstração detalhada dos comandos/ferramentas do Microsoft Revit e, em seguida, a aplicação prática no processo de criação de componentes, elementos arquitetônicos e mais adiante, modelos de projeto arquitetônico. Especificamente, este estudo buscou demonstrar a influência no aprendizado que o conhecimento prévio de outros softwares tem sobre o aprendizado do Revit, assim como o grau de competência adquirido pelos discentes ao longo da disciplina e a aplicabilidade no mercado da construção civil. No final de cada semestre, a análise dos resultados indicou que o aluno que já possuía algum conhecimento prévio em outro software AutoCAD teve um melhor entendimento inicial das ferramentas/comandos do Revit, seja pela similaridade entre os mesmos ou pela familiaridade na utilização do desenho digital. Aqueles que, pela primeira vez, tiveram contato com o desenho digital, iniciando no Revit, relataram maior dificuldade em compreender a função das ferramentas e principalmente, a percepção em relação à dimensão (2D e 3D). Entre todos os discentes, o primeiro grupo, que recebeu aulas no ao de 2019, e que tinha conhecimento prévio em AutoCAD, se observou um nível de aprendizado mais elevado que o grupo do seguinte semestre (2020), alunos dos quais, a maioria não possuía contato prévio com AutoCAD. No período, enfatiza-se o formato de ensino remoto no ano letivo de 2020, onde os discentes receberam a capacitação de forma on-line, durante o qual, foi observada a diminuição do ritmo de aprendizado. Em relação ao nível de competência, Succar, Sher e Williams (2013) descrevem níveis onde vários incrementos de capacidade podem ser usados para fins de medição e comparação. O Índice de Competência Individual (ICI) é uma versão simplificada do modelo de desempenho desenvolvido por Benner (1984) e inclui cinco níveis distintos. De acordo com esta análise, notou-se que aos estudantes participantes da pesquisa iniciaram a disciplina no Nível 0 de competência (nenhuma) e foi possível, ao final da disciplina, atingir o Nível 2 (intermediário) que denota uma compreensão conceitual sólida e alguma aplicação prática. De forma majoritária, observou-se que apesar do nível de conhecimento adquirido estar em nível suficiente para o desenvolvimento de projetos com o uso do Revit, os discentes não utilizaram o software fora das atividades da disciplina, pois o mercado de trabalho da região, todavia não implementou o uso do BIM, em uma porcentagem considerável, impedindo assim, o aperfeiçoamento no uso do Revit através da prática durante as atividades de estágio do acadêmico. This paper presents an overview of the fire and smoke threat to naval vessels and the measures that can be taken to counter the threat. In the confined space of a naval vessel, the damage to men and equipment from the heat, smoke, and toxic gases generated by a fire can occur rapidly. Once the fire has been extinguished, restoring the affected ship systems and cleansing the atmosphere can compromise the mission of the ship. The long-term effect of corrosive gases on electronic equipment adds to the maintenance burden on the ship and the refit facility. This paper will provide suggestions and procedures to reduce the potential for fire damage to naval vessels through the use of improved anti-sweat pipe insulation materials.

Nexia Solutions are currently running a small European network entitled “European Network on the Determination of Site End Points for Radiologically Contaminated Land (ENDSEP)”. Other network members include NRG (Netherlands), UKAEA (UK), CEA (France), SOGIN (Italy), Wismut (Germany), Saxon State Agency of Environment and Geology (Germany). The network is focused on the technical and socio-economical issues associated with the determination of end points for sites potentially, or actually, impacted by radiological contamination. Such issues will cover: • Those associated with the run up to establishing a site end point; • Those associated with verifying that the end points have been met; and • Those associated with post closure. The network’s current high level objectives can be summarized as follows: • Share experience and best practice in the key issues running up to determining site end points; • Gain a better understanding of the potential effects of recent and forthcoming EU legislation; • Assess consistency between approaches; • Highlight potential gaps within the remit of site end point determination and management; and • Consider the formulation of research projects with a view to sharing time and expense. The programme of work revolves around the following key tasks: • Share information, experience and existing good practice. • Look to determine sustainable approaches to contaminated land site end point management. • Through site visits, gain first hand experience of determining an appropriate end point strategy, and identifying and resolving end point issues. • Highlight the key data gaps and consider the development of programmes to either close out these gaps or to build confidence in the approaches taken. • Production of position papers on each technical area highlighting how different countries approach/resolve a specific problem.

Le narrateur de La salle de bain (1985) est obsédé par le passage du temps : il contemple ainsi longuement une fissure dans le mur qui surplombe sa baignoire – causée vraisemblablement par l’humidité, et donc par l’eau –, y voyant le reflet de sa propre décrépitude. Ces ravages potentiels exercés par l’élément liquide s’étendent d’ailleurs à la société en son ensemble : en témoignent les visions du personnage de Paris noyé sous la pluie (comparé dès lors à un « aquarium ») ou de Venise submergée par la mer, si ce n’est son intérêt douteux pour le naufrage du Titanic. Cette métaphore filée trouve son apogée dans une scène marquante du roman, où le narrateur, contemplant les gouttes de pluie qui glissent sur sa fenêtre, en tire des conclusions sur « la finalité du mouvement », laquelle serait inéluctablement l’« immobilité ». Les indications données à cet égard peuvent être considérées comme un commentaire métatextuel, cadrant les modalités de traversée du texte. À ceci s’ajoute l’image de l’encre s’écoulant d’un poulpe – animal marin – mal apprêté par l’un des personnages, autre possible illustration de l’écriture, de la fiction qui se crée en dépit de l’adversité. This helpdesk report reviews ten national social protection strategies (published between 2011-2019) in order to map their content, scope, development processes and measures of success. Each strategy was strongly shaped by its local context (e.g. how social development was defined, development priorities and existing capacity and resources) but there were also many observed similarities (e.g. shared values, visions for social protection). The search focused on identifying strategies with a strong social assistance remit from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Sub-Sarahan African and South and South-East Asian regions1 (Latin America was deemed out of scope due the advanced nature of social protection there). Examples from Sub-Saharan Africa are most widely available. Few examples are available from the MENA region2 – it may be that such strategies do not currently exist, that potential strategy development process are in more nascent stages or that those strategies that do exist are not accessible in English. A limitation of this review is that it has not been able to review strategies in other languages. The strategies reviewed in this report are from Bangladesh (2015), Cambodia (2011), Ethiopia (2012), Jordan (2019), Kenya (2011), Lesotho (2014), Liberia (2013), Rwanda (2011), Uganda (2015) and Zambia (2014). The content of this report focuses primarily on the information from these strategies. Where appropriate, it also includes information from secondary sources about other strategies where those original strategies could not be found (e.g. Saudi Arabia’s NSDS).
