Rhinocoeta namaqua sp. nov. is recognised as a separate species from its closest relative, R. cornuta (Fabricius, 1781) after a review and close analysis of specimens recently collected in the semiarid region of the Northern Cape Province, South Africa. The new species can be readily separated from R. cornuta by the drastically reduced tubercle and associated depression on its anterior pronotal margin, particularly in the male. Nasal polyps are commonly treated surgically. Intranasal administration of topical corticosteroids has gained increased acceptance as a treatment alternative. The aim of our study was to compare the efficacy of treatment of two formulations of budesonide with placebo on nasal polyps. A new genus, Blepharocosta, is erected for the species Rhinocola marmorata Froggatt, formerly placed in Australopsylla, and six new species, B. subsolana, B. cloezianae, B, phaeotrichae, B. baxtericola, B. marginaticola and B. minima. The host plants of all seven species, except one (Eucalyptus cloeziana), are species of Eucalyptus that belong to the subgenus Monocalyptus.
