Full textThis project, developed in the field of Sociology of Work, aims to cooperate with the discussion about the current and future unionism, connected to the Labour Revitalization Studies. Syndicalism in public sector, especially in the end of 1980‘s, was developed with the assumption of the union character of the civil servants trade unions, also with the influence of the new unionism over middle classes and the policy environment of the struggles for democratization in Brazil after dictatorship. That‘s how it was formed SIMPA, a union trade of civil servants of Porto Alegre City, Rio Grande do Sul State, Brazil. SIMPA was the first union trade of municipal workers legalized in the country, and it is the empirical object of this research. Themes such as reforms and the persistence of the union structure, in a context of outsourcing in public administration, as well as the assumption for a large part of literature that union movement was passing through a crisis, are some elements that instigate the investigation of union actions face to the discussion of a supposed crisis or decline. With an Extended Case Method, we analyze the emergence of new unionism practices. Rescuing the experiences of SIMPA, we search for connections to with some authors have called ―Social Movement Unionism‖, about the relations between classical unionism and new demonstrations and movements that have been arising in our times.

Full textIn this study, I took notice to the unique characteristics of the text and personality of Ezekiel, and interpreted it from the point of view of "Revitalization Movement." Revitalization Movement is a special kind of cultural change phenomenon and the experience and activity of the "Prophet" plays the crucial role there. From this point of view, the Book of Ezekiel is interpreted as the performance of Priestly tasks against the Exile through the functions of the Prophet and as the process of the creation of the new priestly cultural Gestalt, or giving Ezekiel healing.

With the trend of local consciousness in Taiwan, the researches of Pingpu tribes are getting more and more. There are many documents and historical fragments displayed in front of the public; that influences many people’s ethnic identity towards their own groups. Therefore, the Pingpu tribes begin actively to reconstruct their own culture and congregate their self-consciousness. Different groups have different historical background and environment experience, so the points to develop culture reconstruction are also different. The loss of the language of the Siraya tribe is the biggest obstruction of revival. However, the worships and religious beliefs are carried out in life, and the group memory is still clear-cut; this is not only the most obvious group mark of the Sirarya tribe, but also the key factor during the culture reconstruction. Because of these reasons, the Siraya tribe is striving toward the movement of revival under the three main aspects – reappearance of rites, continuity of belief, and redress of the history. Shiau-Lung-She, now the Beitouyang in the Jiali Township, is one of the four groups in the Siraya tribe. According to the documents of history, Beitouyang was the earliest place of living, and the belief of Alid still exists there. Even though other religious beliefs influence Beitouyang successively, the belief of Alid still plays an important role. The Alid and folk beliefs in that area have complicated division of labor and complex relationships. The two main functions of Alid in Beitouyang are to bless children grow up and help them get over the shock. That is, the belief of Alid and others have different division of labor, and there is no conflict in the complicated beliefs. The locals revive and preserve the culture of Siraya by exhibition and performance, and they also have established the Siraya Museum after asking for the instructions of Alid, including the the aspects of the architecture and the location. Besides, through the discussion of the whole villagers and the course of construction, the local consciousness has been congregated more. In addition, the night festival, which has lost in that area for a long time, reappears by the help of other tribes. This article records and analyzes the past revival course of Beitouyang culture, and after the survey, the local history of the tribes is considered quite important. In the past time, people got the information about Beitouyang by asking the Japanese scholars and the elders of the Ching Dynasty. However, they ignored the important constructions by the Netherlands in that area. For example, the first School of Theology in Taiwan was located in Shiau-Lung-She. Besides, this article also completely collects and analyzes all the domicile information during Japanese Colonization in order to set up the more useful papers for that area.

Tâi-Bûn Thong-Sìn, Taiwanese Forum, a monthly publication established in 1991, advocates that the Taiwanese people should speak Taiwanese and write in Taiwanese. The cause was upheld by overseas Taiwanese. Tâi-Bûn Thong-Sìn set up its Taiwan head office in 1992. In 1996, The Taiwanese Writing Forum of Tâi-Bûn Thong-Sìn established the Tâi-Bûn BONG Pò magazine. Then in 1997, the Lí Kang Khioh Taiwanese Cultural &; Educational Foundation was founded with the funds donated by the readers of Tâi-Bûn Thong-Sìn and Tâi-Bûn BONG Pò. It aims to give impetus to the language revitalization movements for the mother tongues of Taiwan and to promote literature written in the native languages of Taiwan. By integrating the strength of many volunteers, it also gets involved in quite a few related tasks in the hope that the mother tongues of Taiwan can be successfully revitalized. This thesis mainly studies the Lí Kang Khioh Taiwanese Cultural &; Educational Foundation to explore the development trajectory from the birth of Tâi-Bûn Thong-Sìn to the establishment of the foundation and to analyze the role the foundation plays in the movements for revitalizing the mother tongues of Taiwan, presenting the situation of the language revitalization movements since the 1990s. Hopefully it can make up for part of the deficiency in the written history of social movements in Taiwan.

Zhongzheng Road, which is also called Ertong Road, needs to be revitalized. Since the 1980s, commercial activities began to decline. "The Image Commercial District launched by the Department of Commerce in 1998, Ministry of Economic Affairs" was a failure, further led to the depression of this historical street for almost 20 years until now. This research observes the way this new revitalization movement brings to Zhongzheng Road and how the degenerate community is going to recover through the efforts contributed by the residents. Whether this movement changes the residents’ awareness is the primary issue behind this research. This research uses different methods such as the literature analysis, direct observation and interviews to compare the differences between the old and the new revitalization movement taking place in Zhongzheng Road. Meanwhile, during the process of investigating this Community Renaissance Project, we get to realize how the involvement of the residents as well as the connection with the local change the consciousness of the residents, establishing the basis of the following revitalization movement. By interviews, lectures and meetings, after collecting the residents’ opinions, we are able to determine if there is any change in the consciousness of the residents. We found from this research that after the revitalization movement of Zhongzheng Road, in terms of the residents’ consciousness, younger generation tends to be more ambitious compared to the older generation, which can be revealed from the actions taken following the end of the project. In order to revitalize Zhongzheng Road, on one hand, some issues have to be fixes. For instance, a pedestrian-friendly environment has to be built and a new business model pattern must be figured out. On the other hand, although some people do not live on this road, they pay more attention and get involved more deeply than residents living on this road. This is because of the recognition and collective memories those people hold toward Zhongzheng Road. We look forward to the continuously active revitalization movement in the following days, stimulating the residents to form an organization autonomously, the aim of which is to improve to status quo of Zhongzheng Road.

Abstract This thesis attempts to discuss Katratripulr’s cultural revitalization, through the process it itself involves with tribal unity, challenges governmental managements as well as hegemonic policies, and eventually toward the end, answers the causes of why the tribal people enthusiastically participate in their annual festivals. The thesis in addition discusses the interactions between Katratripulr Cultural Development Association and the traditional organizations, through which Katratripulr faces an ironic position (a millet harvest festival celebrating with no millets, for example) and a series of national conflicts, as tribal people during hunting ceremonies were caught by local authorities known as Mongngayau event. Toward the end, Katratripulr finds their tribal authenticities, in terms of how to reemphasize their own tribal traditions and values. Drawing on self-reflections on Katratripulr’s cultural revitalization, this thesis interprets the tribal festivals are not merely presented as annual ceremonies (nor as a rite of passage), but an obligation to their tribal territories/traditional areas. Keywords: Katratripulr, cultural revitalisation, millet harvest festival, Mongngayau event
