This paper describes existing health promotion systems in Victoria and explains how infrastructure can be strengthened to influence the delivery of local health promotion action. The Victorian State Government has invested in regional support to facilitate the development and coordination of health promotion at a local level. To achieve this the Regional Infrastructure for Improving Health Promotion (RIIHP) model was developed, providing a framework for strategic action. The model draws upon organisational change theory and capacity building methods to highlight the necessary infrastructure fo

ABSTRACT The inbred mouse strain RIII has long been known for shedding large amounts of mouse mammary tumor virus (MMTV) particles in milk and for the development of hormone-dependent early mammary tumors at a very high incidence (>90%). We have established one RIII subline (RIII/Sa) that shows a pattern of virus expression and tumor incidence similar to that in RIII mice. In the present study, we analyzed the milk and mammary tumors of RIII/Sa mice for virus characterization by reverse transcriptase PCR (RT-PCR) cloning and sequencing of the open reading frame (ORF) of the MMTV long termin

Kasvukaudella 2023 vesi puhutti monella tapaa.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT The phage HK022 Nun protein excludes phage λ by binding nascent λ p L and p R transcripts at nutL and nutR, respectively, and inducing transcription termination just downstream of these sites. Termination is more efficient at nutL than at nutR. One difference between nutL and nutR is the presence of RNase III processing sites (rIII) located immediately promoter distal to λ nutL. We found that deletion of rIII dramatically reduced Nun transcription arrest in vitro but had little effect on termination in vivo. However, consistent with the in vitro results, overexpression of a transcript

Within the planktonic Amphipoda, the non-hyperiid species have been scarcely studied in the southern Gulf of Mexico. Zooplankton samples were obtained over a grid of 25 oceanographic stations in the southwestern area of the gulf using a stratified opening-closing plankton net system in epi- and mesopelagic zones (0-1,000 m depth). Sixty-nine individuals of non-hyperiid planktonic amphipods were obtained. Their taxonomic identification indicate the presence of 3 species of Amphilochidea, Cyphocaris anonyx Boeck, 1871, C. challengeri Stebbing, 1888, Eusiropsis riisei Stebbing, 1897, and 1 specie

Abstract Fc gamma RIII (CD16), the type three receptor for the Fc portion of IgG, is expressed on neutrophils, killer (K)/NK lymphocytes and macrophages. K/NK lymphocyte Fc gamma RIII, which plays a role in antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity, is an efficient signal transducing molecule, whereas neutrophil Fc gamma RIII, which plays a role in immune-complex clearance, seems less efficient in signal transduction. Neutrophil Fc gamma RIII has been reported to be a glycan-phosphatidylinositol-anchored membrane protein. Our studies suggest that K/NK lymphocyte Fc gamma RIII is protein-anchore

Viimastel kümnenditel on uurijate tähelepanu keskpunktis olnud neoliberaalne pööre kõrghariduses, mille olulisemate ilmingutena nähakse orienteerumist "turu" nõuetele, tudengite muutumist klientideks, projektipõhisust. Neoliberaalne pööre mõjutab ka õppejõudude ametialast enesemääratlust, mille üheks tulemuseks on mõõdikute rolli suurenemine õppejõu töö hindamisel. Artikli eesmärk on analüüsida, millist tähendust omistavad õppejõud mõõdikutele oma ametialase enesemääratluse eri tasanditel: individuaalsel, organisatoorsel ning riigi tasandil.
