Full textdatabase has been implemented, developed and tested in a GIS environment designed for control, management and planning of the hydrogeological risk analysis. There is in Italy a dramatic situation, in which phenomena such as landslides, floods and pollution populate daily press and media, calling attention to the absolute necessity for the proper planning and land use. It has shown that the need to manage a considerable amount of multidisciplinary information and integrate and compare them with each other for more information requires the development of appropriate control systems using the typical functionalities of Geographic Information Systems. Firstly, noted the extreme heterogeneity in the geological risk, both from a disciplinary point of view both for the data organization within a Geographic Information System, with serious consequences on the actual interchangeability of the data, it was necessary to analyze the terminology used in international context. For a real control of the main hazards of a basin it was also emphasized that, rather than hydrogeological risk studies, it is more correct to use the terms of natural and anthropic risk. On this basis, a conceptual model of database has been developed highlighting the relationships between the various disciplines. Later, an alphanumeric relational database in GIS environment was designed and implemented to integrate the various aspects of land issues related to geological, geomorphological, hydrogeological, hydrological, and anthropical fields. This structure was tested on a sample drainage basin, entering first the available historical data and integrating them with other data from the monitoring stations of the area for which special forms have been developed to import data. Then a series of analytical examples was developed showing the interrelationship between the geological, hydrogeological, geomorphological, hydrological and anthropical components of the basin in the establishment of hydrogeological risk situations. The system here developed is innovative in an attempt to overcome the considerable fragmentation and specificity existing in the field of natural and anthropic risk and GIS databases.

Full textItaly is one of the world higher hydrological hazards countries. This is certainly due to the geological and geomorphological features of our peninsula, but mainly to the incorrect use made of our territory. From the literature research is emerged that the root cause of the problem lies in the cultural attitude of the society toward the geological hazards. For the research experimental part, for the improvement of the resilience, a research work has been developed in the field of risk education. More in detail, the work that was developed constitutes the first example of educational tool for Italian Primary School teachers that concerns specifically the landslide risk with a wide choice of contents and learning variety. During the laboratory sessions of the course Elements of Physics and Physics Teaching, of the degree course in Primary Teacher Education of Bologna, the teaching material was at the same time a work tool for students, and a research tool and data collection tool for the author. After that the same material later became the subject of an educational project in a 4th primary class, as a stage for a Primary Teacher Education student of and in the same occasion, as an action research. The second experimental part of the thesis, deals with the features of the PhD student projects and her personal contributions within two projects of the Engineering Geology research group of the Earth Sciences Department of Florence. Those projects allowed to widen the author's outlook toward the problem of the resilience improvement toward the hydrological hazards.
