The Kerinci Rice Barn is the object of this printmaking. The Kerinci rice barn was chosen as the object of creation because its existence is already threatened with extinction. In fact, the philosophical value of the Kerinci rice barn is very noble and profound. This printmaking is made in a surreal style. The concept of distortion is used to make the work more surreal. The idea behind this work is to use the Kerinci rice barn as an idiom to express oneself through art. The stages of the method in this creation are: contemplation, prototype, and forming. Organic coatings, which include paint films, pigmented oils, zinc rich primers, and specialty oils, are now being applied over zinc phosphates, plated parts, and bare steel. But customers are demanding changes. Because of higher corrosion resistance requirements, the industry must develop new products and make improvements in application technology. These new high corrosion resistant products must have black

Abstract AISI 420 modified (13Cr) martensitic stainless steels are often chosen for the manufacture of downhole completion equipment within the oil and gas production environment. 13Cr is primarily used in CO2 rich production environments where carbon/low-alloy steels are subjected to high corrosion rates. The material is available as both bar stock and tubing. Bar stock is predominantly used for manufacturing thick-walled completion tool components. 13Cr material that has been quenched and tempered to 22 HRC maximum hardness provides resistance to sulfide stress cracking (SSC) in environments

Abstract Supercritical CO2 (sCO2) is of interest as a working fluid for several concepts including the direct- fired Allam cycle as a low-emission fossil energy power cycle. Over the past 10 years, laboratory exposures at 300 bar sCO2 have found reasonably good compatibility for Ni-based alloys at <800°C, including an assessment of the sCO2 impact on room temperature mechanical properties after 750°C exposures. However, initial screening tests at 1 and 20 bar CO2 at 900°-1100°C showed poor compatibility for Ni-based alloys. In an open cycle, the introduction of 1%O2 and 0.1- 0.25%H2O im

Abstract There can be significant corrosion management challenges resulting from planned CO2 Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) projects in relation to new & existing oil & gas production infrastructure, covering existing production wells, subsea pipelines and offshore process facilities. The CO2 EOR project presented will involve water alternating gas (WAG) injection into an existing reservoir via new injection wells. It is planned that 1 to 3 years of seawater injection will be followed by gas injection, at 5000 psig (345 barg), of up to 41 mmscfd (1.16 Msm3/d) of CO2 rich gas (80 mol%) int

Numerical prediction and experimental verification of the temperature rise for a single-phase and a three-phase gas-insulated bus bar with current flow are investigated. Various heat generation rates possibly produced in the gas-insulated bus bar are calculated. To estimate the power loss caused by eddy current, the magnetic field analysis is carried out. The heat balance calculation solving the differential form of an energy balance equation with empirical relations is conducted by using the 5th order Runge-Kutta method. Economic theory is inconclusive regarding the effects of banning third-degree price discrimination under imperfect competition because they depend on how the competing firms rank their market segments. When, relative to uniform pricing, all competitors want higher prices in the same market segments, a ban on price discrimination will reduce profits and benefit some consumers at the expense of others. If, instead, some firms want to charge higher prices in segments where their competitors want to charge lower prices, price discrimination increases competition driving all prices down. In this ca

This paper presents the findings of the pilot studies and recommendations for designing of two-hinged wooden arches. The prototype models of wooden arches with the span of 6mand the rise of 1m were designed. The models had a rectangular cross-section of 180x40mm and a T-section of 180x40mm with a plywood plate with the thickness of 6 mm and the width of 500mm. The main objective of the T-section was to ensure the stability of the arch. Each arch was composed of six segments –boards joined by clamping plates. Our original objectives were to assess the unexplored dimension of alternative splicing as a source of genetic variation. In particular, we sought to initially establish an alternative splicing database for Arabidopsis, the only plant for which a near-complete genome has been assembled. Our goal was to then use the database, in part, to advance plant gene prediction programs that are currently a limiting factor in annotating genomic sequence data and thus will facilitate the exploitation of the ever increasing quantity of raw genomic data accumulating for plants.
