When global complications occur firms must possess the capability to work around the new obstacles and aim to proceed with their operations as normal as possible. With the Covid-19 situation escalating day by day, the worries regarding if the companies of the world grow consequentially. This research has then been conducted with multiple cases in order to understand if the supply chains for production firms as well as service supply chains for service firms has been compromised in any way. If this is the case, the authors also aimed to find out whether there were any specific measures within t

Abstract:
Classical music organisations across the UK are under increasing pressure to grow and diversify their audiences. ‘Populist’ concerts are designed to attract new audience members by being more accessible and informal than core classical concerts, with programmes structured around well-known short pieces within a broadly-defined classical repertoire. Populist programming has been criticised in mainstream press for ‘dumbing down’ classical music in favour of attracting larger audiences. This thesis investigates how the distinction between populist and core programming is perceived and negotiated

Weston, Lauren. "Exploring the factors which underpin young drivers' over-representation in road traffic collisions." Thesis, University of Plymouth, 2016. http://hdl.handle.net/10026.1/5153.

Full text
Abstract:
Worldwide, young drivers are involved in more road traffic collisions than any other age group (Taubman & Katz, 2012). Comprehensive driver training and various forms of pre- and- post-test road safety interventions (RSIs) are in place, but young drivers continue to be involved in more at-fault, fatal collisions than older, newly qualified drivers (e.g. Emmerson, 2008; Braitman et al, 2008; Clarke et al, 2010). The evidence base to date is mixed regarding why young drivers are at a heightened risk of collision and so this thesis aims to provide further understanding about the factors underpinn

Abstract:
This research examines the effects of two conflicting goals (e.g. a group and an individual goal) and two types of rewards (e.g. an incremental and a target reward) on group contribution when group members vary in their ability to accomplish the group task. The experimental task was set up as a social dilemma in which participants were asked to work on both a group and an individual production task. Contribution to group work could lead to higher rewards for all, but it could also result in lower rewards if others failed to contribute. Setting conflicting group and individual goals, as opposed

Abstract:
Young novice drivers - that is, drivers aged 16-25 years who are relatively inexperienced in driving on the road and have a novice (Learner, Provisional) driver's licence - have been overrepresented in car crash, injury and fatality statistics around the world for decades. There are numerous persistent characteristics evident in young novice driver crashes, fatalities and offences, including variables relating to the young driver themselves, broader social influences which include their passengers, the car they drive, and when and how they drive, and their risky driving behaviour in particular

Abstract:
This dissertation mainly studies correlation and then portfolio analysis of financial contagion and capital flight, focusing on currency co-movements around the political uncertainty due to the Brexit referendum on 26 June 2016. The correlation, mean, and covariance computations in the analysis are both time-unconditional and time-conditional, and the generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity (GARCH) and exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA) methods are applied. The correlation analysis in this dissertation (Chapter 1) extends the previous literature on contagion testin
